There had been a slow drip under the sink that would drip for a while and then stop for a long time. I kept a dishpan underneath and had recently checked it to find the pan full and refilling. So I called S & B on the recommendation of a friend who used them (she found them on Angie's List). The young lady who answered the phone was very nice and set up an appointment telling me it would be Wayne and his helper Michael coming out between 1 pm and 4 pm. They would call when they were on the way. Wayne called at 3:45, and I told him the drip had stopped the day after I made the appointment and I hoped he could locate the source. They arrived in a few minutes, found the source of the leak, replaced the line and showed me the old line where the leak was. Wayne said the metal connector was so close to totally breaking off and I would have had a flooded house. They were both very nice, and it was a pleasure having them in my home.

They were a bit late but called and let me know. They apologized more than once when they got to my house. My son's bathroom drain was clogged up badly. They were very funny, polite and respectful. The guys (there were two) got the job done in amazing time. They explained to me out to keep the drains clean both in my son's bathroom and up in the attic where the line went to the air conditioning (didn't understand it all but they were great). Lots of helpful hints and were neat and cleaned up whatever mess they made (not much at all). I thought they were excellent and very fast, efficient and really personable. And very reasonable as well. Great guys, great company.

Subsequently when he couldn't remove the toilet flange from upstairs he went down to cut the sheet rock to access the toilet flange. The company responded by saying that all prices are discussed before repairs proceed. It wasn't in this case. Mike quoted a price of $275 for toilet flange repair. Subsequently he went downstairs and cut the sheet rock on the ceiling below to access the toilet flange. HE DID NOT DISCUSS THE PRICE WITH ME BEFORE HE CUT THE SHEET ROCK. Subsequently I asked him how much this will cost, his price jumped to $555. He should have discussed the price BEFORE HE CUT THE SHEETROCK. After he cut the sheetrock, what option did I have? Would I have left a hole in the middle of my living room with sewer water dripping in my living area and find a 2nd plumber, or get the repair done at the exorbitant price quoted? This company is a complete rip off and they take advantage of customers in needy situations to charge them whatever they please. The plumber made $110/hr and I think that is not right. The maximum price for this job should have been $450. That is all I have to say about this company. I am never going to use their services again.

I wish I had filmed this. The job required some concrete chipping to properly seat the new flange and create adequate pipe extension to weld in place. Mike did a thoroughly professional job of fitting the lead pipe to the new flange and then soldering. He then installed new bolts to fully secure the flange. The toilet was then set and leveled properly. Tank was then installed, but not before replacing the bowl to tank gasket. A new water line was replaced and the job was done. All work was checked prior to finishing up. Bathroom was properly cleaned. These guys take pride in their work and perform a professional service at a very reasonable price.

They were punctual, friendly, helpful, courteous and professional.

Everything went extremely well. S&B was quick to schedule the job when I called. The S&B crew showed up on schedule and got the job done quickly and accurately. They treated my home with respect and acted in a very professional manner. The price I was charged was consistent with what was initially quoted to me and was very reasonable for the services provided in my opinion. While this was not an overly complex or difficult job, it was pretty clear that these guys knew what they were doing. Should the need arise, I will definitely call these guys first in the future.

Overall experience I will give them an A grade. They are very punctual, and very professional as well.

This is the 2nd time we've used them. Had major sewer repairs done last year at reasonable rates. Service both times was outstanding. Both times when the city inspectors came to sign off, they had nothing but praises, saying the do top quality work, no problems ever. I plan to use them for bathroom remodeling. Water heaters installed in only a couple of hours, no mess left behind.

I will use this company again and recommend them to my friends.

They were able to come out on short notice on a Friday afternoon to do repairs on a toilet. They were professional and did a great job.

Owner was on time for free quote. Price was reasonable. Job was done in 2 days. Very professional crew. I would say this company is probably as good as it gets....high marks for honesty/professionalism.

Overall went well. There was one small delay on a repair and some added explanation would have helped.

The plumbers were Steve Burns and Adam Hitchcock. They called thirty minutes prior to arrival. Arrived exactly at 8:30 A.M. which was the promised time. They men were 100 % professional , and knowledgeable . They completed the work by 11:00 as well as identified a small gas pipe issue that they repaired at no cost. I will call this company, and these two plumbers by name for any future plumbing needs.

I have used S&B regularly for 13 years, even after they left the Bellaire area and set up their new shop in SugarLand. They have replaced main water lines to my house, cleared drains, re-worked faulty installations made by previous homeowner, installed garbage disposal, etc. I am never happy to pay for plumbing services, but after I separate out my own personal grumbling, I always find S&B to be professional, responsive, polite, and reliable from a quality standpoint. I am never uncomfortable with S&B's workers in my home, and have provided keys so that they could work when I was unable to be present. I will continue to use them.

My kids took care of it while I was out of town. I can tell you what my kids said and give you information they left me. They were apparently very efficient and got right out and gave us a couple of options, one that was kind of a quick fix but no guarantee that it would last for a super long time, but the other which was a full fix which was considerably more and so we went with the quick fix particularly since we were out of town. They cleaned up after themselves real well, they left me a very detailed explanation as to what they had done, and what they thought the problem was and what ultimately probably need to be done. So yea, I couldn't be more pleased. They got out here pretty quick.

First, let me say that I have an older house and have used S & B Plumbing several times in the last three years for a variety of plumbing jobs: cleaned lines repaired and/or replaced bathroom and kitchen faucets installed new bathroom sink replaced galvanized pipe from street connection into the house installed water purifier replaced horizontal cold/hot old galvanized pipe in attic with Pex I've found their prices reasonable (and very competitive on large projects) and their service exemplary. I most often ask for Richard by name as he has done the most work here and is familiar with the house; however, other equally good plumbers from S & B have made some of the calls. With one rare exception, I have been able to get an S & B plumber the same day for "emergency" work; other "non-emergency" projects have been done by appointment. I've found the office staff courteous and helpful; the plumbers equally courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. S & B Plumbing is always my first call when I need plumbing services. Ollie Rivers

It was great. They came quickly when I called, they came the same day. They did a good job on their work and the explained everything. They seemed knowledgeable.

Called at 11:30 AM and dispatcher advised that they may be able to shake loose a crew that afternoon. Two guys arrived promptly at 2:00 PM and went right to work. Cleared toilet in about 10 minutes. Adjusted flow on toilet to increase water flush on the toilet and one other that was flushing slow. Superior responsiveness. Price was high given the time spent....probably charged for a two man crew when only one person was needed. Would use again. ..

I usually don't write reviews, but I had to write one in this case. I had water spraying into the air. I called another national plumbing company to come out. They said it was my sprinkler and they do not do sprinkler repair. They charged me $99 to come out. The plumber did not even tested to see if it was my sprinkler. I called S&B plumbing and they came out and found that it was my water main and repaired the ruptured mainline. I was very satisfied. I have given their name to several of my family and friends to use for any plumbing needs.

Everything went according to plan and works great. We have 2 new faucets. One in the kitchen, one in our master bathroom (for our tub). We are able to drink the water from our sinks with our new water filter system. We've been very pleased.

The work they did was great, but the customer service was average. The price was reasonable and I was satisfied with the quality of the work. I'd give them a B+ overall because I had to follow up to get the temperature adjusted. I'm not sure if I'd use them again.

They were very courteous and very professional. 30 minutes before arrival, Richard gave me a call to inform me that he was on his way. Richard and Evan arrived on time. They went to work as soon as they walked in; i apologized for not clearing the space under the kitchen sink and told them that I was going to do it right away; Richard said that they would pull everything out of the sink, do the installation, repair, and put everything back. Richard did everything with such patience and Evan was assisting him and on apprenticeship. The space under my kitchen sink is very small, but Richard did such a wonderful job; he placed the water storage tank in a corner (how he got it there is beyond my imagination) in such a way that left plenty of room for all my cleaners, etc. He notified me when he was done with the work and called me over to the kitchen to take a look at the work performed. He went over everything in such detail on the installation of the water filtration system and on the garbage disposal that i felt as if i had been there with him working on the spot. Richard explained how the filtration system worked, how to remove the battery from the water faucet base. He specifically stated how careful we need to be when removing the battery from the base since it is a very delicate piece. He went on to demonstrate how to carefully remove the battery. In addition, Richard demonstrated how to remove the assembly cover from the Reverse Osmosis assembly. Afterwards, he went on to explain the connection of the garbage disposal and showed me the correct locking position of the garbage disposal. His service and explanation was so thorough and he listened and answered all my questions. I am so happy with the kind of service i received today. I will definitely call on S&B Plumbing Inc. / Sugarland Plumbing again for any of my plumbing needs and will specifically ask for Richard. I am very very satisfied and i am grateful to Angie's List for i don't think i would have found this company with such great service any other way.

They get good marks before they even got to my house just by phoning 30 minutes before their service window was up to let me know they were unavoidably delayed. When they arrived they helped my niece who was sweeping up broken glass from a bottle accidentally dropped in my driveway. Charlie was friendly, professional, efficient, and cleaned up after their work.
