PALOMO MASONRY

We contacted Palomo Masonry to start the process of getting an estimate for some brick work on our house. We figured we would have to get several quotes from several people and then pick the best one based on cost and service. Karlo called me back within 24 hours and made arrangemnets to come out the same day to look at our house to give an estimate. He was on time and spent the time walking around with us (out in the snow even!) looking at what needed to be done. He quickly gave suggestions and recommendations of what he thought he could do and even seemed like it would be easy to accomplish. My wife and I were very pleased with his recommendations, his attention, and his knowledge about what needed to be done. Karlo said he would email us an estimate that evening and he would even call ahead to say he had mailed it. Karlo called several hours later just like he said he would. The estimate was surprising! We were pleasantly surprised with the amount and even more pleased to see our Angie's List discount. Because of his professionalism and his ease of talking with him, we did not hesitate to book him. He made arrangements to come out 3 days later to do the work. However he called the next day to say he could come a day early! He is very thorough and communicates with clients very well. Something that is not necessarily done in today's world. He and his crew came out and were done fixing our brick within 3 hours. Karlo even went above and beyond to fix some areas we had overlooked. He took the time to actually walk the entire house and just did it. Wow! The work looks amazing. They tried very hard to match the mortar already on the house. The brick looks amazing! Thank you to Karlo and his crew! We are beyond thrilled with the work. We will definitely recommend Palomo Masonry to friends and if we need more work we will call without hesitation.

Karlo came out to inspect the brick work all the way around the house and provide an estimate which he sent via email. We scheduled a day to complete the work and his crew arrived on time, completed the work to my satisfaction and Karlo emailed me an invoice. He accepted my check when the work was done, but I would have preferred to pay by credit card and he isn't set up to accept credit cards.

We hired a stone contractor that was our electrician's neighbor to stone three columns and two half columns on our front porch. They did a LOUSY job, i.e. columns uneven, not straight, fatter in the middle than the top, didn't choose correct stone color, etc. Joined Angies List just to find someone with REAL GOOD reviews. It was Karlo. He returned my phone call promptly, gave me a quote the following day, estimated two days to complete the job, which involved tearing out the previous contractor's work! We chose Austin Builder's stone and asked for the whitest of white stones to be used, which meant that the masons had to pick through the stone and had to break and shape since Builders Stone is in random sizes. KARLO & CREW COMPLETED THE ENTIRE JOB WITH FIVE MASONS IN ONE DAY! We couldn't be happier.

I called Palomo Masonry and left a message. My call was promptly returned and I set up a time to get an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable for the amount of work and we set up the job to be completed the following day. So, 24 hours from first contact to job completion. This is the second time I have trusted Palomo Masonry with my masonry needs and I was not disappointed.

I called Karlo to request a quote. He drove by and emailed me a quote later that evening. He followed up a week later with me to get on the schedule. I told me I needed another week to finalize some items on my end. Finally when I was ready to set it up I contacted him. He called me back and said he would have it done in the next couple of days. The following day the crew arrived around 9 AM built the mailbox, cleaned up very well and were done sometime after 1pm. He emailed me the invoice for the agreed amount. I had no communication issues with him at all. Overall the maibox is good, the only comment I had was it looks like they could have used another brick or two in the arch and used less mortar - other than that great job.

He wouldn't return my calls, so there was no service performed. Unless the disservice of him not calling me back counts. I was patient and was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt since he was so nice to work with in the past. Yes, I'm a little bitter. I gave him a rave review which I believe helped his business. But now, due to his success, I believe, he is too busy to call me back. I wish him well in his business.

I chose Karlo based on the feedback and type of work he seemed to specialize in. True to some of the other comments it took a little while for us to connect. Luckily as soon as he quoted my job he had a cancellation and opening and was able to start my job the next day. Karlo and his crew showed up on time the next morning. I talked with Karlo briefly just to make sure we were on the same page as to what the job entailed. The job was finished quickly and the work was very good. Karlo had to replace a few of the bricks but I couldn?t tell which ones were new. I do recommend Karlo highly, but strongly advise you to follow up your email contact with phone calls. Karlo is a great guy but seems like a victim of his own success as he gets so busy it sometimes takes him a while to get back to you. Be persistent, I don?t think you'll be disappointed with his work. I was so impressed that I had him quote some additional work.

True to form Karlo & crew showed up on time and went about the work quickly. Work was done in a very timely manner and quality of work was very good. The cleanup could've been just a bit better, but wasn?t too bad. Although I told Karlo up front that it wasn?t an urgent need as it was mostly cosmetic, he did take about a month before getting back to me. However as soon as he did return the quote, he did the work within that same week. Again I strongly advise you to follow up your email contact with phone calls.

My experience was very good. My call was promptly returned, I received an estimate shortly after they looked at the house, and they arrived when stated and I'm very satisfied with their work.

Mr. Palomo was quick to respond for estimates/scheduling(didn't even have to be onsite estimate, sent pictures). Work was done in excellent quality, wouldn't even notice that it was a patch job, looks very much like the original. Overall, Had a smooth transaction, paid thru paypal which was very convenient.

He and his crew came and left without issue or difficulty. Work done very well.

I contacted Palomo Masonry about rebuilding my brick chimney after it was damaged by a lightning strike. Karlo promptly returned my call and provided a repair estimate within a day or so. Whenever I had a question, he answered my e-mail and/or phone call promptly. After I indicated I was ready to move forward, he brought some brick samples to choose from. We scheduled the repair and the crew arrived early on the scheduled date. They actually completed the project ahead of schedule, and did a great job of cleaning up. I'm very pleased with Palomo Masonry and would not hesitate to recommend them. I would definitely use them again should the need arise.

Submitted a request by email link off Angie's List. It took them a few days to respond, but Karlo apologized. He came by the house and provided me with a written estimate. It looked good so I tried to schedule a follow up. It took a bit to make contact again as this was by email, too. I recommend calling as Karlo is always prompt to answer the phone. We got the appointment set and his men came by while I was not there. The new mailbox looks great. They didn't have to tear down my brick stand, just collapsed the old one in and mortared the new on into place. Looks very nice. The outdoor faucets look fine now too. Finally, the hole inside the wall required that they cut out a couple of bricks forming the lattice work in the wing wall. They replaced those and it looks fine. If you get up close you can see that the mortar is newer, but from a few feet away it all looks original. I'm pleased with the work and recommend them.

Karlo was extremely helpful from the very beginning! He returned our calls on a timely manor, called us often with questions and advice and made sure he was doing everything he could to get the job done the way we wanted it. He was always there willing to answer any questions or concerns we had and made sure we knew exactly what to do in order to get the job done right. His crew showed up a day early to do the job and finished that same day. Karlo's guys were very hard working, barely taking any breaks and Karlo made a point to show up several times throughout the day to make sure things were going ok and we were still happy. The fireplace turned out absolutely beautiful! We are very happy with it and will be calling Karlo in the furture for other masonry projects. Thank you Karlo and the guys!

I called and spoke with Karlo and made an appointment for the following day for him to inspect my collapsing stone porch. He did not show up nor did he call to say he wasn't coming. I left two messages that were not returned. I decided to give him another chance, and called a few more times until I finally got a hold of him. No explanation was given as to why he did not show up the first time, but he did keep our second appointment. He inspected, did measurements, and said he would email me the estimate that evening. I never heard from him again. Disappointed since he had so many favorable reviews. I went with Stonemaster instead, and am so glad I did.

Karlo called be back promptly and was able to meet me that same morning.Received a estimate that same day andthe work was completed two weeks later.Karlo's crew did a wonderful job and I was very satisfied with the work.

Karlo came the day the work began to ensure his crew arrived and understood the the task. His crew capably performed the work in a timely fashion. In addition to the mortar repair I brought them to fix, they found and fixed several other spots I missed and did not charge me more than the agreed upon price. Karlo returned tupon completion of the job to ensure my satisfaction and for payment. Excellent experience. I am happy with the outcome and the value received.

It went very well, they were excellent. When I told Carlo that I was a member of Angie's List he took the 5% discount off without me having to ask. I could not be happier. Carlo is very professional, when he came to do the quote he showed up at the time he said. He is availible on the phone, you do not have to wait for him to call back. They cleaned up when they were done, there was no mess left behind the job.

Karlo's men showed up as promised on the first days and prepared the area and poured the footer for mailbox in just a few yours. They returned the next day, as promised, and quickly and efficiently cleaned up the old brick and built the mailbox, before the mailman arrived! Great work and my wife loves it.

Excellent experience. I called Karlo and within a week he came out to quote and the job was completed. I have an exterior, faux stone two story chimney that had extensive mortar cracks/missing mortar, etc. My home is clad with EFIS - which makes the job more difficult as the stucco is somewhat delicate. He is very professional and I highly recommend him for masonry repairs/projects.

It went very well. It was quick, Karlo was extremely professional. It was a bit more expensive than I had thought it would be, but the fact that he was able to get it done quickly was a big plus. It was a messy muddy day, and it didn't seem to slow his crew up one bit. At this time I would say that if I ever need any type of masonry - I would call Palomo!
