Description of Work: Karen was referred to me by a neighbor - I called her up. We went over what type of blinds/shutters I should use. Karen gave me the information I needed, as I'm originally from the Northeast. She gave me an estimate and I thought it was reasonable. Her installer came by, took a look at what needed to be done, and sent a team out within the time he said and they did a great job. I'm very happy with the quality of the work and Karen's quick response to my call. Karen also gave me some good restaurant suggestions as we were new to Houston.

 + -1 moreThis is the third time I have used Karen's Kreations for my window treatments throughout the span of about 5 years. Once for faux wood blinds and twice for plantation wood shutters. As always the work was done entirely to my satisfaction, on time and done right the first time. She pays close attention to detail and when I mention something she has already taken the detail into account. The installers are very pleasant and accommodating of my requests. My daughter recommended her to me and I would definitely recommend her to anyone needing shutters or blinds.
Description of Work: Measured, ordered and installed plantation wood shutters for nine windows.

 + -1 moreIt was a great experience. I called Karen and she immediately returned my call and we set a date to talk. She showed my husband and I different window treatments and we asked for suggestions. She was NOT pushy and gave us estimates on wooden blinds and plantation shutters. However, she did suggest brown shutters for the kitchen and bathroom (which by the way were the same price as the white shutters). What a wonderful suggestion. They look FANTASTIC!!! We decided on the plantation shutters. Her prices were very reasonable. The worker came and measured the windows for the shutters the same week and we got the final product within a few weeks. They were installed today and they are GORGEOUS. Karen came by the inspect the work and to make sure we were happy. We also got to choose what kind of hinges we wanted. Since I have my house in brushed nickel, I went with brushed nickel hinges. Little things like that are important to me. It was a GREAT experience and I highly recommend Karen's Kreations for all windown treatments.
Description of Work: Karen Murphy is the owner of this company and is a true example of someone you would want to deal with when making home improvements. She was pleasant and very professional and her prices were excellent. We had our entire kitchen done in wooden plantation shutters (brown) the door, a huge window and a window over the sink. Karen suggested brown shutters for the richness our kitchen needed and it looks just beautiful. She also put plantation shutters in our bathroom. We have three small windows (they are brown wood) and they match our granite sinks and look so warm. She and her crew also did our computer room upstairs in white plantation shutters (a big window), our daughter's bedroom in white plantation shutters (gorgeous), and our guest bathroom with white plantation shutters. She is courteous, prompt, and makes suggestions if you need help (which I did). I recommend her company highly. You won't be sorry if you are looking for plantation shutters of any window treatments. This is the company to call.

 + -1 moreThe shades were only supposed to take two weeks to come in but they took twice that long however it was not Karen's fault. She did a great job getting them out to our house and installed the same day they came in.
Description of Work: I went to the showroom to look at samples and we chose the same exact Roman shades that were on the windows before. There are seven full length, door size windows that I needed shades for.
