After the hurricane, it was challenging to find reputable roofers from the area who were licensed, bonded, and weren't storm chasers with no ties to the community, who were also available to fix my issue earlier than "in a few weeks" to "months". Some roofers were only doing complete roof replacement and weren't doing any repair work. Richard Baker, the owner, actually picked up the phone when I called him, and despite the tremendous volume of work for contractors in the area, gave me an actual appointment within a very reasonable period of time. He discussed my concerns and I didn't feel like I was getting sold services I didn't need. He was responsive to a message I left for him after my initial call for a follow up question, and delivered on his promised service and price. Jesus was my assigned roofer and he confirmed with me what I needed done and the price Richard and I had agreed upon. He arrived on time and performed the requested work/repairs. I highly recommend Richard Baker and Baker Roofing!

It was hail damage. They were responsive, honest, and high quality.

They did a pretty good job. I thought they were overpriced. I had other bids that were less. I went with them, because they were neighbors. They lived in the subdivisions. I talked to tree or four people who did their roof, and they were happy with them. After I did a couple bids, they were probably two thousand dollars over. They were over price with the other companies would have charged me. Overall the work was efficiently an A. They did a good job on the work. I don't have any complaints at all. The only thing I said is they were little over priced. They did a great job on the roof. What I would share is, like I said, they did an excellent job on putting the roof down. They were fast and efficient. I think it was three days. They picked up all their waste, and removed everything. Picked up nails in the yard, and stuff, as best they could of course. The flashing around the chimney, they sealed it, and also painted it to match the roof, which I though was kind of nice, because I see a lot of roofers don't do that. I am defiantly happy with the quality of workmanship. Well I am hoping that I will never have a problem with the roof again. The roof is a lot better roof than I had. The last roof lasted twenty years. If I need an repair in the next five years, its covered under the warranty, and I would call them.

Richard called me immediately and pulled an aerial view of my home up while we spoke. We spoke about the specific challenges in my roof and he pinpointed the area I wanted him to inspect. He came out the next day and called to let me know he was entering my yard. He then called back and asked to take a look from the inside. He came in, looked around, and then asked if we had a crawl space in the attic. He climbed up there and discovered that the source of the leak with an overflowing drip pan for the HVAC. He said he saw some evidence that the roof may need repair Ina few years, but I appreciate that he didn't try to cheat me out of any additional money by finding a "phantom repair" that needed to be done.

Richard Baker and his installation team did a great job. Richard was easy to work with and was prompt in getting an estimate written and reviewed it in complete detail. My house is three stories and has a very steep roof. His crew started early in the morning and worked until 8pm everyday. His crew cleaned up at the end of each day and after the job was completed did a thorough cleaning of the gutters and all the area around the house. I am very pleased with the job and I feel I received a good quality roof.

The process was smoother than we could have hoped! Richard Baker made certain to be at the house when our insurance assessor arrived. He went over the varying types/styles of shingles we could choose from and discussed their pros and cons. We opted for an upgrade to the roof that cost us about $1000 more than if we went with cheaper shingles. The cost we paid (and noted above) was not the final price, but the price to replace the roof that came out of our pocket (aka the insurance deductible). The men who performed the work were polite and kept the work area clean. We amazingly found only three nails they missed after they cleaned up, which is unheard of for a roofing contractor! The sole quibble I had - and which was largely my fault for not pointing it out - was that our porch was not properly built to begin with (thanks to the previous owner who erroneously fancied himself a talented DIYer), and the roofing crew that came out didn't add any flashing or waterproofing to make it less leak-prone. The new roof was installed exactly like the previous roof, so we're now having to have a bit of caulking done (like we did before we replaced the roof) to fix our porch/waterproofing issue.

Ceiling in living room collapsed, dropping insulation and debris into the house and revealing the underside of the roof. Considered repairing an obvious small hole in the roof, but because the roof was many years old decided to replace. Obtained several bids, selecting Baker Roofing Company's competitively priced proposal. Richard Baker worked closely with me to identify the scope of work and to select materials. The crew was prompt, cheerful and courteous, completing the roof in a little more than a day, followed by gutter replacement a couple of days later. Richard and his crew went above and beyond what I expected. Baker warrantys its work. I am confident they will remedy problems that might occur in the future.

We found a leak into an upstairs closet during a storm on Saturday night. Called Baker on Sunday because they were the only ones that were actually open and returning calls "live" without an answering service. Jesus came out first thing on Monday morning. He helped identify what was causing the leak. He also inspected other areas on the roof to make sure that we did not miss anything as more storms are coming. He was fast, courteous, thorough, and friendly AND PREPARED with his extra long ladders. He sealed pipe jacks, caulked exposed nails, and replaced reset shingles. He assured us that no more leaks through the roof should happen, and if they did, he would come out again to follow up.

Referred by a previous customer. A beautiful job at a fair price. Recently I noticed a small leak on the ceiling (caused by a plumbing leak) but the company came out immediately to inspect for a roofing leak. The nice young man who came to inspect the roof actually found the leaking pipe; He was here for over two hours at no charge. I strongly recommend Baker Roofing.

After reviewing the listing of roofing contractors in my area, I chose Baker Roofing due to the positive ratings and proximity to my home. Unfortunately, we had an initial communication breakdown. My request for a roof inspection was lost in the scramble, but upon my follow-up inquiry Richard came to inspect the roof that same day. Thankfully, my roof was in good condition even following the rain storms during the Memorial Day week. General maintenance was all that was needed. Richard's associate, Jesus, arrived at my house on a Saturday morning and went right to work on the repairs. He thoroughly inspected the area around 2 skylights and replaced shingles where necessary. Jesus also cleared all debris from the roof including removing all leaves in the gutters. I was very satisfied with the outcome.

Excellent. John and Jeff were very professional and provided a number of options for work and pricing. Their crews were also very good and professional, taking their time to make sure that it was done right. John and Jeff always inspected the work and followed up with us to make sure that we were completely satisfied. We are very pleased with their work and would definitely recommend them again. One thing to note: If you are getting your house painted and have brick, make sure to reinforce to the painters that they protect from overspray or have them brush paint instead. The slightest wind can wreak havoc on brick, windows, fixtures, and anything else in sight. The crew we hired for the previous paint job practically ruined our house and our outdoor furniture. The baker guys were very careful and did not leave overspray.

Jesus was the roofer sent to make repairs. He arrived on Friday to review the roof and explained what was needed. He returned the next morning. He removed a number of shingles to fine the leak, patched and added a barrier before shingling that area. The ponded area had extensive damage to the wood under the shingles. He replaced wood and shingles,plus removed the gutter portion causing the ponding. Jesus cleaned up his materials and blew off any debris from the roof. He explained everything he was doing. He did a good job.

I was approached by Kent at Baker Roofing last year informing me that there had been a hail storm in the area and asked if he could check out my roof. I agreed, and sure enough there was hail damage. Kent offered to contact the insurance company for me and handle most of the paperwork, which was greatly appreciated with my busy schedule. The owner, Richard, was great at explaining all the different options for shingles as well as the different ventilation systems. He explained to me how the attic fans I currently had were not efficient and would be better off with ridge vents. Everything went smoothly - crew was on time and finished the project in a quick and efficient manner. One note - there were a lot of nails left in the backyard. Richard came by with a metal detector to find most of them, but quite a bit were missed. Other than that, everything went great.

Baker Roofing completed all work in excellent quality, professional, and timely manner. I am also having Baker repaint my home and referred the company to my neighbors.

Absolutely fantastic. The owner did an excellent job of describing exactly what feafures the new roof would have and why. He also took the time rob describe what the crew would be doing and when. The materials were delivered early. The crew arrived on time and were friendly and courteous.. They took care not to damage our driveway, lawn, or landscaping. Their craftsmanship on the new roof was excellent. Their cleanup after they finished was very thorough. They even rinsed off the driveway and sidewalk. The owner took the time to inspect the competed job with us to be sure we were satisfied with all aspects of their work. Great experience!

After a freak hailstorm hit my house last year I called on a local roofing contractor that was apparently well-liked. At least that's what was advertised. They seemed friendly enough when they came out to give an estimate. But given the very sizable estimate, subtle verbal signals I kept receiving, and the fact that the promises made by the fast-talking salesman kept getting left of of the written estimates were reason enough for me to continue looking for another contractor. That's when I noticed Baker Roofing's yard sign at a couple of houses on my street. So I called. Richard and his crew came out in a flash. They inspected my roof, and explained in great detail the work and materials they recommended, then gave me two options. The first option was to use the typical grade GAF shingles, which is what I had been quoted for by the previous contractor. The second option was a step above that, which was the GAF Ultra HD shingles which were thicker, and gave a more defined appearance. As impressed I was with Baker Construction so far, his quote was appreciably lower than the previous contractor for the same materials and service, but the step up to GAF Ultra HD would end up costing the same as what I'd been quoted previously. So I went for door #2. Inundated as they were with other hailstorm-related jobs, they were at my house just a short week later to put my new roof on. (My roof was not actually leaking, or else I suspect they would have started sooner.) The crew was on time, orderly, professional, cleaned up after themselves, and above all else--they did an outstanding job on my roof. I could tell from the start that Baker Roofing was a company that strived for excellence, and in the end they really were. Richard even went up and took photos on the work in progress and the finished result so I could see close-up the quality of work and attention to detail I was getting. A year later now and the roof still looks fantastic, no issues, no leaks, no anomalies--just a top-notch high-quality roof. Money well spent. And believe me when I say that, because thanks to my lousy insurance company I had to pay almost all of it out of pocket. What's more, even after the job was done and Baker had been paid in full, Richard Baker was still committed to helping me in any way he could. Whether I needed additional documentation for my tiny insurance claim or had questions, he was eager to help. Even yesterday--a year later--I decided to call Richard because since this Spring I've been having issues with wasps in the house. No idea where they're coming from. Having had no luck with local pest control companies so far, I thought about checking into whether there could be some way the wasps were entering the house through the roof. So I called, and Richard was more than happy to speak with me at great length to explain how the roof and vents were constructed, and that it was exceedingly unlikely that the wasps were entering that way. When I explained my futile efforts to find someone who could help solve the problem, Richard was good enough to offer me some suggestions--and even did some offline research and sent me info on three local pest control companies that actually specialize in this sort of problem. I highly recommend. Professional, dedicated, high standards, competitive. What more is there?

When I first spoke to Richard Baker I immediately could tell that he was a professional. he came over and we discussed all options. he recommended that I change the roof, but also game my the option to repair what we know was damaged. I'm glad I went with his advise to change the whole roof, because when the old roof was removed we uncovered major damage to about 7 or 8 boards underneath. The guys who did the work were great as well. They kept me in the loop on everything that was going on. The explained why they were doing what they were doing in detail. When the roof was done, it looked amazing. I chose the 3D shingles and I'm glad I did. They nailed everything by hand (Didn't use a nail gun). They didn't make a mess when they were working, but when they were done, the cleanup was great. Non of my plants and flower bed were damaged at all. They made sure to stay clear of my plants and beds. The gutter guy came two days after and he also did a great job with the gutters. Richard (The owner), who is also a very talented musician I found out later, was so friendly and professional. he came over to check on the work and to make sure I was satisfied afterwords, and you can tell that he takes great pride in what he does and the product and service he offers. We walked around the house and checked everything and made sure everything was done %100 to my satisfaction. A couple days agoi had a question that i wanted to ask Richard about something I noticed in the attic (An old stain on a joist). He came over 2 hours later and went up there to make sure it wasn't anything we needed to worry about. It turned out to be an old dried stain that did no harm to the wood at all. But the fact that he came over so quick really impressed me. I really am glad I chose them to replace my roof. If anyone I know needs any roof work, I will make sure they wont use anyone other than Baker roofing.

Baker roofing was responsive and quick. They diagnosed the problem quickly (caught the real issue that another roofer did not find) and were honest about price after coming to them with a bid from that other provider. I would definitely use again.

Like 99% of homeowners, I was going into a new roof essentially blind. I knew it was time for a new roof, but had no clue what to expect, look for or the variety of options available. A quick call to Richard Baker of Baker Roofing (thank you Angie's List) got a meeting set up a few days later in which he took the time to explain everything. He spent almost an hour going through his photo collection of jobs his crew had done, pointing out specific practices of his work. He then spent time comparing style, color and material with other homes in my neighborhood. This wasn't to "one-up" my neighbors, but to explain the differences between his roofs (or my future roof) and the roofs slapped on by the subdivision builder. There ARE differences you will notice. Richard was also very prepared in that he had a overhead view of my home with the roof line calculations that provided the total square foot (head's up, you will be surprised how big your roof is particularly if you have a lot of peaks). He also had the initial contract pulled together to show everything that came with the purchase. That said, he put no pressure on me to make a decision. When my wife and I decided to go with Richard, we told him we were limited in our available time (yes, he likes someone to be home when you do it). He didn't flinch when I asked him to begin work a week after signing the contract. Sure enough, at 7 am on the day we requested he start, a long flatbed pulled up with all of the material. Holy crap, that's a lot of shingles! Admittedly, I wasn't entirely thorough, but my review of the materials against the contract lined up to what he said he would do. With as much that was delivered, I could see that it would be easy to short-change the contract and things could easily be missed if an homeowner didn't do a review. About an hour later, his 9 man crew showed up. The foreman (actually the father of many of the other roofers) has over 20 years roofing. They've done apartments as well as homes, both big and small. He, with a little broken english, answered all of my questions and let me know the status of their progress. He even had one of his crew do nothing but pick up trash and nails over the two days of work. Most importantly, he was able to remove and reseat my Directv dish when he got to that section :) Overall, the workmanship was great. To this day, I still look at my roof as I'm pulling out of driveway in the morning and as I pull in from work in the evening. Looking at it always brings a smile to my face. Richard said it would take about two days to do the work, and sure enough by 5pm the second day, the crew was done, cleanup and all. Richard stopped over at least once each day to view the progress, discuss issues with the foreman and answer any of my questions. One last thing, my review is a few months late, but not because of anything that Richard did, rather I'm bad with follow-up at times. Mr. Baker, however, is not. He even followed up with me a month after the install to make sure everything was good. When's the last time a contractor did that for you?

Everything went OK. The work was done in a timely manner. Richard was very professional and he left me his business card. I appreciate Miguel showing me the before and after pictures, because it gave me a better insight about the problem.

I'm really glad that i hired Baker Roofing for this project. Mr. Baker is an extremely responsive, hands-on contractor with high quality standards and a keen sense for precision details. From start to finish, I was informed of each day's plan and progress. Mr. Baker's crews were prompt, experienced, skilled and took great care of my property. He visited my home multiple times a day to check on the roof construction progress and communicate any concerns to the workers. It was clear to me that the men who work for Mr. Baker respect him and do what he says. After each work day was over, the crews used magnets to sweep for nails. Once the crews left, Mr. Baker came over later in the evening, inspected the day's work and swept for driveway nails again. On another evening, he brought a family member with him to search for any hidden nails that may have fallen into the driveway cracks. I waited until after we'd had three decent rainstorms before writing this review. So far, the ceilings are dry and I can finally sleep during a evening storm. The price noted above was for the roofing but we also had new gutters installed and the exterior of our house painted by Baker Roofing. Once again, the job was done by skilled, experienced people who take pride in doing a great job. In summary, I got top of the line materials, quality installation and a company owner who worked on my house like it was his own.

I was satisfied with the work. I would definitely hire them again. I had an open line of communication with the owner Richard.

The gentleman who fixed our roof was extremely nice. He had to come out for a second time because there was another leak that popped up and he remembered that I didn't want him to wear shoes in the house...before I came to the door he had them off already and a big smile on his face. It was really so nice. I was home with my newborn daughter, and most repair men dismiss me but he took the time to explain what he did and why there was another leak, and I was so impressed. There are SO few places that have good service these days and this company was wonderful. Bravo to your customer service and respectful employees, you have forever customers.

Baker Roofing was the THIRD roofer I hired to fix a small leak around a vent area that would leak when we have high wind driven rain. I went to Angies List this time. Richard Baker, with Baker Roofing, is very professional and seems to know how to do things the right way and will make the effort to fix them the right way. Price was reasonable. I chose him because of all the "A" ratings he has received. His people were prompt and also seemed to know what they were doing. They found that the air hawk vent had not been properly installed, so they uninstalled it, sealed all the nail holes, reinstalled it properly and sealed it. They also sealed around the other air hawk vent, found another vent I had replaced last year that had the shingles torn when it was installed - fixed that, and then looked around the roof and repaired/sealed some loose nails. It is amazing that the two previous roofers were not able to see the problem and fix it. If I ever need another roof repair, or a new roof, I will be calling Baker Roofing so it will be done right the first time!

They provided a reasonable quote. They were conservative but thorough. The staff was very professional.
