+ 4 moreWe ended up asking him to leave with the job 90% finished, as he and his assistant cause more damage and work than we started with...seven walls needed to be repainted, the assistant touched walls and light switches with black rail paint everywhere, did not use drop cloths, left a mess every night. Job was very unsatisfactory...front door had to be rehung correctly, walls repainted, trim wood replaced was unsanded and of inferior quality, and does not match rest of house. Window sills that were not on the quote and perfectly smooth builder quality oil paint, were repainted badly with latex paint, they show brush strokes and look like a third grader painted them, all needed to be sanded and repainted. Did not sand or prime guardrails before repainting and missed areas, have no idea if they caulked exterior. Assistant broke artwork in bathroom and was unsupervised a lot of the time. We fired them and subtracted $400 from the final amount, but overall fixing the damage cost us far more.
Description of Work: Job quote was to remove and replace front door, door casing, brick mold and threshold, caulk and paint. Caulk garage and exterior windows, remove and replace door casing, brick molding for two sets of French doors. Sand, prime and paint guardrail on two balconies. Remove and replace roof deck door, interior exterior casing and threshold, caulk and paint.
