Bo was the main one I dealt with, but everyone was very nice, Bo came out, investigated & quoted a price, which was more than reasonable & fair. They were prompt & friendly and worked with my unpredictable schedule. They actually did more work than was included in the quote, but didn't charge me any more. They even cleaned my bathtub! After the dirt was put back under the house, you couldn't even tell anything had been done; it looked great. A couple of days later, I noticed a problem (through no fault of theirs). I texted Bo right away & he was so nice & reassuring & said they'd be right back out & make adjustments, which they did. I will definitely use them again & will recommend them. Ginny

The plumber (Steven) was here less than 5 minutes TOTAL. He charged $140 for clearing a drain. I have had this service completed several times in the past and have paid $92.50 - for the SAME EXACT SERVICE! The response I got when I called to discuss my bill was "some plumbers are more gracious in what they charge". How can a plumber decide what he wants to charge, and the company has NO standard pricing, is beyond reasonable and professional. Apparently, if we pay $140 for a two minutes job, that means they are charging $4,200 per hour. This is unethical and Jack the so-called manager does not even care, he was rude and I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Richard was extremely helpful and responsive as we discussed options for obtaining parts for the toilet. In the end we used parts he had but he was very patient and helpful during the whole process. In the end the fix was simple and handled by Richard and Austin. Richard also gave me advise on other potential issues I may have around the house.

I would rate them A++++. I used different from Angie's List but you know nothing comes even close to these guys.

Had a great experience with S&B. The faucet supply lines in question were extremely difficult to reach. I felt like the pricing was fair especially for the advice and extra touch up things they did.

Overall, it was not bad while the work was being done. They did tear up a lot of sheetrock, even in areas of the house they had been told had copper piping and did not need to replumb. This was okay though I've used lots of plumbers over the years and can say it is hard if not if not impossible to find one that doesn't do this. The main challenge came when about 4 days after they left, I noticed that half of my yard was turning brown from lack of water. On investigation I realized that they had disconnected and had not re-plumbed a portion of my home. This left one of my hose bibs, my swimming pool and a portion of my sprinkler system without a water supply. I sent an email to them describing the issue thinking it was a simple oversight and that it would be rectified quickly. This is the response I received: "Dear Mr. XXXXXX, I spoke with XXXX this morning and he informed me that he did not touch any of the hosebibs on the property. He mentioned that he did see a hosebib located above one of the rooms, the room with a lot of wood in it, but that the hosebib had been previously capped off. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact our office. I called the office and after insisting quite a bit that the hose bib and sprinklers had been functional they reluctantly agreed to send a plumber back out to "look" at the situation a few days later. After this visit the plumber said indeed they had forgotten to replace the pipe in that part of the house and that they certainly wanted to fix it. The only catch was that he would have to have it put on his schedule for some time in the future. I said okay. After about 1.5 weeks had passed without hearing anything from them I called the office again. At this time they informed me that they had no record of this needing to be scheduled and that the plumber who had come to look at the missed part of the job was out on sick leave so I would have to start over again with another plumber who would first have to come and look at it before it could be scheduled. Further they would need to delay the inspection until after this had been completed. Unfortunately, I needed to be able to repair my walls so that I could move on with my remodel and could not afford any more time to wait on them to complete a job that should have been completed weeks before. At this point I asked them to please go ahead with the inspection and indicated that I would just hire another plumber to complete that portion of the job. Now, I suspect from reading this companies reviews here on Angie's List (one of the main reasons I chose them in the first place) that my experience was not typical. I am sure they are an excellent company (everyone has an occaisional bad day) and overall provide very good service. I will say though with so many plumbing companies out there, I will take my chances with another one in the future and in fact have already hired another plumber to complete the work they did not and complete the rest of my remodel.

Their service and quality is good but the price was too high. They were very responsive and they showed up on time.

S&B were great! Extremely responsive. They had someone out within 30 minutes of my calling and with 4 people fixed the broken pipe in half an hour. The office staff were beyond helpful and nice and the company was willing to accept a payment over the phone since I live out of town. Even better the visit charge is waived if you get the work done. I couldn't be happier and will be definitely be using S&B in the future.

They charged too much. It took them five hours to do that. They shouldn't have taken that long but they weren't in a hurry. There were two of them. It was pretty expensive. They're very good. They did an excellent work.

We just used them once. They were competent. They were fast. They cleaned up.

They worked with the tree company to coordinate the work. They were very reasonable, and actually to me, seemed cheaper than some of the others. But the quality of the work they offer is very good.

We changed quite a few plumbing companies until we found S&B plumbing. We will be working with them for any future project. Before hiring them for the master shower remodeling we invited them in November 2014 to replace two toilets and the kitchen faucet. We were so pleased by the job they did that there were no doubts that they would be our only choice for future works. That is why when we decided to remodel the master shower, we invited Stephen. We are very happy for the job they did and continue working with them.

Went very well. I had previously used them to replace my hot water heater which they upgraded from a 40 gal to a 50 gal with new piping and valves for under $1,100.00 I was very pleased with that so I called them to replace the faucets. They set up an appointment for Monday, May 18, 2015, I was in no rush but they worked me in on Friday and had it completed on May 15, 2015. Excellent job and I am very happy.

Sarah at the office was great. She is very knowledgeable and gave me accurate cost and process information. The two gentlemen who did the work were punctual, polite and obviously very experienced. They also gave me very helpful maintenance instructions.

I was trying to replace a leaky faucet in the kitchen of my 60 year old rental property when the corroded pipe broke off behind the tile wall. I was clearly over my head at this point, so I called S & B. They arrived within an hour of my call, and had to drill away tile and cement to get to the main pipe. They were able to disconnect the corroded pipe from the main pipe and replace the assembly. They were extremely punctual and professional, and I thought the price was fair. I have done business with them in the past, and will continue to do so.

Friendly neighborhood company. Wayne came out and gave me an estimate and went over all that was to be done and the type of pipe and connections they would be using. Set up the work for 2-23. Everything went well. They showed up on time and got after the re-piping. Cut out all sheetrock that was needed to access existing pipes and cut necessary pipes in the attic. . Wayne stated that it would take a day and a half to take care of everything that S&B needed to do and he was right on the button. They were efficient and clean up was great. The guys were a well oiled machine. They recommended a drywall and paint crew that they use to seal up the cut outs and these guys came in a few days later and did their thing in a couple of days. This included a separate water leak damage repair in our kitchen. S&B also replaced a regular commode with a highboy in the utility bathroom.

It took them one day. The equipment failed and flooded my house. They handed it very professionally. They came out quickly and sent a restoration company quickly the same day. They are a stand up company and I wished I could give them an A+.

[ORIGINAL] Replaced backflow preventer and connecting parts in outdoor faucet. Some parts reused and others replaced. Mediocre job, not the quality I expected. Asked for detailed invoice for insurance purposes, but got vague verbiage. Not impressed, considering the previous responses from Angie's list. [REVISED] The owner of the company called the same day that I wrote the review. He sent his brother out to inspect the work and talk to me about my discontent. The next day he came back with new parts and did an excellent job of re-doing the whole fixture. He made it right and made sure I was happy with the finished work before he left. I was highly impressed with the concern of the owners to maintain high quality in their work and satisfy their customers. They also recognized the issues with the employee that did the repairs the first time and I got the feeling they did something about it back at the office. You don't see that kind of customer care these days, it completely changed my mind about the company!

Everything went real well. They showed up within the time the said they would. They were very careful in removing the old HWH and didn't cause any damage to walls or floors. They charge extra $$ for attics of two-story homes, but after watching these guys struggle with taking the old one down and the new one up - it was well deserved. I'm happy with the work they did. Felt like the pricing was very reasonable and comparable to others.

After having several leaks in our rusty 35 year old galvanized pipes we decided it was time to completely re-pipe. We received several bids and S&B was in line with the others. We did receive one very inexpensive bid but that company was using an old style PEX with crimped connections that had issues with leaking. S&B used the latest materials with the proper connections. The entire job was completed in a day and a half thanks to the excellent work by Adam and his crew. We felt very comfortable having them in our house and was completely satisfied with the quality of their work and their professionalism. Undergoing a major project like this can be very nerve wracking to a homeowner but they were very patient in answering all of our questions and explaining every step of the installation. They even recommended an excellent sheet-rock repair company to patch and texture the few holes they had to make in the walls. (see separate review for Robert's Sheetrock Repair) When the city inspector came out to sign off on the work all he had to know was that it was S&B Plumbing and he was satisfied. I definitely recommend them for any plumbing repairs or projects.

Great service. Plumber called ahead of time to discuss the work and ensure we were on the same page before coming out. This helped me not to incur unecessary charges. Work was done well. Staff is professional. I will continue to use this company for my plumbing needs.
