Beyond frustrated with these guys right now. Been a customer for years. They recently cleaned my filters. I noticed after the service, there was a lot of sediment in the pool, there was no flow coming through the inlets and it was turning green. Called them - they said my service guy is coming Friday and would fix it. No sign of the guy. Finally call again on Friday afternoon, and I'm told he was there. His notes say "PSI low, pool green". Was assured he'd come out Saturday to take care of the issue. Asked several times for Tammy to call me back on this, and nothing so far. Service guy did show up - explained the issue he seemed to understand it. Turned around and he was gone without a trace. Par for the course with them though. You always have to chase them on everything, and zero communication back. I'll come back and amend this if they end up resolving my issue.
Description of Work: Keep pool clear.

They started in the timeframe that they gave us. Each stage was done efficiently and very well done. I was very impressed with the work. They cleaned up after themselves which sometimes doesn't happen when you have work done. They have been very good to answer our questions and any issues that we have had. The only thing I would like to see them do differently is to give more details of the timeline of when we should start adding chemicals, using the pool, using the pool cleaner, etc. I would suggest that maybe they have a written list for their customers to follow. This would be extremely helpful. I know this is a very small thing in the scheme of things. Overall it was an excellent experience.
Description of Work: We had our tile replaced on our pool and spa and had the plaster redone.

Quote process was quick. We took 6 bids total. Sales guy doesn't do the oversight of the work. Told we had a contact for managing the job. Texts and calls were often not returned and getting a schedule of when workers would be on site was the worst. Many of the SZ crews also do routine maintenance of pools during the day and only came out toward end of day to start reno work. Had numerous "intervention" discussions along the way to state issues with communications with President, Sales and the PM. Subs came most days with no supervision from Splash Zone superintendent. Many days only Spanish speaking workers were on site with nobody speaking English to communicate issues we had with the work in progress during cleaning replastering and prep. Splash zone technical equipment guys were good but they only did that part. The final punch guy should have come earlier in process at pool startup. President/Owner did come out and brushed the pool at pool startup for a few days in a row. Pool controls had to be setup and programmed at week 3. Then they realized our existing variable speed pump was not going to be compatible with the upgraded Jandy controls and we had to pay more for a new Jady VSP to achieve the stated goal of being able to control it to turn up speed to run our hot tub instead of going back to the pool pump to manually do it each time. Our waterfall was leaking at project bid, presumed to be one of the lines from 1 of 2 waterfall pumps. Had confidence they could do it since at bid the Owner/President assessed it himself, turned it on, saw a few bubbles in supply. Since it was full of dirt, and they didn't clean until week 4, when they turned it on, it was now leaking worse including 4 or 5 spots in the wall of the waterfall. We requested a leak detection test, and quotes to patch grout. Sent in writing, spoke with office and PM on site, but never heard from them again since we paid them for the initial work in full. They were also working on a new pool next door and saw the Owner and QC guy there several times but never came back. We were told the Owner was mad at us for our repeated calls to their office for us being upset with the lack of calls back. Now hiring others to finish from Mirror Image Pools who I should have gone with in the first place. Our neighbor has expressed similar issues of communications including days where we both spoke with sales and Owner about this and the fact they use all diff subs and nobody cleans up after themselves leaving the area in disarray. Splash Zone should provide more daily supervision of the work they are subbing out and dedicate crews outside of maintenance for these services. They are capable of doing the work but need much more focus on customer satisfaction. Our pool looks beautiful so we are happy with the final quality of the pool surface so far, but still getting the water chemistry to normalize - we requested up front and are paying for two months of maintenance to ensure they are in charge of doing the proper treatments for the new plaster/quartz. We do not plan to use them on a continuing basis since we have managed our own pool chemistry for several years and their overall lack of customer service and attitude toward us for expecting more courtesy for scheduling communications.
Description of Work: Resurfacing 20 year old plaster pool with quartz. Cleaning of calcium lines on rock and flagstone tile edge. Equipment updates including upgraded controls new pump filter and UV Ozone and new LED spa and pool lights. Requested waterfall repair and leak detection and re-piping of pump. GFI outlet updates.

I am very disappointed in the work performed by Splash Zone Pools and regret hiring them. I had them replace the deck, coping, pool tile, electrical, and replace my patio deck. This was a big job, on the order of $17k. The coping and pool tile they did well. The pool deck appeared to be done well, but developed a crack less than one week after completion of the work. There were misunderstandings on the electrical work that I can't explain, but they did fix them. The flat work on the patio was never right, uneven, and poorly done from the beginning. I complained various times. They made some attempts to correct the uneveness, but eventually gave up. The quality of the pool deck texturing was good, but around the patio it is awful. The uneven deck doesn't drain properly and collects water in large and deep puddles. It looks like crap. During the construction, the workers left cigarette butts everywhere. I complained about this and they did clean most of them up, but I'm still finding butts in the yard. The work was projected to take less than two weeks, and it took close to two months. They would just disappear for several days. There was some weather issues, but not enough to explain why they would just disappear. They did not remove all the wooden stakes for the form work, and I'm still pulling those out of my yard. Also, I'm having to use Goof Off to remove deck paint from the coping tiles due to over spray. Now, I'm left with a brand new cracked pool deck and an ugly uneven patio deck with extremely poor finishing and large water puddles every time it rains even a little bit. I complained about this to Henry, the salesperson, but he has just disappeared. Randy came by a few times, and I complained about the work. He said he would make everything right, It is not. I honestly don't think they care, or have any pride in their work. Do yourself a favor even if you have to spend a bit more and go with someone else. I had other bids, and chose Splash Zone. This was a big mistake.

Description of Work: We use Splash Zone for ongoing pool maintenance, our technician, JC, comes each Thursday and cleans the pool and ensures that the chemicals are balanced. He also checks the filter for ongoing viability and lets us know when it's time to get them cleaned. He is absolutely amazing. Additionally, we have had Splash Zone come out and repair our heater a couple of times. And while THAT was expensive, the expense was necessary and the repair was performed effectively. All in all, we have been very happy with Splash Zone.

Description of Work: Power cleaned tile, grout and glass blocks in pool; removed several tough stains. The crew, as usual, did an excellent job - very professional, hard working, energetic and timely. The pool came out looking like new, and I definitely got my money's worth.

I'm sorry we could not meet the expectations of this customer. We made several attempts to satisfy his requests. We pride ourselves on customer service and excellent reviews and try to do everything reasonably possible to make our customers happy. It's unfortunate for both Mr. Farrag and us, that it didn't work out that way.

We used to use Sweetwater Pools for weekly pool cleaning service and were fed up with them so we switched to Splash Zone Pools...They are head and shoulders above Sweetwater! Not to mention they are much cheaper...Only $135 per month compared to $168 with Sweetwater. The coolest part is that they send me emails after each visit telling me everything they did...With the other company I never even got hang tags. Anyway, been with Splash Zone for almost a month and could not be happier!

Splash Zone answers the phone immediately-no recorded messages- and schedules a visit to provide an estimate. Randy arrived at the time agreed to and measured the pool and gave me an estimate. I had over the phone estimates from others that were higher, Randy's price was good. They put me on their schedule about a week later which was acceptable to me. Randy and his energetic young blaster showed up on time, had all the right equipment to do the job effectively and did a meticulous job. The checked and rechecked the quality of the work. It took them most of the day for my medium size pool. My 7 year old pool tile and waterfall now look like new again. I liked the fact that the boss stayed at the job site and actually helped get the work done. Their equipment was in top notch condition, they didn't ask to borrow any of my tools, the truck didn't leak oil on the driveway, they didn't smoke on the premises or hang on the cell phone, and they left no mess behind. Outstanding compared to others I have had the misfortune of dealing with. I would not hesitate to have Splash Zone do any of my pool work and highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Randy removed the calcium and magnesium build up on my pool tile using a high pressure water blast with added Kieserite.
