Called Leon he did an estimate the same day I called and showed up first thing in the morning with his crew and stayed until dark and it was finished when I came back to the site the next day. They had cleaned up all the debris as well, other than the missing tree, you would have never know they were there! So quick and courteous! This was a major job and some serious hauling!. The guys did such a quick and thorough job, I would definitely recommend this company for the work and price. He also gave us a discount for being Angie's List member. We called another company and their estimate was almost $900 dollars more!

Called to set up an appointment on Tuesday morning and Leon came out that afternoon on his way from another job. He gave us an estimate and said the job could be done in one day. He and his crew arrived at 8:30 the next morning and went to work. I was very surprised when they were finished in a little over two hours and everything looked fine after we asked to make a few adjustments. The yard was cleaned up and it looked like they were never here.

We agreed on price on Friday and on Saturday morning at 9am, Leon's two workers were on site and I showed them which dead trees I wanted cut and the limbs I needed trimmed hanging over the house. They began immediately and worked all morning, finishing about 12:30PM. They did an excellent job including stacking the wook in neat piles and taking the smaller limbs back into the woods and piling them on a pile with other limbs. While cutting down the trees, they also cut some dead branches hanging from other nearby trees. This extra effort was the work that made me feel that I got my money's worth for the job. Another plus is that Leon let me pay by check. I will definitely use Leon's Tree Service again.

I had already received an estimate from a Fort Worth company that had sent out an arborist. He didn't act comfortable or knowledgeable. Their estimate 3500. Joined Angie's List and called Leon. He arrived the same day, seemed to know his business, gave an estimate, and started the next day. I was very happy with the work (he was 2000 less) and have already recommended him to a friend. Next time I need tree work, NO QUESTION, I will call Leon.

The city of Fort Worth's code compliance sent me a letter out of the blue telling me I had to remove a dead tree by a date 9 days from the day I received the letter, and threatening fines of up to $2000 a day for noncompliance. This is one reason why I will never buy real estate in Fort Worth again; the time frame provided was insufficient to demand such expensive property maintenance, especially when the weather and contractor availability can make it impossible to meet such deadlines. Furthermore, the dead tree wasn't near a street or power line so it seemed to me that the city was unreasonable in telling me I had to take it down. Not to mention the fact that the city's code compliance department's priorities seem really screwed up; they were completely ineffective over a period of months at fixing a problem where the slob next door to my rental property was leaving actual trash all around the outside of her unit; a condition that cost me money as it made it difficult to get a tenant into my empty unit. Basically, she wouldn't answer the door when they came around and ignored the notices they left, and they wouldn't fine her because they didn't know her identity. (water bill was in a man's name and I had told them she was female, and property owner is out-of-state, and they wouldn't agree with my premise that fining either one would manage to apply pressure on the slob....) Suffice it to say, I'm still ticked off at code compliance, when they force me to make expensive changes to natural elements on my property but won't fix unsanitary problems by actual hoarders that cause me to lose money. I had a hard time even getting tree services to call me back, and those that did would leave messages while I'm at work and can't pick up, instead of going by the address I provided them with to give me an estimate as I had requested. I think I filled out about 8-9 different website inquiry forms, but only 2 of those contacted me back. I wanted to get at least 2 estimates to know I wasn't being fleeced, but even getting a second one after Leon's was difficult. Many tree services never returned my calls or online inquiries, a few returned messages, and one was a no-call-no-show on the estimate. Finally I got another one to give me an estimate of $1350; I'm not sure what that estimate included though because it may have included stump grinding where Leon's didn't. Leon was the only one of numerous tree services that was easy to get out for an estimate; he not only answered his phone when I called after work, but came by about half an hour later that same day for an estimate. Leon's crew showed up hours late; I didn't really mind them working later because I think with any kind of contractor its difficult to know when the previous job will be completed, although I think it would have been more courteous to call me and let me know the revised start time so I wasn't tied at home until they got there. Four tall dark and handsome men showed up and dismantled my tree. Not to mention, strong. I was a little concerned that one of them looked kindof young for a hazardous profession, but I didn't see that one ascend the tree. They appeared to know what they were doing and had a systematic approach to bringing it down piece by piece. Leon himself was there; I wasn't outside the whole time, but when I was he appeared to be supervising from a distance or talking to my neighbor who had also gotten a letter from code compliance demanding removal of his dead tree. After they were done with my tree, they took down my neighbor's smaller tree the same day. I didn't try to use the coupon on this site, because Leon's quote was so much below the other quote that I thought he might have already been giving me a discount. Leon only accepted cash or check; I would have preferred if he accepted credit card. I would definitely use him for future work at my home or rental properties, unless I was cash strapped and needed to go with someone who would accept credit card.

It was a very simple process. Day One: I called and left a message; I received a call back the same day. Very nice since I had called several other companies, who, yes, may have been busy but did not extend courtesy to call me back. Day Two: Consult and Estimate. Price was very competitive price plus a discount for being an Angie's List member. Day Three: Professional service rendered and we are very pleased with the job.

Everything was professionally preformed. They really know their jobs and did them as a team.

Leon came out on the morning of Friday, March 23rd to look at two dead trees that we have in our back yard. The estimate was scheduled for 8 a.m. and Leon called at 8 a.m. to inform me that he was 10 minutes away which I appreciated the thoughtfulness of notifying me of his delay in schedule. Upon his arrival he looked at the two dead trees and gave me a price of $375. This was a little cheaper than the other estimate, but Leon also noticed a couple of other large dead branches on other trees and said he would include in the price the removal of those branches as well. I asked when he could perform the work and he said in the same day. So, 5 hours later Leon came back with one worker and took care of the job very professionally and thoroughly being sure to clean up behind them. Upon completion of the work he walked through the yard with me and made sure I was completely satisfied. I would recommend him.

On the agreed on day a two man crew came out. They removed each section of the tree and lowered it to the ground by rope. They knew what they were doing and always acted in a professional manner. They then removed all the debris and cleaned up afterwards. People who know what there doing always make a difficult job look easy. The whole job took about 8 hours. They did a great job and I will certainly use them again.

Although they showed up later than indicated, when they got here, they got to work and did an excellent job. I had a stump removed and had to leave before they finished the job and when I returned, just a spot of dirt remained where it was. All the wood chips and debris was completely gone. Couldn;t have asked for anything better.

Leon came within 4 hours and gave me an estimate for trimming two huge oak trees. I accepted his estimate of $850 as this trimming job was big. Leon and his crew of 2 showed up early two days later as promised and worked all day on the job. I was very pleased with the result. All debris was cleaned up and hauled away. I used the 10% off cupon that was provided on line and ended up paying $765 for the job. I strongly recdommend Leon's Tree Service to anyone and will use his service again. M.F. Bourn

I called the service and was promptly got back to - on labor day! The man performing the service went to my house while I was at work, called me and provided a VERY reasonable estimate. This tree is HUGE and the branches are the size of most fully grown trees! I had some work done in the past, just cleaning out some limbs here and there and that cost me 7x as much! They did all of the work, once I had authorized it. The completedt the job while I was at work, and then swung by on their way from another job to collect their pay. Aso - very clean operation. The branches were all neatly piled on the curb (they do offer takeaway service), and there was little to no evidence they had ever been in my yard! TOP NOTCH! This tree is way too big for this yard, but I am much more comfortable knowing that in the future I can call upon this company

Leon and his crew really knew what they were doing. Several of the trees were in a very confined space between our house and our neighbors.This did not appear to present a problem for Leon,and the work went smoothly and efficiently. They did not use ladders or bring big heavy equipment on our lawn. They are expert tree climbers. As is generally the case with people who excel at what they do,they make a difficult task appear easy. Also the price was right,I doubt that you will find better value for your money. The yard was left in good condition. I was very pleased with the work,and would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again!

Leon's crew (2 to 3) worked steadily and efficiently over two days and overall did an outstanding job in selecting and removing limbs, etc. Clean up was especially noteworthy. My only complaint was completely resolved by Leon; the crew accidentally damaged a Mexican Plum which Leon replaced with a Redbud tree.

Leon and his crew of 2 to 3 others arrived early on Monday morning and worked continuously for 1.5 days. The crew knew what they were doing and performed their job efficiently with minimal disruption. The clean-up was excellent. The only mis-step was when a large Cedar Elm limb fell on and destroyed a 7-foot Mexican Plum tree. To make up for this, Leo bought and installed a Red Bud at his expense.

Prompt service. Leon and his workers (family members) were courteous and professional. I would use them again.

Leon gave me an very fair estimate. I added $100 for some additional work that we had not discussed on the original estimate. Leon came as agreed, went to work promptly. He and his helper worked non stop from 9 am until dark on Saturday undeterred by a light rain shower. He returned Monday morning to finish up. We were not at home to watch his progress, but every thing was done as agreed. His prices are very fair and his work is good. I would use him again.

called Leon on Monday night - he came out on Tuesday and gave me the estimate. Showed up first thing Wed morning as promised. In and out by noon, performed all trimming as promised, hauled everything away and left the lawn, sidewalk and driveway clean and free of debris - no sign they were ever there except for the beautifully trimmed trees! This is the second time we've used Leon and will use him for all of our tree trimming in the future.

Leons crew started Saturday afternoon around 4:00 o'clock and all went smooth including the two large branches over my roof. The crew knew what they were doing. The tree was maybe 35 or 40 feet tall. They stay on job until about 8:30 that evening to complete the job.

The tree blew down on a Saturday evening. I called Mr. Martinez and he came as promised within a few hours. My neighbors and I were amazed at how fast Mr. Martinez and his men got the tree cut down and removed from my yard.
