Michael is a pleasure to work with- he has a vast knowledge of most jobs, but also takes the time to learn something new if need be. Our exterior landscape lighting was not working and Michael took the initiative to look into whether or not it would be covered by warranty, but was able to fix it with a new part. We were impressed with how Michael took the time to make sure we weren't buying an expensive new part if it wasn't really needed. He is honest and forthcoming and we will definitely be calling again! Thank you!

+ -1 moreTrim responded to my email promptly and scheduled a technician to visit. Michael came out (on time and called prior to arriving). I explained the jobs. I was concerned their policy of charging by the 1/2 hour would result in slow work and an inflated bill. I worried about nothing. I think Michael had the ceiling fan quicker than I could have unpacked the item. He then installed the outlet, which is in the laundry room and has a laminate backsplash. He warned of the possibility of cracking the backsplash but was able to install the outlet perfectly. Very pleased with the entire experience. Highly recommend Trim Electric

Description of Work: Four outlets had gone out in my kitchen and dining room. Michael quickly identified the problem as one outlet which had been shoddily wired and had now come loose. He replaced the socket, and all the rest went back up.

I was really afraid the cabinet installers had nicked the wiring in the kitchen island that would require tearing the island apart. Trim scheduled the appoint for the next day after I contacted them. The electrician (Mike) arrived ahead of schedule and was excellent. He quickly identified the problems and got everything sorted out. Mike did a great job and I"m planning to use Trim again in the near future.
Description of Work: Rewired kitchen island outlets and converted a 240 outlet to standard 120. Also replaced a circuit breaker.

I don't know whether they would give us an estimate but what we had them do was pretty straightforward so I didn't really think much about it. It was done in what I expected it to be. I don't have a real good comparison for price but I have had other similar work done before and they were not super great but they weren't bad either.

+ -1 moreCalled to get an estimate to have about ~5 light fixtures installed and was told I would be charged $125 for the first half hour and and $65 per half hour thereafter, plus materials and that it would take 1-2 hours per fixture. They would not come give an actual estimate. Seems way overpriced and an unreasonable pricing policy. Not interested.

+ -1 moreIt went great from my phone call to when Michael, the electrician left. I had called 2 other electricians only to get a answering machine. Brittany with Trim Electric answered the phone. She was very professional and polite. Michael was early and worked hard and fast. I was very happy with his work and speed. Brittany and Michael definitely are an asset to Trim Electric. The other company returned my phone call two days after leaving a message and when Michael literally drove off to his next appointment.
Description of Work: Michael, the electrician, did four things 1. Corrected the wiring for the switch that controls the dishwasher and disposal 2. Installed a dimmer switch I provided 3. Demo exposed wiring in garage 4.Demo outdoor lights removed wiring and diconnected circuit

+ 1 moreA power surge took out several fixtures and appliances. He was able to fix all of the appliances and on a second call fixed the refrigerator plug. They came out on short notice and had everything fixed quickly. Will definitely use them for all my future needs.

Shortly after, the technician arrived and installed the outlet. The work area was thoroughly cleaned up and they were on their way by 1:30 pm. + -1 moreTrim showed up on time, spotted the problem immediately. It turns out that the exterior outlets, front and back, on our home are GFCI controlled from an outlet inside the garage. I did not spot that one at all but the electricians saw it as soon as they got out of the truck. Probably the fastest $125.00 that Trim ever made. I have since gone around throwing GFCI circuits and marking what they control. Doesn't harm the circuits nor the house but tells me where to go if and when it happens again.

Description of Work: In 1993, we moved into a house that was built in 1969. There had been no remodeling of the house so all of the electrical work was what the builder had originally installed. At the visit on September 5, 2012, Trim Electric replaced several outlets were no longer in compliance with the new laws and installed a new outlet in the outside wall of our house so that we could have electricity running from a fountain on our patio to the wall without having to run an electrical cord from the fountain through the back door to plug into the inside outlet. In addition, they evaluated the electrical capacity of our electrical system to the house and gave us an estimate on the cost of providing and installing a new breaker box because the old one does not have enough electrical power to run our oven without blowing fuses. We have used Trim Electric for all of our electrical problems and have always been very pleased with their quality of work, service, and professionalism. I do not hesitate to call Trim for any electrical work needed and recommend them.
