Wonderful work - some challenges with subcontractors, particularly granite folks but total project exceeded our expectations. Beautiful results

This was the best remodeling experience I ever had! Remodeling Specialists came in to fix the bad job of a previous contractor. (Hurricane damage, fixed by a contractor, who disappeared, leaving the job unfinished and with my check) Jim Godre, owner of Remodeling Specialists, carefully assessed my project. It had to be completely gutted! He walked me through the entire process, explained every step, gave me options and great advice on what improvements would increase the value of my home. As a Single, working Mom, who had just been terribly ripped off, I had major anxiety about remodeling again. Remodeling Specialists reinstalled my faith in contractors. Every morning you get an email, explaining the scope of work for the day. All employees are permanent employees of this company. They are trustworthy and take great pride in their work. Floors, carpets and furniture were maliciously covered. Every night the workmen cleaned up after themselves. Issues that came up during the remodeling process were addressed and the crew went way and beyond to resolve them. Jim was kind enough to contact the previous plumber, who had set the tub incorrectly, and negotiated a refund so I could pay to have it reset again. All work was done on time and in excellent quality. Questions were answered immediately. I admit that I was all over the place with excitement and kept adding to the project. My additional requests were incorporated with ease. The work this company provides is excellent and very versatile. It is an Old School Family business that takes great pride in their work and creates a healthy work environment which is reflected in their employees. My Contractor for Life!!! Remodel Specialists is a family owned business. They do not use subcontractors. Their employees do all of the work except for the shower glass. I have been in the construction business, one way or another, for over 30 years and can tell you from experience that relying on subcontractors can be a frustrating experience. No frustrations here! The guys that came out were great. Very respectful and professional. Virgillio built and installed some beautiful cabinets. We want to thank Ashton for his input and help with the cabinets. Ruben gave us some great tile ideas and is a master craftsman. His tile work is outstanding. Special thank you to Sergio for everything he did. The key to a smooth remodeling project is communication. They emailed us every day to let us know who was coming and what they were going to do. Nic, the project manager, was always available to discus matters and answer any questions we might have. We were dreading doing a kitchen and bath remodel at the same time, but, they made it as painless as possible. We love the way everything turned out! Highly recommend these fine folks to anyone looking for quality work done by quality people. Thank you!

The work went from the end of December to the end of January. The cost was about $4300, but we supplied a lot of the materials. We didn't get that many competitive quotes so I really can't say about price. It's just a half-bath just for guest use. They had a very large crew. They had a different person for electrical, a different person for drywall, paint and tile, plumbing, they had a good variety of professionals working for them. They cleaned up after themselves. It was not left dirty or anything like that every day they worked.

I cannot speak highly enough about Remodel Specialists! I have done several remodels on other homes and built two homes and they have to be the best contractor I have ever dealt with. Honest, fair, and the only company to give me detailed itemized quote so I could make adjustments to meet my budget needs. The cabinets are all custom made in their shop but the price was inline with the other quotes I received, although from past experience, since the other quotes were not itemized I would have been hit with additional charges so they were likely lower in price in overall. All of their crews we amazing and I felt very comfortable with them and was truly amazed at the quality of work. The existing kitchen was almost doubled in size and the end result is stunning! They offered opinions and advice from what I had in mind and I am glad I followed their lead on several things I was originally firm on. If you want as stress free of a remodel as you an get with an amazing outcome then you have found the right contractor! I look forward to working with them again when we are able to redo the bathrooms. I will try and add pics but eveyone who sees the pics say it does not to it justice to how amazing it is in person.

This company is family owned company. They are friendly and professional. The pros were that they did a wonderful job in completing the repairs. They gave us good advice (Jim) regarding dealing with our insurance company to make sure the repairs were covered. The cons: They were pricey. Not having access to the kitchen. Most of the cost was labor. This may have been due to them having to go through our insurance company. I would love to hire them again but not with out considering the cost first.

I have never felt more blessed to have trusted and hired Mr. Godre do work for me and my family. The Godre family are polite, honest and caring people that truly listen and do what you want and what they say they will do for you. I highly recommend Remodel Specialist for any remodel needs. I am extremely pleased with the quality of work performed. We did a full gut of the master bathroom and a partial remodel of the main bathroom. The final product was a collaborative effort. Remodel Specialists had some great ideas that comes from specializing in bathrooms and kitchens. I received daily emails on who was showing up that day and what they would be working on. Any issues (and with a major job like this, there will be issues) were resolved promptly and without fuss. They obviously want to keep their customers happy. Remodel Specialists have their own crew and do not subcontract out. The crew they have is excellent. Great quality work! I would highly recommend them.

I did comparative shopping and the price was fair. The bathroom was awesome and that help sell the house.

Quit looking at other contractors this is THE ONE! This is an excellent company that strives to fully satisfy. They worked with me and gave the option of performing some of the work (like painting) to give me the dream kitchen I wanted but within my budget. All of their crews were highly professional, clean, and the craftsmanship is unsurpassed. I have done several remodel projects and built a large home and it was always a high stress situation. Think of that and add on that we were planning on getting married AT THE HOUSE with guests coming from overseas a week after completion and I will tell you it was still almost stress-free! From the moment Jim Godre (owner) arrived to start the quote I knew I had the right company. He identified things the other contractors had not and gave me an itemized quote with varied options and prices so I could determine what I wanted. The bid was not the lowest but it was the only one detailed and I knew from experience that the other quotes would end up with "change orders" for items he had identified, I woudl have considered standard, but they did not specifically call out. They were honest and straightforward and did everything to ensure everything was perfect and we were happy. Exceeded our expectations in everyway! You have another devoted customer and I can't wait until I am able to work with you again on the bathroom remodel! The remodel went very well and, most importantly, we were extremely happy with the final product. In fact, it surpassed our expectations. Prior to signing the contract, we disussed our vision with them, and they came up with several significant improvements over what we had suggested rather than just giving us what we asked for. The communication was generally good and we never had to wait long for a response to a question. Even after the job was complete and the final check had cleared, they worked with us to quickly resolve a couple of minor issues. They are a competent and honest company, and I would recommend them without reservation to anyone wanting a bathroom remodel.

I interviewed FOUR remodel companies. Three of the bids were in the same cost range. One was a lower bid but based on their reviews and answers to my questions I didn't consider taking a chance with them. Remodel Specialists {Jim Godre} answered all my questions and concerns and made helpful suggestions. It all went perfectly from start to finish. All the people that work at Remodel Specialists know their jobs. They were professional and wanted me to be satisfied with their work. That alone told me that I hired the "best". It came out "ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL"!! Even the smallest details weren't overlooked.

Excellent work and terrific results. This was our first major remodel project in the house. (Others limited to flooring replacement and reworking of stairs.) The entire process was professional and was completed with a minimum of frustration. It started with meeting with Jim and Lori to go over what we had in mind, then on to the showroom to talk with Sarah and pick out tile and cabinetry. From there we selected plumbing fixtures, tubs etc, and finally the granite. Through each step Sarah helped us with the decisions, offering great advice and helping us work through all we needed to choose. Once that was completed, we started the project. It is never comfortable having "strangers" in your house every day, but it was not long we did not have strangers coming by but friends. Everyone working for the company was professional, personable and ready to answer any question we had. We received daily email updates on the planned activities, which helped us plan our day better. The workmanship is exceptional from the fabulous tile work to the custom cabinetry. Everything exceeded our expectations. One key highlight of the process is Jim provided us with a detailed listing of what was going to happen and the cost. That way if we wanted to paint the room (rather than have the company do it) then we knew up front what the cost difference would be. There were no hidden costs and it was easy to see where our money was going. Also, there were not a lot of "change orders" that can run up the costs once the project starts. The only change orders were ones we specifically asked for, and we discussed them in advance of implementation. No surprises at all, which gave us lots of peace of mind. Project went so well, we are already planning the kitchen remodel with a group we consider family rather than a remodel company.

We absolutely LOVE IT!! The entire crew was wonderful and they worked with us through the design and changes along the way. We can't believe it is the same bathroom and the quality is outstanding.

We were very impressed with the quality of the custom hardwood cabinet that they had built for us. It was way above the quality of the cabinets that our home builder had installed. The company took time to make sure that the stain of the cabinet would match the solid Indian Rosewood dining table that we had gotten years ago. The end product was definitely a piece of art. My wife was the one who had worked with the company on the project and she was extremely satisfied with the communication, professionalism and courtesy of the workers who she had dealt with. They always showed up on time and were able to accommodate last minute requests to change the install schedule due to family emergencies. During the install, they also went above and beyond to help fix some small issues, even though it wasn't part of the contract. All in all, we would strongly recommend this provider and look forward to working with them again when we have remodeling needs!

It wasn't really my project, it was my wife's. She was extremely satisfied and she's hard to please. Their people were very courteous. They protected the areas they went through to get to the bath. They showed up on time every day and they didn't leave a mess. That is just a plus.

My husband and I spoke with and got estimates from quite a few contractors before deciding to go with Remodel Specialists to remodel our master bath. I am thrilled with the work Remodel Specialists performed. We have an entirely new bathroom and it's just beautiful. We were involved from the beginning with choosing our materials and getting guidance from them on the design. We really appreciated that they took us step by step through the whole process. We essentially have an entirely new bathroom! We replaced the floor tile, installed a new shower and tub, added granite, installed new glass block for the window, replaced lighting, new paint and trim, new cabinetry and mirror frames. The people at Remodel Specialists really make it easy for their customers during the remodel. We were given almost daily updates of the work that was being performed and who was doing it. If at any time I had questions they were quick to respond and/or come to my home to address anything. Each contractor was friendly, professional and respectful of our home. I would definitely recommend them to family/friends. We felt 100% comfortable leaving them there to do their work when we weren't at home. The quality of work surpassed our expectations. We have used Remodel Specialist for multiple projects and I'm a little sad that this may be our last one as I think we've done everything we can to this old house. They built an entertainment center for our large screen TV with lots of shelving, drawers and a cabinet to hide away the DVR, disc player and other electronics. The center was designed to complement the large shelving unit they built for us a year ago and they both look terrific. I highly recommend this organization for their craftsmanship, integrity and it's just plain fun to work with them.

Like the last three bathrooms they remodeled, it went exactly as planned. They have never disappointed us, and the new room is now updated and perfect. Anyone considering a kitchen or bath remodel must seriously consider this company to do the work. Their craftsmen are top notch in their respective fields, they are polite and clean up the work site each day. I trust them so much I left them in the house alone a couple of times while I ran errands. Their coordinators, Trevor and Sarah, let you know daily who is coming and what is to be accomplished. As I recall, this project was our fifth with Remodel Specialists. They did another excellent job. All of the staff were very good as has been our experience for some time now. Juan, Mario, Brandon, and Jerry all did a very good job. Juan did an exceptionally good job with the tile. Nick was a good project manager, even better than previous experiences.
