Water was dripping through the kitchen ceiling down stairs. Richard and Brad arrived on time and located the leak in a wall in an upstairs bathroom. Put two emergency clamps on an old galvanized iron water pipe to fix the leak and put a temporary access cover over a hole they had to make in the sheet rock. The whole process took little over an hour. Richard said that the pipe needed replacing and that the patches were temporary. That worked for me since I was off on vacation the next day.

They were great. They were very punctual and quick.

They seemed very anxious to sell me new toilets for my bathrooms so it made me a little uncomfortable. I wanted to get a second opinion and was able to replace them for quite a bit less. In the end, they were honest and accurate.

We had to knock out some tile on a tub to get to fix the problem. They did a very nice job. They recommend a tile guy to fix up the work. I purchased the parts from them and they installed it. I paid more than what I would have the store, but they informed me that would be the case beforehand. Getting the work scheduled was pretty easy as well.

We were getting ready to go on vacation and I noticed a dripping water faucet in the back of my house on a Friday afternoon. I called S & B and asked if someone was available. They sent someone out within thirty minutes. This has been my experience with S&B for over twenty years. I would highly recommend this company.

I moved into a HUD home that had been vacant for a couple of years and had no gas meter. Before a meter could be installed by the gas company the City of Houston needed to inspect and give proper permit for the current plumbing system. I had first tried Rescue Rooter of Houston and was not pleased with the service and price. The water heater needed to be updated to code, a gas pressure test needed to be performed, and a permit was needed. The Rescue Rooter tech also suggested that I just go ahead and replace the water heater in addition to bringing it up to code even though there were no signs of rust or any other reason to replace. There was nothing wrong with the water heater. It was a 2007 and it hadn't been used for 2 years so the total usage time was only 4 years. I did not get a good feeling from them and felt that they were trying to get more money out of me than what was needed. When I called S&B Plumbing I was very impressed from the very beginning. The lady that took my call and scheduled my appointment was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. She was able to schedule two techs, Charlie and Jeff, to come out to the house within an hour of my call. I was surprised. These guys called me when they were on their way, were punctual, professional and thorough. The price they quoted me for the work was significantly lower than the Rescue Rooter estimate and they didn't suggest replacing a perfectly good water heater. They started the work that same day and returned the next day and completed the work. They followed me through the entire process of getting an inspection, getting my meter installed, and having the gas turned on. I couldn't be happier with the level of service I received from both the office and the techs that did the work. What a relief it is to have found a plumber that I can trust. I will definitely use them in the future when needed and I will refer them to anyone that needs a plumber. Awesome experience!

The plumber was punctual. My tenant was complaining about low water pressure at the kitchen sink and the plumber informed me the low pressure is caused by debris in the check valve. He said that he will try to clean it up at a cost of $130.00. I told him to proceed. He then said that the clean up did not work and the kitchen facuet will need to be replaced at a cost of $350. This is in addition to $130 I was already charged for the clean up which did not work. Well, I was getting ready to go out of town so I told him to go ahead and do it. He said he will need to come back and do it. However, the next day my tenant informed me that she noticed a wet spot on the grass so I did some research on my own which indicated that I may have a waterline leak. I called another plumber who confirmed the waterline leak and stated that low water pressure was due to the leak. The faucet was fine and my tenant had no problem with the water pressure since the leak was repaired. S&B called me a few days later to tell me that the facuet is ready to be replaced. I explained to them the situation and that it appears that the faucet or debris was not a problem and that the plumber was wrong. Well, I was still charged $130 for cleaning of the debris which did not work. Furthermore, I was informed by my tenant that while checking the faucet, the plumber didn't tighten it properly and it is loose. Now I have to contact another plumber/handyman to go and tighten the faucet. Needless to say, will not contact this plumber again.

I was very impressed with how quickly they responded. They also listened to all the questions I had and explained their answers very clearly addressing all the details I requested. The installers were professional and very courteous.

They were great. Very friendly and professional. They called me beforehand to let me know they were on their way. I will definitely use this company again.

I had a plumbing emergency today and decided to call S&B. I tried several other plumbers and no one was able to come out even though it was an emergency and we had sewage backed up inside the house. The lady who answered the phone immediately realized our situation and did everything to ensure we were taken care of. As promised, I received a call back with a time a plumber would be at our home. I received another call from the plumber telling us he was on his way. Ten minutes later, two men showed up and explained what they were planning to do. In less than 10 mins, we were back in business. If you have a plumbing problem, definitely give S&B a call and your problem will be solved in no time.

Written quote provided promptly as promised. Quote very competitive with others received. S&B selected for job after reviewing other quotes. Received call to inform us they were on the way to do the job. Arrived on time and completed job in one-half day. There was a complication (which was discussed in advance during inspection of the job before the quote as a possible problem) which required some extra work to be done. The additional charge for the extra work was very reasonable and in line with what was discussed during the initial inspection. Bo and all members of his crew were courteous, informative, professional and efficient in all phases of the work that was done. Cons There are no cons. I honestly cannot think of the slightest thing throughout the entire process that was not completely positive. My husband is technical and quite demanding for any work done at our house and he feels the same way. This was an A+ experience.

.The work went extremely well. My house is 2400 sq ft. They finished the job in one day. Prompt, friendly, clean. The price was originally going to be more, but they lowered the price because it went so quickly. These guys are now my plumbers! The price included all the follow-up sheetrock repair of 10 holes by Robert Ochoa, reviewed separately.

Nicole and Mike made an exhaustive search for parts, Mike came fully-prepared to complete the job, and the result - once again - was excellent and within the quoted range of cost. Locating S & B through Angie's List cost-justified my membership in itself, and I HIGHLY recommend S & B Plumbing to those of you who are looking for highly-professional, conscientious and cost effective plumbing service.

They were excellent. They kept me informed of when they would arrive. They unclogged my drains and found a slight problem with a toilet that they proactively found. They even asked if there was anything else besides my original problem that they could fix while they were there. They were competent and efficient.

We had two leaky faucets and my husband was unable to get the handles off. The faucet handle in the wetbar was done in no time by Charlie. Jeff had to reorder a new handle for the shower, asit turned out he was going to have to drill out the set screw. Once the new handle came in, it took less than an hour to replace the cartridge and handle.

S&B was able to come the next day and quickly identified that the leak was from the main line and not from the house line. Bo from S&B was very honest and upfront with me. He was willing to meet and work with the city to locate the leak. Although he did not do the actual repair, but I wanted to pay him to do the extra work (digging) to prove that the problem was with the city main line. He was right after all. The leak was in the service line from my neighbor across the street tapping into the main line which happened to be on my side of the street. The city agreed to take up the responsibility.

Everything went fine. They were scheduled to come out 8/19 but were ahead of schedule and made it out 8/16. Completely satisfied. They got the repair done quickly and I used the Angies List coupon to save about 10%.

Leaky faucet turned out to be some corrosion requiring new faucet replacement. I had to run to store to purchase faucet. Steve B was ready to install upon my return. Very professional and efficient. I would definitely recommend S&B!

Although we did not use them for our Garbage Disposal install, they were very professional in providing rates and discussing the options. Their estimates were in line with a couple of others we had received. (Eventually we went with a Lowes install due to the slightly better price)

We've used this company many times in the 12 years we've owned our home, and they are always professional, on time, and very informative about what they will be doing and why. This was really a great experience. I had been experiencing a strange smell (an intermittent nauseating metallic smell) coming from my water faucets for a couple of weeks or so, and eventually realized the smell occurred when I turned on the hot water. Thus, I suspected this awful smell was probably coming from my hot water heater that was over 12-1/2 years old, and I knew needed to be replaced. I looked on Angie's List and found S & B Plumbing in Sugarland and they had excellent reviews. I called them on Tuesday, and spoke with Meredith. I told her what I needed, and she asked me a few questions as to the size of the hot water heater I would be replacing, and gave me a 'rough' estimate of the cost of the installation of a new hot water heater and the removal of the old one. Meredith then scheduled Wayne Edmunds to come by the next day to look at the situation and let me know what all needed to be done. Wayne was very professional and very honest, and answered all the questions I had. One thing I really appreciated was that Wayne did not try to 'oversell' me something I did not need. He found the leak (evidenced by rust on the pipe) in the attic and said that portion of the pipe needed to be replaced. I was so impressed by Wayne and his honesty, I decided then to let S & B Plumbing do the work without calling anyone else for further estimates. Wayne scheduled the installation of the new hot water heater for Friday morning while he was at my house. Friday morning, I received a call from Jeff that they were on their way to my house. Shortly, Jeff and Charlie arrived to begin the installation of the new hot water heater and the repair of the leaky pipe. Both Jeff and Charlie were very nice and professional, and answered any other questions I had. Before they started draining the old hot water heater into my tub, I told them that my tub was not draining well. Jeff fixed that problem and put a new stopper in my tub. Jeff and Charlie completely cleaned up after they did their work. They pulled a permit, and Charlie advised me that a City of Houston inspector would follow up with an inspection the next week. I received a call from Nicole on Monday, and she scheduled the inspector to come by on Tuesday. This entire experience was a very pleasant experience. I found everyone I spoke with at S & B Plumbing to be very nice and extremely professional. I will call on S & B Plumbing in the future for all of my plumbing needs. I found that their prices/costs were very reasonable. I highly recommend S & B Plumbing to anyone with plumbing needs.

It was fine. It turned out very well. It was a good price. They did it quickly and I didn't have any problems with it.

I contacted S&B (Sugarland) Plumbing along with a few other vendors to gather estimates to replace a portion of leaking galvanized pipe over the master bedroom in my house. S&B was the second vendor to bid the job; and they came in a third less than the other vendors. S&B quoted the work at $300; but ended up doing the work for $275. The initial telephone call to S&B was pleasant and the plumber who came to bid the work , and ultimately repaired the problem answered my questions (specifically about the corrosion rate between galvanized piping and copper piping) before beginning the work. I've discovered a water pressure problem and a toilet problem and I did not hesitate to contact S&B again to bid the work. Expect a follow up review once that work is quoted/repaired.
