Description of Work: Attempted to contact the company 3 times via Angie's List messaging but they never replied, nor called my cell, nor emailed me. If they are over scheduled, I understand; but I asked them to just tell me that so I could get another company to do the work. I realize the coupon doesn't expire for quite some time, but I need the work done now.

Description of Work: I had 2 to come and they were good. I still need more service since I did not have proper part for one of my lights.

Description of Work: My rental home had aluminum wiring and when I asked an electrician to check for alumicons (special high rated connectors) he charged me $1000.00. Unfortunately he did not tell me all the connectors were not the high rated ones which resulted in a short circuiting of a closet light which could have caused a fire. I called Vince at Veteran Electric and he came out, took pictures of the damage and explained in great length what was in the house now and what he recommended. He was hired to change ALL of the receptors in the house to the higher rated alumicons. He performed the service promptly with minimal mess. He and his workers were courteous and polite. I really felt that Vince was honest, trustworthy and I would definitely use him again.

Description of Work: On Mother's Day we plugged in a couple of cell phones to charge on the same outlet and the outlet sparked and went dead. We called on Monday and they were out on Tuesday morning. The entire wall was dead, including the dishwasher and the garbage disposal. The work took about an hour and a half, and ALL the kitchen outlets were replaced. Our house was built in 97 so I'm sure it was time! Everything works fine now and we are happy that we didn't have a fire!

Description of Work: He installed a new kind of garage door lock. First time for him to install this kind of lock. It went well. I had the directions for this lock.

Description of Work: I found this company on an Angie's List special. I've used different contractors on A.L. that were offering specials and always had good luck with them. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about this company. I'm not an electrician, but I thought the problem of two lights near each other not coming on would be a fairly easy issue to solve. I was not impressed with the "electrician" this company sent out. He didn't really seem to know what he was doing. He kept going back and forth into the house and attic looking for the problem. It looked as if he was just trying to kill time. I had a house guest staying with me that week and as she drove into the garage, she found him standing in the driveway looking confused. She asked me if I was paying him by the hour and I said I had paid for a special on A.L. for 2 hours of electrician time. Anyway, after the two hours were up, he came to me and said he "found the problem", but since the two hours were up, I would have to pay for one more hour of his service time ($65.00) for him to fix the problem!! I thought to myself, what a rip-off. I felt disgusted by the entire experience and cannot recommend this company at all.

Description of Work: They replaced two light fixtures with two ceiling fans. They were quick and very pleasant to visit with while they did their work. I would definitely would hire them again!

Description of Work: Repair one canned light; replace three ceiling lights -- two flush mounts with hanging lights and one small chandelier with a larger chandelier. I was told on the phone that two technicians would come out because I had hanging chandeliers to be put up. Only one guy showed up so my husband had to be the second technician to help hold the hanging lights as they were being hooked up. The technician tried to back out of the install several times because he couldn't figure out how to hang the chandelier on the existing chandelier mount in the ceiling. I had to figure it out for him and instruct him during the process -- I'm not an electrician just have common sense. Two of the hanging lights aren't installed flush to the ceiling because he couldn't figure out how to do this. I had a ceiling medallion that he refused to put up because he couldn't get his hand inside the ring when I've had this done before with a much heavier chandelier. Now I have to figure out how to fill up the hanging chain so the canopy is flush with the ceiling! Lastly, the technician showed up without ANY supplies. Mainly, the canned ceiling fixture had to be replaced and I had to go to Lowe's to get a replacement while this man's time was ticking off at a charge. Fortunately my husband was home so he could continue working on other items while I ran to Lowe's. None of this was informed to me by the manager who I booked the repair/install with. I felt like I was stuck with a technician who only understood the basics of electrical wires and none about install of hardware. Do NOT use this company. Not sure why their rating was fairly high!
