This company did a phenomenal job under unusual circumstances. Mr. Selph and his crew were very accommodating and very professional, from the time of the estimate to project completion. I would highly recommend using this company .

The owner NEVER shows up to the job and has no desire to, no matter what. He will collect half of the quote to lock you in and send over a few men. Once he has your money, you're done with. He is sarcastic, rude, unprofessional, cocky, etc. Angie's list will give him the last word, and he will lie like the dickens, but I will tell you what it would be like to hire him. I have about 100 feet of fence on one side of the house, next to a green space with a house that backs up to the lake. I asked for a quote to rebuild the fence EXACTLY like the one that was falling down, except one foot higher and a rot board at the bottom. The old one had 4x6 posts, he gave me 4x4. The boards are spaced with a gap, so after the boards finish shrinking, I will easily be able to pass you change thru the pickets. He told me that, after he bid the job and the men were finishing, that he could not nail the pickets to the backside of the rails because the water was too high behind the house. Our house is the last house on the end of a cove! The lake was always where it is and I told him that if he doesn't nail the boards to the fence that I would hire someone else and take it out of his money. He then said that he would. He will tell you that he gave me two posts that he wasn't supposed to (cost of $10), (the posts in question were so rotten that you could stick your hand thru the holes) but what he didn't tell me was that his men rolled over my sprinkler head and the driveway was full of water. By far, the most stressful experience with a repair to a house in my life and I own two vacation rental properties since 2008. Thought I was helping a veteran but was only helping him continue to dupe people after they make the mistake of trusting him.

Tony's crew showed up exactly on time and built 100 feet of perfectly straight high quality fencing in 6 hours start to finish including tearing out and hauling off the old one. His foreman Jose (super nice guy) went over the scope with me before they got started to make sure we were on the same page and reviewed the work with me after they were finished. Tony's price was within $100 of the other 2 bids I received. I feel like I got the best for nearly the same price as the the other guys.

The crew showed up on time and the final product was exactly as described. Professional outfit from start to finish. I highly recommend Tony and his team.

It went great. They marked the utilities a few days earlier. They took down the old fence and hauled it off. The new fence is the best constructed wood fence I have seen. They used ceder with three cross boards across. They also had the thick board on the bottom going across and instead of toe nailing the cross boards they used metal brackets. The top cross boards is only a few inches from the top of the picket which will keep it from warping.

Outstanding Job!!! Mr Selph and his crew demonstrated the most professional behavior that I have seen from a contractor (service company) in a very long time. Mr. Selph kept me constantly informed of the status of the installation schedule and treated me with total respect. It is obvious that the company is extremely interested in providing the best customer service possible to their customers. In my opinion the job was the most value for my hard earned dollar by my comparisons with other fence companies based on their estimates. In my opinion this quality product has and will add value to my property. Jose and his crew were outstanding and worked on what may have been the hottest days of 2015 up to that point. Their skills and ability were outstanding and it was obvious that his crew treated my fence like it was their own property and had high standards for their quality of the work they performed. Their attention to detail from the start of the work until the final cleanup was most impressive. If you are looking for a high quality, well built and sturdy privacy fence I am certain you will not find a better partner for the cost than the folks at Selph Made Fences. I After reading the great reviews on Tony's company i decided to give him a call. Tony was very knowledgeable and passionate about building fences the right way. He seems to be more concerned about satisfying the customer than making money. Within a few days of making contact with Tony my fence got installed. I was expecting it to look good, being that it was new, however it looked Great!! The two men crew, Aurelio and (i can't recall the other gentleman's name) were fantastic. The crew got here early this morning and worked until the job was done, way past lunch. After completion they cleaned and swept their work space. I was not expecting this level of craftsmanship and customer service for such an affordable price. One more thing, the door hardware and built in locking mechanism is a really nice feature. I will recommend and definitely use Selph Made Fences for my future needs.

Initial on-site contact 4/3/15 - left written estimate. Several weeks of sporatic heavy rain delayed the actual installation until June 11, 2015, during which time I did call Tony Selph a couple of times for an approximate timeframe. On the morning of 6/11/15, his crew foreman, Jose`, and an assistant arrived with the materials and went to work immediately to remove the old fence and posts, and to set up the new structure for nailing the new bottom board and pickets. I was very impressed with the precision and accuracy that Jose` used in measuring and leveling each post, horizontal crossbeams and pickets His work ethic is excellent.and I am please with the results. My only suggestion would be to Tony Selph regarding his "$50 Home Depot Coupon" advertised on Angies List should either be removed or he should note on the estimate that the $50 has been deducted from the estimate rather than assumed.

Tony and the crew are all nice people. The crew does quality work. Big thumbs up on craftsmanship. However, the job was delayed several times. The first delay was understandable with all the rain in the area. Not making the rescheduled date was bad. Not making the following day was unacceptable. Good excuses are still excuses.:-) The original work day was scheduled over 3 weeks in advance for May 29. On May 28, the line locating service arrived at 5pm and marked all the lines (~1hr). Tony rescheduled the install to June 5 due to his backlog from the rain. No problem. Home Depot promptly delivered material onto the driveway on June 4 @ 9:30am. At ~3pm on June 4, Tony notified that the crew was running behind and could not make it on June 5. Stressful! They would be there June 6 by 8am. On June 6, we left a voicemail and texted around 8:15. Tony replied to the text saying the crew was hanging a gate and would be there by Noon. The crew arrived @ 1:05 and said they were tired and couldn't demo and install in the remaining daylight so they would come June 7 @ 8am and provide same day service. They showed up with ?extra help? on Sunday June 7 @ 8am and worked to finish until 8pm. We chose this provider based on other reviews. However, we would not recommend based on our experience. Coordinating with neighbors, scheduling/rescheduling family plans and time off from work was quite an inconvenience. We felt on the hook because we had already paid $1,800 down on May 5 and had a stack of material on our driveway for 3 days. Thankfully, they showed up on Sunday and the fence looks good.:-) Happy ending but we would have been better served if the extra help were called in sooner.

We had significant rain delays. Jose, the foreman on the job, did his best to work around them. When the weather allowed, the job went smoothly and rapidly. The design, construction and quality of the work was outstanding. We and our four neighbors who shared in the cost are all quite pleased. I would definately recommend them.

Owner of company (Tony) reviewed job request and submitted detailed proposal on the spot. Crew was scheduled, but had to postpone several times due to rain. All communications about rescheduling were handled efficiently by phone through Tony. Paid deposit of half the estimate to schedule the job. Company scheduled utility locators who marked gas/electric/cable lines with paint and flags a few days before the job. Additionally, materials were delivered by Home Depot to the house 1 day before the job and stored in the garage (our decision due to the possibility of rain, materials will usually be stored on driveway). Crew arrived on time and finished the job in 1 day with minimal damage to existing shrubs (we trimmed them away from the fence before they arrived and wrapped the rose bush up). Clean up was ok -- had to bury the cable ourselves & fine-sweep the patio but this was expected. All old fence materials were removed. Paid remainder of invoice to crew chief after job was completed and inspected. Tony called post job to follow-up. Was very satisfied with the work and quality of materials (Western Red Cedar pickets and hot-dipped, galvanized ring shank nails). Company provided 1 year labor warranty on all workmanship.

Tried to make contact by sending a message via AngiesList to Selph Made Fences on 3/29. Unfortunately, as of 4/21, I have received no response. I ended up giving the job to another provider.

The weather was challenging but Tony's crew was great! The project took three days which was pretty reasonable, given the amount of fence I had. There was never any fence down overnight; they only took down what they could rebuild the same day, which was a huge plus since I have a pool and everyone, including myself has pets. I was nervous about the tree trimming that would be needed to access and install the new fence but the work was done very well. The fence is gorgeous, as far as fences go, and I love the light aroma of cedar in the yard when the breeze blows! Overall, great work!

Selph arrived and provided me with a competitive quote. Texas Fence's quote was about $100 cheaper, however, they had the measurements slightly wrong with the proposal (shorter than I needed), so I went with Selph. Selph was also willing to make a custom gate that opens indoor, whereas Texas Fence just indicated that gates open outdoor. Since I needed the work done pretty fast, they have brought the backup team to work on my fence. The work was done professionally and within a day. I am happy with the outcome of the job and the cost.

Tony was good about keeping me updated with scheduling and getting the job shoehorned in during a bad wet period that surely delayed a lot of jobs. The guys were a bit late showing up, but that was due to a lot of construction in the area detouring them to odd places. Fence went up amazingly fast (I thought), and they were done in a day in spite of buried concrete and bricks on the lot.

Tony was very detailed about what work would be done and was very attentive to all questions. His crew was very professional and did a great job working around a tree along the lot line. I am very please and wish my whole fence line looked this nice!

The construction quality was good and done quickly. The only issues were that the crew left a little mess behind which we needed to clean up. They left quite a few cigarette butts that we discovered much later. In the future , I suggest that the provider instruct their crew about this. Otherwise, good quality work and easy to work with. Good after sales service and very responsive

Contacted Tony via phone, explained the request for fencing and he gave me a detailed description of the fence he would install as well as a rough estimate of the cost over the phone. He visited the site and provided me a firm detailed proposal the next day. Scheduled the install and everything went smoothly. Jose and his assistant constructed the fence along with a rot board along the base and it looks great. Would definitely use Tony and Jose again and refer business his way.

They were very good. They guy they sent, Jose, and his crew were perfect. They did a great job on the installation and cleaned everything up afterwards.

These poor guys had to reschedule with us like 3-4 times, due to that month the Houston area getting much more rain than possible, and it was pushing the job back. Each time they would notify us, and we were finally able to get the job complete. These guys used only the highest grade of materials, and they took the time to show me how they take extra care and used a more superior method of installation, compared to the rest of my fencing around my yard. The crew was extremely clean, and thurogh. The job called for them curling thru our concrete driveway and patio, to place the main posts, and they did a very nice, neat and professional job of that too. We are overall very pleased with Selph Made Fences, and will use them again when it is time to replace our decking and fencing.

As a group of neighbors we asked 4 businesses for detailed quotes; we had also specific demands / questions, about the used materials, how to place rot boar, duration etc. Tony Selph did one thing really good, ... he listened, and worked with all of us to get it designed and quoted how we wanted it. He was number "2" regarding the lowest price, but the attention and professionalism he demonstrated was great. The work what was performed and daily supervised by Jose Hernandez, is of excellent quality. Tony Selph uses true craftmen, who know carpentry, and that is visible, ... it looks great, and we got what we wanted, actually above expectations. Definitely a yes for Selph Made Fences.

Since receiving his bid I still have not found a job. I also was severely bitten by a dog and had hand surgery two weeks ago. I hope to have this work done by March. The contractor arrived on time and completed the estimate while at my home. I am very happy with the contractor and will have the work done as soon as I return to work.

The service went well. Everything went perfectly. They were very efficient and quick workers. Two technicians came out and completed the job in 1 day. I really liked that they were able to get everything done quickly and did exactly they said they would. I had no problem scheduling the service and they were veryresponsive. They came out within a few days of us calling.
