The work was done very well and I am satisfied and would hire this company again.

Vince was prompt, professional, and thorough. He was vigilant in the troubleshooting that had stumped me and many others for days. His vigilance paid off when he repaired the dead circuit and got my coffee station back up and running.

They do not honor their estimate. I wouldn’t trust them to take out my trash. I asked for an estimate to install the outlet in my living room and recessed light on the ceiling. A technician came out and verbally quote us $225 for the outlet and about $225 for each light (which I have to provide the lights myself). I told the technician that I do the light later and I really need the outlet install. He said that he will give me a quote for all anyway with itemization on each job anyway so I can decide. The technician came back 5 minutes later and said that his boss told him the outlet will be $300 instead of $225. I told him that is fine and call to setup for the job. Then I was told the technician who quote the job went on vacation and if another technician can perform the job. I told them sure. Then the week before they suppose to come. I got a call stating that the technician is no longer with them and that they need to come back to re-estimate. I didn’t understand why the re-estimate but they said they need to make sure that the new technician know the job. Lies and lies. Today, they arrive and now give an estimate for $465 for the same outlet job. So from $225 to $300 and then to $465. They then gave the excuse that it was special pricing because of multiple job. They knew that I need the outlet this week and and play this game with me. When I ask who fault it is that their technician quote the initial price, they couldn’t even admitted their own mistake. It’s my fault that you hire crappy people or it is you are so crappy that the technician you hire want to screw you over? Now the CEO send me an email saying that he is sorry and he will “retract” the estimate. “No soup for you” from an electrician. You are not the only electrician around here buddy. Keep doing this and you file for bankruptcy real soon. So dishonest, save your time and money and find someone else.

It was seemingly a DIY job, but he checked currents and found a loose wire. I'm so glad to have a professional do the job.

Got their hourly rate before they came out. Once out, got an updated "maximum price" quote. They then charged the "maximum price" per task instead of the cheaper hourly rate. Worked out to about $150 more for labor than it would have hourly. I'll accept that I could have made more of an effort to nail things down before the work was done, but if a company cares about my future business, I wouldn't have to. The work itself has had no problems. Everything is functional. No breakers have flipped, nothing has caught on fire. The minimum was done. I have cosmetic complaints though. First, they drilled through the brick facade from the inside to outside. That left a couple of inches of broken off brick forming a visible "crater" around the hole. It's faded some with time, but still, it's my house, I own it, and now it's scarred. Had they gone from outside in, any "crater" would have been hidden. That seems like basic stuff that anyone with experience would know how to avoid. Second, they attached the outside outlet box to the outside of the wall. They didn't chisel out a rectangle and recess it into the wall. So there's now this bulky grey plastic box by my front door. They came in a van, you'd think they'd have the appropriate tools to do it right and do it fast. Again, everything works, but I want someone that takes pride in their work and cares about my future business. These guys just did the minimum and couldn't care less if I ever call again. That I overpaid versus hourly is just bonus.

They were great. Professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and eager to help and bring in the job at cost effective as possible. Unfortunately I was unable to use them this time because we got a very similar quote from another electrician who worked closely with our plumbing contractor. Both were equally good and we decided to use the plumbers friend. Vince, the representative who came out to evaluate and quote our job was fantastic Based on the experience I had, even though they didn’t do the work I would recommend them wholeheartedly, and wouldn’t hesitate to use them,

Came on time and did job as expected and promised. Workers were respectful of business.

Work went well - have a dark spot where there is a vaulted ceiling. The guys went into my attic, added the wiring necessary to install several lamps. Now we can see. We have a ceiling higher than my ladder will go - so they installed a ceiling fan that we had previously ordered and did it much quicker than I could do it. Had a few bare spots where we needed some outlets - one on the exterior of the house. They were able to add the lines and outlets without cutting holes all over. It was mostly simple work, but they did it well and they did it quickly. It saved me a lot of frustration and cursing.

Well, Vince, the owner came out and said the 50amp breaker was fine and it was allowed by the code. He said however, there were many multiple neutrals on the same connection - my paraphrasing. He said that it was not up to code and could be dangerous. Even though the breaker is flipped, the wires could still be hot. I had experienced that before when I tested the wires after flipping breaker so I knew he was right. Even though as seller, I did not have to fix this situation since it was not included on the inspection report, I am a man of honor and I felt I should do the right thing and provide the buyer with a safe and well maintained home. I have dealt with many contractors over the years and Vince is truly one of the good ones, Vince is a war veteran, and an outstanding man of integrity, honor, and overall great guy. He definitely knew what he was doing, and I trusted him completely. I would not hesitate to have him do additional work and would be very confident recommending him and his company to my friends and neighbors. btw he changed out the breaker to a 40 amp for free just to help me out and appease the buyer/inspection report. I was blown away by his generosity as so many contractors seem to try to squeeze you for every dollar they can get. Occasionally you do find one of good guys out there, and I personally really want those really good ones to succeed, I am confident that Vince will do only what needs to be done at good price. And after talking with him for well over an hour, and what he has done to make things right - really beyond what any reasonable person would, I truly believe that if there ever is an issue, I am confident he will move mountains to make it right.

The tech was fantastic. We were very pleased with his work. He also gave us a free check on our electrical box and ground. I thought he was very efficient and pleasant. He told us exactly what he was going to charge.

Tried to charge another service call charge for a recall of the original call. Also way too expensive.

Awesome! I purchased a deal for two hours of labor for $150. Marcus was extremely professional but also easy-going. I praise this company for their great customer service, communication, and quality. Marcus went above and beyond my expectations to make sure to identify the problem, do it correctly, and within the time frame. He also explained everything while he did it and didn't mind me looking over his shoulder. I will definitely look to Veteran Electric in the future. I am extremely satisfied and highly recommend them.
