12DEC2011 914 Renovation Down payment 4JAN2012 Extreme sends crew to demo old tiles, and carpet. Minus living room and 2nd Bath room. Leaves the house in complete mess with thick layer of sticky dust, on top of all items even pots and pans inside kitchen cabinets. At this time when moving the beds, Extreme also damages the bed which is later completely broken by the painters. Extreme does not show up again for another 12 DAYS. Tares out plumbing so that only One faucet in the small bath is accessible for baths no showers. Even that bath faucet is just a cooper pipe sticking out of the wall. They leave a large hole around this pipe that would cause water to splash inside the wall causing permanent framing and sheetrock damage. We taped a plastic trash bag around the faucet so that water is not seeped inside the hole creating further damage to the bathroom. 16JAN2012 Next time Extreme shows up at our house with Dale, Shane and Bill. Assures us that work will get started within the end of the day with paint. But Panting does not get started for another 3 days on the 19th of JAN. This work was supposed to take only 2 days but drags to the 31st of JAN. Even then they are not done with the painting. Painting costs $4000 per the contract, but the painters charge an additional $500 to fix dark sports on the ceiling. During this time the painters cause major issues and damages at the house which I documented and started to communicate with Extreme. Every time their answer was that they will do a walkthrough at the end of the job and at that point they will list everything damaged and will fix after that point. After I saw too many damaged items and the work of the contractors to be very undependable, I started to email pictures to Extreme. 29JAN2012 Gave Check for $3000 30-31JAN2012 Windows get put on at the house. Wednesday, 8FEB2012 I emailed Bill additional pictures of damaged fan blades, broken front door swing block and missing closet door knob. Thursday, 9FEB2012 1) Bill emailed me very large quote from Johnson Custom Floors for shower floor tiles as well as marble used for the trip on the shower wall. This was the first time I have seen these prices since the pricing was different at Pro-Source floors and they are presenting these prices to me after the work is halfway complete. 2) I requested Bill to show how he came to the prices he sent me since it looked like Extreme was ?ballooning the prices.? Also since we agreed on 2? boarders which would create an optimal cut for a 12X12 piece of tile, I wanted further explanation on why they put 2.5? boarders causing much more pieces of tiles to be used. 3) Bill approached me with Shane and requested me to pay the rest of the balance of the contract today before I left for my 2 week long Military work trip. Even though I same them a 2 week heads up that I will be leaving on the 9FEB2012 for 2 weeks. Bill emails me that he feels I am ?buying out? the contract for the project; I reply back by stating that they have walked off the job and I have not chosen to buy out the contract.
