Mars replaced our roof in 2016 and they did a great job at a fair price and cleaned up the entire work site thoroughly. What impressed us the most is the service a few years later ... In 2020 we had a tree limb fall on part of our roof which did minor damage. We called Mars to help us and they sent someone out the next day to replace a couple of shingles and the damaged flashing. I would not hesitate to use Mars again or recommend them to someone else.

It went well! They did exactly what they said they would do. We had zero issues with the roof afterwards! I would highly recommend them.

I had Mars Roofing come out here last in March to repair a portion of my roof that had a small leak. All they did was remove a couple of loose nails from the shingles and stated that because the shingle wasn't properly fastened, it caused water to leach in. Okay. The repair worked for a few months. After another good rain, I called them back (warranty repair). They came back and tapped down a couple of my existing shingles over the same spot. Here we are again (October 31). I walk into the house and the SAME EXACT spot is leaking again and damaging portions of my drywall. I WILL NOT BE DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND I CAUTION YOU ALL TO DO THE SAME.

Two roofers worked for two and half days to replace the roof on our house. They were very experienced and their workmanship was excellent. They did not use nail guns but instead hand nailed all the shingles which is slower but creates a better roof. The positioning of the nails cannot be controlled as well if a nail gun is used. Instead of putting a dumpster on our driveway, they hand a truck with a trailer to collect the old roofing material. They cleaned up extremely well to complete a great job. The salesman was also very knowledgeable and matter of fact. He was a little bit hard to reach on his cell phone during the day but he did return all my phone calls. He completed and submitted the required approval paperwork to the First Colony Homeowners Association so that process went smoothly and very quickly (a few days). I highly recommend Mars Roofing.

From the job bid through installation and cleanup, Mars Roofing did a professional, top-notch job! Two years later, we are still very pleased with their workmanship and highly recommend them.

All the employees that worked on the house were very courteous and professional. After the job was completed all the rubbish was removed and during construction and after they constantly walked the yard with a bar magnet picking up stray nails

The roof doesn't leak and that's a good thing. There were some things that I've asked them to come back and do, and they never did it. I did it myself. But they did a nice job and they were nice men. We treated them nicely and they treated me nicely. It was a job well done and he did it on the time he said he would do it. We had soffit that was rotten; it's exorbitant when it comes to fixing those portions. In other words if there is a rotten piece of wood and it's not part of that contract, you are going to pay to the nose to get it fixed. And he doesn't say that upfront, so that was sort of a surprise.

Everything went pretty good. The workers showed up and weren't sure how to start. The man who gave the estimate came out and showed them what to do. The man came back out and we pointed out a spot that he had missed, he fixed that for us at no additional charge and everything looks pretty good overall.

They were prompt, on time, and did a good job. The pricing was reasonable as well. I was happy with the work and I would recommend them to others.

The company and the supervisor Mr. Johnson provided excellent professional service. They were on time and provided quality service in a quick and efficient manner.

Mars is a preferred service provider with our insurance company and their bid was lower than the company we used in the past. Danny Powell was our contact with Mars. He was very nice and did an excellent job of explaining certain details of the work and their interaction wiht the insurance company. Danny came out to the house quickly to assess the damage and to cover the holes in the roof to prevent leaking until they could come back to do the work. Mars was ready to do the work within a few days of assessing the damage, but we had to wait for the insurance company to finalize the estimate of damages. The crew showed up on time to do the work (they were actually early) and finished the roof, siding and painting in a day. The gutters were replaced the following day by a different crew. The crew was friendly and cleaned up the area nicely when they were done. They did an excellent job of matching everything so that you can't even tell what was replaced. I would definitely use Mars in the future!

The work went well. They started on time, did what they said, and finished when expected. They worked well with our insurance adjuster to support our claim.

They were okay, but I would not recommend them. Once you sign a contract you are not supposed to modify certain items and they switched certain products. They did not do what they were supposed to such as the layer under the roof which was supposed to removed completely, they only removed half. To justify that, they said that there a double layer and also certain roof nails have a red circle around it to prevent leaking. The first part of house they use the red covering and the second part they did not, so I was upset about these things. The owner screamed at my mother when she requested to change it and they did not. We used them because their prices were not too high nor was it too cheap and also because they were close by. The arguments that my mother has had with them, they should not be screaming at their customers, regardless. They finally got the job done, but from the beginning to the end it was not a great experience. The quality of the product that was ordered was fine, but the quality of the process of the construction was not so.

I am very happy with the services and product. The salesman was professional, no pressure and spent time educating me, information provided appreciated and in line with research I had done . The salesman had his own roof replaced by MARS (lived not too far from my neighborhood, and invited me to take a look at his roof, which I did, twice, while making my decision. I was given a list of many other homes to view in my area. The saleman was responsive to my telephone calls. He allowed me to keep the samples for a few days to allow me time to become comfortable with my decision of color. My roof was replaced as the result of the damage from hurricane IKE. A number of my neighbors had already had their roofs replaced by one of the many companies approaching homeowners during that time. I am so glad I researched to find a company on Angie's list. I believe I found the best company. The roof looks great. MARS painted some of the things sticking out of the roof (chimney, pipe, etc) I hadn't even thought of trying to match. The roof was hand nailed. It really makes my house as a whole, look better. They kept the damaged wood that was replaced to show me. The yard and driveway was cleaned up. I couldn't be more pleased with their services and have no hesitation to recommend MARS Roofing.

After Hurricane Ike, we had roof damage over most of our house. We had quotes from several roofers, but Mars had the best price and great reviews here on Angie's List. They were tough to get in touch with due to phone outages for about 2 weeks in October, but when they scheduled the work, they were on time and finished in 2 days. They also altered the order to add additional nails per shingle and allowed us to choose the exact color shingles we wanted. After they finished the work, they cleaned up every nail and shingle in the yard. I would definitely use them again or recommend them to others.

The price was good and the quality was good. They were on time and did the job in a normal manor.

These contractors did a fantastic job. The roof is very steep in places and it still went smoothly. Beyond their work being stellar, while they were examining the roof they discovered hail damage of which, we were unaware. They contacted the insurance company for us and got them to pay for the new roof. All we had to put up was the deductible. There clean up was immaculate, as well. There was not one nail to be found and my flower gardens were unscathed.

They did a wonderful job on replacing this section of the roof and I am pleased with it, the majority of the leak was taken care of. Unfortunately, there is still a leakage problem during heavy storms, but it is a design flaw, not that of the roofers.

Mars Roofing was very professional and punctual. We called them about a problem we had with our roof. We had a small leak, and when they checked things over we discovered that it was just a few loose shingles. Mars took only a few hours to repair the loose shingles, and they were very reasonable in their prices, as we did shop around before calling them.
