The crew was professional and efficient. The following week they came back, right on time, to rebalance the air flow, and check in that we were happy with the work. They worked with us to confirm contract details before we agreed to the service. The overall price came in significantly lower than other competitors, and the resulting service was excellent. We will know more if we have any service requirements in the next year, but so far, so good.
Description of Work: Conditioned Air installed two new 3 ton trane air conditioners, two new thermostats, a new concrete pad for the units, evaporators, etc. for our home.

They did not show up this morning for the appointment I had scheduled. They did not call either. When I called to asked them what was happening they said they had an earlier appointment that was running late but could not explain why they did not call to let me know. I had told them when I booked the appointment that I worked and it was important that they show up on time or at least call if they were going to be late. They did neither. This does not seem to me to be a reputable company and I can not recommend them.

I regret that our technician did not make it to your home at your preferred time. We take complaints such as these very seriously. I have spoken with our Dispatcher and Service Manager as to the circumstances surrounding this situation and hope that you will accept my explanation and apology for the inconvenience this situation caused you. Due to our customers expectations that we will completely finish any unexpected repairs before we leave their premises, the only appointment time we can actually guarantee is the very first call in the morning. After that, we can only give an estimated time frame of arrival. We have no way of knowing what our technician will encounter or how long it will take to make a repair on any service call. We should have indeed called you to inform you that the previous call was taking longer than anticipated because you left special instructions to do so base on a specific time. I apologize that our Dispatcher did not realize the time until you called a half hour after your anticipated target time. Our Service Manager did attempted to contact you after you spoke to the Dispatcher and expressed your anger. He attempted to call a few times, but could not get an answer and no voice mail. Under the circumstances, did we have a breakdown in communication? The answer is yes. Have we taken steps to improve and hopefully prevent a reoccurrence? The answer is also, yes. I apologize that you had this miscommunication with one employee, but Conditioned Air has been effectively and promptly serving the Houston area since 1956. For anyone to state that we are not a “reputable company” (which has connotations of dishonesty and lack of integrity) based on this one and only instance, I believe, is excessive and unfair. Truth be told, if I had to rate my company on a scale of 1 to 10 in 3 categories; the customer’s service experience, quality of workmanship, and integrity, I would only give us an 8 out of 10 on service experience. But I would give us a 10 out of 10 on quality of workmanship and integrity. I would love to say we score a 10 on all three. But if I had to choose one 8 and two 10’s on these scores, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I guess that is just where my priorities lie. I am very proud of my people and their commitment to this company and to our customers. They are a great team. But they are human, as I am, as you are. Once again, I regret that your first experience with us was not a pleasant one and can only hope that you will allow us the opportunity to prove the quality of workmanship and integrity of Conditioned Air.
