Description of Work: Outline of work performed: Master Bath - (was previously demo'd before hiring R.S.)- Remodel Specialists installed rock wall, shower tile, bathroom floor, stand alone tub, vessel sinks, toilet, granite countertops and granite slab under the tub, supplying all materials. I later learned (when we received our invoice) that the granite that I chose was $600.00 more than their bid. Although our master bath looks great and we were very happy with his tile installers, we only saw his "project manager" when we had a problem. The first problem occurred when his crew told us they were finished with the job and this project was complete. When we checked, at first glance it looked really awesome. But, when you touched the vessel sinks and the stand alone tub, they were not even connected. The sinks and tub would spin almost completely around and the tub drain was not connected at all. We called Jim and he personally came out to properly mount and secure them. He had to return again twice because the tub leaked. When we first purchased the tile, Jim (owner) told us this particular tile was to be discontinued, so we would need to buy ALL of the tile necessary (thru him) for whatever areas we planned to cover - and buy it fast! In our case it was 1500 sq.ft. and we bought it all - Later we learned that the tile was never in jeopardy of being discontinued and we had overpaid for it. We then had them deliver all of it to our house - We hired another company to install the rest of our house ($5000 cheaper than Rem. Spec and just a good!) | |Retiled Fireplace and added granite slab hearth: The tile guy (Ruben) did a great job, but I did not receive the same granite that I chose at Jim's chosen granite yard (Lackstone). At the beginning of this project, I met Jim's wife at Lackstone and picked the granite of my choice. I made sure to ask her if THIS granite was within her proposed budget, so we wouldn't again be shocked when our invoice was emailed to us. She assured me that it was. The day the granite hearth was to be installed, no one had yet shown up to install it by 2:PM, so I called their office. I was told by their office girl (Sarah) that the slab that I had picked was too small for the space (which did not seem true to me, as I saw it first hand) so they were waiting on the new slab to arrive and be cut. A couple of days later, the installers showed up with a pre-cut black granite slab (the slab I had picked was grey). I called Jim upset and he stated that this was definitely from the same slab, that it just looked different in the sun. It also seemed to me to be of cheaper quality. For now, I am simply stuck with it. | |Master Bedroom Hardwood Floor - Our original proposal from Jim called for leveling, however the floor installer (Jim's brother)stated that our floor was level and leveling would not be necessary. However the charge for leveling was on our final invoice (along with a charge to place felt under our furniture, when there was no furniture). The day after the floor installation, we noticed several areas of the floor that sink and creak when you walk on them. Too late now! | |My opinion. Although at first very pleasant, these people are morally bankrupt. |

Description of Work: They called me quickly after I left a message. They explained that they couldn't do what I needed and they recommended a provider that could do it...How great is that!

Description of Work: Shower pan was leaking. Jim came out and gave us some honest opinions as to what we should and should not do to fix the pan. He then offered some alternatives, which sounded good to us. We went with his opinion, and we are glad we did. Workers were on time, did a great job, and we are very pleased with the work. Price was in line with what was done. The workers also took great care in protecting the rest of the house.

Description of Work: Removed all existing shower glass and frame work.remove all eisting hard surface, wall board and sheet rock. Install new ceramic tiles. put new shower head. Clemente and his buddy did excellent job in tile work. We are very happy with their work. Jim Godrey and his office staff was very co operative. We will use their service in future, if we needed. Description of Work: I called to have them come to my house to give an estimate. In their ad they say they service the Katy area but when I called, they wouldn't come to my house. Money they lost. I would never use them.

Description of Work: Remodel Specialists recently completely two fairly large remodeling projects at our home. All of Jim and Lori's employees seem to be very professional and trust worthy. Both jobs were completed on time and to our satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend Remodel Specialists for any remodeling job.
