The replacement went very well. The owner impressed me because when necessary, he was willing to get his hands dirty to get the job done and his communication was excellent.

Above All Construction replaced my roof after Hurricane Ike in 2008 and did an excellent job. Now that my roof is aging, I will periodically have it checked for any hail or wind damage, plus check the caulking around all of the vent pipes. Larry Posten is very courteous and is a real gentleman who cares about his customers. The only time he charges is when he actually has to replace any shingles, which is unheard of in this money grabbing world.

I highly recommend this company. Larry is very easy to work with. Communicates well. They showed up when they said they would. They removed the existing shingles and had most of the job finished in one day. They returned the following day and were done by noon. Excellent quality, excellent price.

While I did not go with this roofer, I admired his honesty and integrity. I would recommend this company.

They were too high and I went with someone else. The turnaround time on the quote took a while. They answered all my questions, gave me good suggestions, showed up, dressed appropriately and gave me a written quote.

I found Larry Posten and Above All Roofing and Construction a little over a year ago on Angie's List. We had a leak on our roof which no one could previously find, but were delighted when he not only found the leak but 3-4 others. He was very professional, came the next day to evaluate the roof, pinpoint the leak(s) and scheduled to come back the next day to fix them, which he did. It is not surprising that we decided to use Larry again when we discovered a structural issue around our chimney. We knew our roof was around 20 years old (we were not the original home owner), so we decided to get a proposal for a new roof, seamless gutters and ultimately, exterior paint for the house. We were expecting rain in a few days based on weather reports and were concerned that the area would leak. Larry scheduled the roof to be replaced two days after we initially met. He arranged for the gutter crew to speak with us regarding color choices as well as extending the amount of seamless gutters (with leaf guards) around the house (it seems either the original builder or owners chose not to do so). The painter color matched the exterior paint with the gutter color which was spot on. A special note here. After setting up the appointments for roofing, painting and gutters, I broke my leg and ended up in the hospital for surgery, after which I was there for a few days. Naturally, my husband was back and forth from home, work and the hospital. Larry and his crew worked with my husband's schedule and kept us up to date via phone and texts during the entire project. I mention this because I have heard friends talk about their contractor nightmares. This experience was anything but. I would highly recommend Larry Peston and speaking for myself and my husband, will call him in the future should we need any of the services he provides.

Just found out that our air vents have been leaking for a long time. With so many rainy days, we were anxious to get repairs done quickly. I called numerous roofing companies that either said no or didn't have time to come soon. One company sent a man out who gave an estimate but never got on the roof to see the true problem. I contacted Larry who came out, went on the roof and gave us an estimate right away. He knew there were heavy rains predicted for Wednesday, so he got his crew out on Tuesday and finished all the repairs that evening. That night the heavy rains did come. Larry was very professional and accommodating. We would recommend his services and will use him again for any future roofing problems.

We knew our roof needed replacing and a leak around the chimney flashing prompted us to get it done. Prior to the roof being replaced, Larry made a temporary repair which prevented any water damage, this was good because it did rain prior to the new roof being fitted. Larry and his team were very prompt, courteous and professional, and all work was done as specified. Larry kept us well informed throughout the job so there were no surprises. Larry proposed we use a GAF Timberline HD shingle, #30 felt and weather watch water & ice shield around the the chimney etc. The GAF system carries a lifetime warranty on the roofing materials, and Above All also warrantied the workmanship. The team worked in sections which was good, because we did have heavy rain during the install, and each time they made sure everything was water tight, and no leaks were experienced. In addition to replacing the roof, the team also increased the length of some of the ridge vents on the roof to maximize air flow, this was done at no additional cost. To summarize, Larry and his team did a great job, on schedule, and for a very competitive price. We are very happy with our new roof, and would certainly use Above All again.

Larry was very professional, prompt and courteous. Larry gave me a price and he completed the job at that price there were no additional fees or little extras. He cleaned the area and removed debris. I would certainly use him again and recommend him to others.

Quick and effective service. A serious roof leak demanded immediate attention due to heavy rains in Houston this week. Above All Roofing fixed another roof leak for us a few years ago. I called Tuesday and Larry agreed to take a look the next afternoon. He did, and then went to work on the problem immediately. No water came through our ceiling this morning when we were hit with a strong thunderstorm.

Larry was the only one, who came out to personaly check the roof and give us a quote, other companies just looked on eagle view and sent a quote by mail. Everything I asked for was included in the quote ant the price was very reasonable and a little less than from competitors. His team came early and stared to remove the old shingles and then handnailed the new shingles. They worked until evening and returned the next morning, to finish the job before noon - including cleaning up. Larry has great comunication skills, it was easy to work with him and get answers to all questions. He took care of everything like choosing the right shingles (according to the HOA) and every demand immediately. His team was friendly and respectfull. Our new roof looks great and we are happy clients!

Larry Posten and his son Matt were exemplary in every sense, human and professional. I was left in the lurch by another roofing company, but Above All Roofing & Construction stepped in and saved the day. Mr. Posten came out on the very Saturday that I called him, went up on the roof, gave me a fair estimate, and also did some much appreciated temporary repairs on my roof before leaving. His crew put on the new roof the following Thursday, exactly when he promised. At my request, they took extra protective measures and installed both felt and Polaralum (energy-saving radiant layer) on my roof, as well as extra ice and water shield around fixtures, the latter at no extra charge. They replaced a screen in my attic and on my chimney flue on Tuesday, before doing the roof. Mr. Posten had the gutters installed on the day after the roofing, before the rains came last weekend, and came out and personally oversaw the gutter installation while it went on. Mr P's initial estimate for the roof was a bit higher than one estimate I received, but Larry was congenial, honest, and fair in our discussion, and he gave me a competitive discount. Given the promptness, courtesy, competence, friendliness and overall professionalism and above-and-beyond service with which every part of the job was handled and completed, I feel blessed to have met Mr Posten and his son, and to have my house protected by their good work and, by the way, their excellent *ten-year warranty*. His employees are very clean, kind, professional and honest. I trust them in my house with no one home. All of his employees are top notch regardless of their area of specialty. At the end of each day, everything is thoroughly cleaned. They leave no mess. They are polite and trustworthy. Larry is very responsive, kind and patient. I trust his advice and plan to hire his company again for all of our home repair and construction needs. His prices are fair and he is on the job coming and going and overseeing the work.

I called to have Larry come out and give me a quote on a repair job. He was available quickly due to his proximity to my house (luck). I was replacing a vent jack with a plumbing vent. Because the diameter is smaller I needed to have a whole section taken out of my roof. The job was to be performed a few days later. However, a few hours later Larry called and stated he had finished up a job early and began work on my house the same day as the quote. In addition to the superior products they used in terms of flashing and sealing the vent they also had to run to a hardware store to buy additional piping (not discussed in quote) at no cost. In summary I needed this work done quickly. I didn't shop around so I am not sure on the price I am happy with transaction. Just the way the free-market was intended to work.

The work was done well and promptly. The only thing I was unhappy about was the price. Above All Roofing called in a another roofing contractor to make the new cap and install it. In other words, As far as I can see, Above All Roofing simply acted as a middle man and charged what I would consider a very high price for basically arranging for another contractor to do the work. It would make sense in the future to cut out the middle man and go direct to the main contractor. On the positive side everything was completed pretty much on schedule and the workers turned up when they were supposed to. The new chimney cap so far is doing its job.

Very polite and professional and the quality of work and follow through is consistent. When the time comes to replace our entire roof tiles, we will definitely hire Above All Roofing.

I called Larry (the owner) about my roof and he setup an appointment the next day at noon. He was right on time for the inspection and did the review of the roof himself. He gave me an immediate estimate to re-roof the house and garage that day and we agreed on the job that Friday. Larry is very knowlegdeable and gave very good suggestions on the color of the shingles for my brick color and paint. He delivered all material the next Monday and they started the job on Tuesday morning. Larry introduced his job foreman and the superivsor on Tuesday morning and they immediately went to work. They completed the work in one and half days. The crew was excellent and they performed a complete cleanup of all their debris as well as used a magnet to check the yard, driveway and street for any roofing nails. Larry came by about an hour after the crew finished and then did another magnet inspection of the yard, driveway, and street for roofing nails himself to be sure nothing was missed by his crew. It was fabulous dealing with Larry and his company. Their work was very professional and the quality was great. I would recommend this company to anyone and would definitely use them again. The price of the job was very good and the workmanship was top notch.

Larry showed up exactly when promised, found the spots which were letting in water and fixed the problem where others could only shrug and suggest re-roofing entire sections. Several thunderstorms and rainy days later, dry as a bone. Problem solved. Will use again and recommend his company to all.

All went well. They did what they said they were going to do.

Before moving into our new 1968 house, wanted a wall put in where it had been taken out and floor to ceiling mirrors taken out of the Master bed and entryway. Larry gave a decent quote of around $1800 and could start the work the day after. Scott did almost all of the work and he and Larry were very kind, hardworking, and accomodating. Everything went just fine entryway mirrors down and wall between Master and office went up, then the mirrors came off the Master bedroom and there was mold behind the wall. Part of the was removed to see how extensive it was. At that point the job was paused in order to get a mold inspection and subsequent mold remediation. That work took 2-3 weeks. The mold damage was limited to a extremely slow leak on the house water entry pipe that was replaced to the attic by my plumber. In order to see how extensive the mold was, the drywall wall of the Master came down. Scott came in to remove the old vanity that I wanted to get rid of originally, but wasn't sure we could do so; however, we needed to see if the mold had gone that far along the wall. The lower half of the wall came down and there was no mold. After remediation, Scott came back in, along with an electrician and the carpet guys, to rebuild that wall in the Master bedroom and finish the work in the entryway. The Master bedroom is now one of my favorite rooms in the house. The cost of the job was approximately $5000 if I remember correctly, with all the extras I tagged on as we went along. Larry and Scott were understanding and as soon as we could get the job finished, they were there.

They gave us the best estimate to fix this ongoing leak that nobody could find. On the day of the repair, not only they fixed the ones on the estimate but they also looked at the whole roof and found more potential leaks and repaired them too without increasing the price they quoted us. We highly recommend them. Feels good to find a business that values their work and reputation.

Last year All Above Roofing and Construction fixed a persistence roof leak that a couple of roofers and chimney contractors could not find. All Above Roofing found the problem and replaced my chimney cap. I did not have any leaks after that until a recent series of severe thunderstorms. I contacted the owner of All Above Roofing, Larry Posten, and he promptly came out and discovered a couple of problems with shingles and flashing near the chimney. He fixed the problems and did not charge me even though they were not related to his original repair work.

House looks great! And they had to work around rain. Everyone is professional, courteous and most importantly, show up when they say they will. There is no paint splatter anywhere, which has been my experience with previous painters. Our garage door, which I have never really liked, looks awesome. I highly recommend them and would give them an A+ rating if that was possible.
