Mike took great care of me. I manage several residential pools, and recently one of my contractors tried to rip me off. He told me I needed either a new pool heater for $3500 or to replace the blower for $650. Both of these estimates seemed high, so I called Mike for a second opinion. After inspecting the overall condition of the heater, he advised me that replacing the blower was all that was required. That there was nothing else wrong with the heater. His bill was $450, much more in line with what I was used to paying. I have used Quality Pool Service on all of my Sugar Land area pools for over 5 years. He does a great job, and is always honest and fair in his estimates. I highly recommend him.

After 3 months I started to notice algae in my pool. I ended up switching to another provider that quoted and fixed the issue for $600, instead of almost the double. When asked him to stop the service, the owner/manager was rude, finally called me back and sent a bunch of invoices to be paid. I think everything could have been solved with a better communication But I would have never treated a customer in such a rude manner. He event sent an email where he was evidently upset buy me canceling the service. I would have either expected a more passive answer or better yet, a suggestion to improve or keep my business. I paid him every cent on unpaid invoices that I never got because he was sending them to my wife to another email. I am glad I got rid of this rude and nasty vendor.
Description of Work: Customer service is poor. Owner/Manager has no respect to answer email timely. He never provided answer to email regarding quotes for additional services. Response from QUALITY POOL SERVICE
Customer has complained that I did not respond to emails requesting additional work and was rude, in fact an email on 6/27/2014 was sent to his email address concerning the additional work as was a corresponding estimate 6/28/2014. A reply was not received until 8/27/2014 which asked for me to send the estimate again so that we could proceed with the additional work. By 8/27/2014, 3 invoices were now past due. Given no response was given to the numerous requests for payment, I gave his additional work request its due and chose to not follow through until all overdue invoices were paid. Below is the subject of each email received and sent: HER: 06/272014 Hello Mike,The light of the pool doesn’t work. Could you please quote to fix them? Regards, ME: 06/27/2014 Laura...giving a quote for a problem like this is kind of hard to do. I have no idea what is wrong with the lights at this point. It could be just one light has a bad bulb and gasket or all three could be bad. one or more fixtures could be bad, a GFCI could be bad or a combination of all....I just don't know. The way we work this kind of problem is to charge a 125.00 diagnostic fee to find out what is wrong. At this point I will be able to give you a more confident estimate. If you choose to fix the problem, then the 125.00 goes toward the repair bill. If you choose not have it fixed then the 125.00 remains as a diagnostic fee. Below is an idea to cost of each issue which includes parts & labor: You have two 4" pool light fixtures with 250w bulbs and one 4" spa light fixture with a 100w bulb: Burnt out bulb - 135.00 + tax for the first bulb & gasket repair then 95.00 each + tax for the second and third if needed. Bad pool light fixture - 550.00 each + tax Bad spa light fixture - 500.00 each + tax Bad GFCI - 150.00 + tax If we get out there to diagnose and the problem is simply the GFCI is tripped and all lights work, then a simple 65.00 trip charge will apply. As you can see your problem could range from the simple and inexpensive to the complicated and expensive. Please let me know how you would like to proceed. I strive every day to improve communications with my clients and in today's fast paced world, electronic communication is often the most efficient. If he is the one who takes care of the family affairs then his email address and phone number should have been given when service was initially set up. It wasn't until 09/08/2014 that he requested correspondence go to him. If you take notice of my reviews, the only bad reviews are from people that have a problem managing their affairs. If I do work for you and you are not happy with it, express your concerns immediately. I will not charge you for the work and will fix the problem I may have internally that caused the problem. But don't wait until 3 months out and you have run up a sizable debit and tell me I'm the one doing a bad job. I think any reasonable person can see what has happened here. By the way, the previous owner of this property had been with me for since May 2007.

Jimmy was fantastic. He took his time to evaluate all the problems with the pool equipment and the pool itself. It was a swamp. They power washed the entire patio area, replaced all of the defective equipment, and power washed the pool and time. They even saved and quot;Mr. Turtleand quot; who had set up residence in the pool and set him free. We had a sparkling pool three days after they started. We are now on their weekly pool service. A+++++++++!

My wife and I moved into a previous owned home with a spa installed by the previous homeowner who was knowledgeable enough to do the job but not do it to code or to industry standards. We knew the spa needed work. We called Quality Pools and asked if they could come take care of a leaking pump and to have them explain the workings of the system as we didn't even know how to heat the spa. Based on the initial review a quote was given and agreed upon. As Mr. Riley began work he found multiple cases of things jury rigged or installed incorrectly. All through this process, which was originally thought to only take a few hours work, Mr. Riley apprised me of the problems he found, explaining in details how things should be and how that contrasted with what he found. He continued to work, never once asking for an increase in the cost and standing by his original estimate, despite the work taking several visits over the span of multiple weeks that included the 2012 Christmas season. We told him that we weren't in a hurry and that given the problems we would accomodate his schedule; we just wanted it done right. It took a while but I cannot say enough good things about his handling of very messy wiring and unconventionally installed equipment. We now have a spa that works properly and is safe.
Description of Work: Pump replacement, wiring and switch box/control panel installation. Blower installation.

The owner of Quality Pool Service Mr. Mike Raley and his administration of my account was horrible. After 3 months of service I called him for and invoices so I could pay but got no response. He did explain that he had a problem with his computer and was trying to correct it. After 6 months of his service I finally started recieving a bill but just started paying the monthly charges of $150-160 per month.thru June/July 2008. I then asked for an itemized accounting report of charges and when the service started but have never recieved anything until August/September when I recieved a bill in the $1100.00 range.(which now started attaching $25.00 late fees) I again called (no response) and then email him telling him that I do not agree to late fees as he still had not provided me with a list of monthly charges. My last conversation by phone with him was that I would pay $500.00 and pay the balance by Dec. 31, 2009 and decide if I still wanted his services. I delayed to pay him by 1 week as I own 2 businesses and went out of town and forgot to send him the check. I did write him a check #4800 for $500.00 on Sept.28, 2009 and then recieved the email from him listed below. I am a business owner also and am appalled of the treatment by Mr. Raley. It seems to me that he is now threatening me but you decide for yourself. This is his email sent to me today 10/02-09........................ You have to understand something...right now you as a customer are of no value to me and can be easily replaced. You are costing me money and I am not in business to lose money. With this attitude of yours, I will make the decision for you. You are fired. Service has been terminated as of October 2, 2009. A certified letter will be sent informing you of the balance owed. If there is no response, then a Constable will serve you with a small claims writ and I will take you to court. Any attempt to contact an employee of Quality Pool Service other than myself will be regarded as harassment and will be dealt with accordingly. Member was given every chance to pay his bill. He chose to put a down payment on a new Chevy 2010 Camaro SS instead (Here is the news article and video of Member's transaction with Lawrence Marshall, the car dealership that went bankrupt: http://www.khou.com/news/local/65669132.html ). It was not until legal action was threatened and his lawyer advised him to pay did he actually pay what he owed.

Our pool hadn't been cleaned in about a year, so it didn't look too pretty (green). Quality Pool Services emptied the pool, cleaned it, cleaned the skimmers, cleaned the filter cartridges and restored the water's ph balance after it filled. The service performed was timely, professionally done and exceeded our expectations. Our pool is about 10,000 gallons, so I expect the price was based on various factors such as our pools size, etc. We decided to also continue to use Quality Pool Services for the monthly maintenance of our pool, too.
Description of Work: Emptied dirty (green) pool, cleaned it and restored ph balance to water.
