Sun Air Conditioning & Heating

Description of Work: I called Sun A/C Heating because I hadn't had my gas furnace checked for at least a couple of years. The tech came out on time and said that there were small cracks in the heat exchanger. Although it sounded like the unit was not immediately danerous, he said that I would start getting headaches because of the unit and the cracks would only get worse. I asked how much it would cost to replace the unit (which was a 1997 model) and he gave me prices for 3 systems (depending on what features I wanted and how much I wanted to spend). Before having them come back out, I did my research on the internet and confirmed that once you have a crack in your heat exchanger, it is in your best interest to replace the unit (carbon monoxide is a silent killer and the detectors don't always detect a leak the way they should). Replacing a leaking unit is especially important if the unit is 12-15 years old, like mine was. Everything I read matched what the Sun technician had told me. So, I called Sun back, they came out and installed the unit, tested it and it is much quieter and more efficient than my old furnace was. [[On a side note, I think one of my indoor animals was adversely impacted by the carbon monoxide leak from the old furnace. Since we started having cold days, he has been acting confused and crying a lot and now that I have the new furnace, he now is acting like his old self. So you may want to pay attention to your animals because they (being much smaller than we are) can be effected by carbon monoxide before we larger humans are!]] At any rate, I am very pleased with Sun A/C & Heating because they gave me a real diagnosis of what was wrong, they didn't try to oversell me on anything, they answered all of my layman questions very patiently and they came out and installed the new furnace as they said they would-- I will be using them from now on!

Description of Work: Contacted them sunday morning with an A/C problem. Their Technician called and said he would be there in one and a half hours. He was there on time. The problem was with a capacitor which he replaced and the A/C was running within 30 minutes. I thought the price was a little high, but it was Sunday and I'm a cheapskate. Overall I am very happy with their service.

Description of Work: AC only needed refrigerant. They didn't try to upsell us on anything else and made additional suggestions as to ways we could improve the comfort of our home. A very professional organization that I would gladly recommend to a friend.

Description of Work: Needed to have a unit checked. Although this was a week end they came out promptly and charged $60 less than competitors quoted for ythe service call. Actually, another contractor had been in the attic and inadvertantly turned off the compressor switch(Even though in bold writing on the switch it said DO NOT TURN OFF )- That was why the unit did not work. Very fair in pricing and shows integrity in their work.
