A car had damaged my brick mailbox. Called Mr. Karlo for an estimate and after seeing the damaged mailbox explain what had to be done. I chose him to do the repairs. He told me that he would send his guys on Tuesday or Wednesday to fix the mailbox. He called again to set an appointment for Monday morning instead. They came around 9 am to rebuild the mailbox. They did an outstanding job and cleanup. The price was reasonable. I would hire them again. I'm very happy with the work and recommend them to anyone.

I left Palomo Masonry a voicemail message on Monday to see if he could rebuild my mailbox that was partially destroyed by vandals. Karlo called me back early Tuesday and asked that I text him photos. He provided me a quote that evening and answered additional questions. In the end, I selected a different contractor...but would definitely consider using Palomo Masonry in the future.

We got 4 quotes on the required work. All the vendors were prompt and professional and came out to give me written quotations. We settled on Palomo Masonry. Karlo gave us clearly the most detailed and professional quotation that clearly spelled out what they were going to do and explained all the related costs. A crew showed up a day earlier than planned (after I was contacted to see if it was OK) and tore down the existing masonry. They cleaned up all the existing materials on plastic sheets in the front yard. The foundation was poured, and the crew asked me to look it over, seemingly very proud of their work. They finished the entire job by about 6pm on the second day. I paid Karlo the balance of job that evening. The next day, my wife went out and noticed a small number of bricks that weren't lined up as straight as they could have been. I called Karlo, and 3 days later, as promised, a crew came back and removed the few bricks and relaid them in a perfect line. My entire experience was great. Communications were prompt and clear, pricing wasn't the lowest of the bids, but was significantly less than the highest bids. The quality of the work performed was exceptional. I'm very pleased with the value I received. If I had any other brick/masonry work done, Palomo Masonry would be the first call I'd make. I couldn't be more satisfied..

I contacted Mr. Paloma via an Angie's list message and included a photo of the chimney to be repaired. He contacted me within a day and asked that I resend the photos directly to his email. I did it that day. 2 weeks later, I still had not heard from him, so I called him again. He said he had received the photos, but that he wanted to look at them again. He said he would take a look and call me back in 5 minutes. I've never heard back. | |

I spoke with the provider by phone and he instructed me to send my contact information to him through email. I did this twice and never heard from the provider.

They did a good job and I would use again.

Excellent communication, easy to schedule, great to work with from start to finish. We are very happy with the price and the finished product.

Called Nov 19th @ 10:20 AM looking for a quote. Never rec'd a call back. Will not do business with a company like this. 2 other companies I contacted called back timely and have hired one of them with the job already scheduled. Businesses need to learn that consumers have tons of choices, are very busy so are looking for companies that provide EXCELLENT service. Not calling back is lousy service.. No excuses

The work was scheduled quickly and performed properly at a reasonable price. I would hire them again.

Karlo sent one of his best "guys" to my home together with a helper. They arrived early and went to work immediately pulling off the old vinyl. Then they replaced the vinyl with felt (as they had promised) and wire so that they could add "masonary paste". I checked on their progress every once in a while so that I wouldn't appear to be critical and looking over their shoulders. What Karlo hadn't told me was that Alex--the lead guy--was not just a stone mason. HE WAS AN ARTIST! Alex picked and chose which stones he wanted to use. He'd pick up two or three, discard them and choose another one. Before they were finished, the stones were placed PERFECTLY. Then they finished with some white grout that matched the stones with what looked like huge cake decorating "socks". I didn't see them finish. All I knew was that they had finished the grout PERFECTLY, and cleaned up the area as though they had never been there. I didn't even care that the stones they couldn't use were hauled away. Their work area looked as though nothing had ever happened there. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Karlo and/or his crew. What a complete delight to have him work for me!

The crew arrived on time, actually a day ahead of schedule since it had rained that day and they moved me up on their schedule, the crew went right to work, about 4 guys. The job went great the cracks were perfectly repaired to match the existing mortar and the bricks he replaced matched perfectly.

From the first contact until the final clean-up, Karlo was nothing but professional, timely and excellent at communicating. I originally hired him to renovate the family room's fireplace, but after seeing how wonderfully it turned out, I hired him to do more work. His crew is friendly and works exceptionally fast. And not only does he do great work, he beat the other estimates I received. I would definitely hire him and again, and highly recommend him.

Karlo response to my initial contact was timely. He and I walked the house exterior to identify problem areas. Karlo's estimate was about $650 less than the other Angies List contractor estimate I received. Karlo agreed to schedule the work around my timeline by delaying work for a few weeks until I became available to monitor [Note, Karlo indicated that he could perform the work without the homeowner present as long as water and power outlets were available however I preferred to be on-site]. Karlo also stated that payment was not required until all work was completed-good idea. After receiving Karlo's estimate, I requested the use of a masonry sealer other than the one included and though more expensive than the one originally identified, Karlo did not adjust the estimate. The work crew was responsive to my presence and addressed areas that I pointed out as work progressed. All work was completed in one day. Clean-up was acceptable but could have been better. At payment, Karlo stated that his crew would respond to any work issues that may have been missed or needed additional attention, at no charge. I very much appreciated this comment.

Still no work provided, but at least contact with a human person. Will let you know after getting a bid and getting the work completed.

The Palarmo crew showed up when promised. They were very easy to work with. They delivered a good product and repair job without tearing down the whole wall. The work was done 5 months ago, and still has maintained as if it were yesterday. I would enthusiastically recommend this company for your masonry needs.

They came out and gave me an estimate without me having to be there so I did not have to take off work. The estimate was less than other quotes so I went with them. It took a couple weeks and some voicemail tag to nail down a time to do the work but they did the work within 3 weeks of me calling. They found most of the cracks but I had to point out one big one to them they missed. I had extra original bricks from when the house was built so I asked them to use those for the replacements. They were not very careful in deciding which bricks to use (some were much darker than the one currently on the house) but they quickly replaced them with the bricks I picked out. I was very satisfied with the end product and I would use them for any other brick issues I have.

Where is the A+ on this thing? Karlo was great. Granted I had to bug him a bit to get an estimate and setup a time to do the work but that just means he is in high demand. After foundation work a couple of years ago we lost about 8 bricks or so way up at the roofline of my 2 story house. Because we had just paid for foundation work (BTW, if you ever get foundation work done, insist on them paying to repair any damage BEFORE signing), any way we could not afford to get the bricks done. By the time we did, the wall was starting to pull away from the house so this cost covered: Tear down and build up from the roof line to the bottom of the upstairs window (about 10 feet by 4 or 5 feet) Partial teardown and rebuild of the arch over the doorway repair of a significant crack on the other side of the house. When they were done, you would not even know it except for the slightly darker mortar which is lightening every day as it drys and cures. The work was excellent. I hope I never need his help again but if I do, I'll be calling him. His rate was also very reasonable. Possibly the best part was that the entire job from estimate to paying him was all over a handshake and trust. He did not want the money until he had finished and I was happy, I never signed a contract and I ended up paying in cash and forgot to even ask for a receipt but knew he would record it as done. Granted you might want a contract :) As a pseudo hippie, it made me happy to work with someone who would do that level of business on a handshake. If you need work, give him a call. He should definitely be in the list you are getting estimates from.

Karlo was extremely professional and responsive. We went with a general contractor for this project since mason work was a small piece of it. Karlo was priced much higher than other estimates. Overall, good experience.

I had foundation work done on my home and the foundation repair included digging through my bricked in front porch. Palomo Masonry repaired by front porch quickly and it looks like new. I didn't have enough original bricks for the work. Karlo came by quickly to give me a quote and to take a sample brick so that he could find more that matched. His team quickly completed the repairs and you can't tell the new section from the old! I highly recommend Palomo Masonry.

Our long-time lawn sevice provider ran over our brick mail box and totally destroyed it. After evaluating a number of possibilities, we selected Palomo. They did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. We would recommend them in a heart beat!

They checked all three fireplaces. They repaired the interior of all three and the exterior of one. They were perfect. They could not have done a more professional job. Their price was reasonable considering the work that needed to be done. They also gave a reasonable estimate on another job that we will be using them for.
