Description of Work: Installed complete system in1700 sq ft house. completed most of the work on the first day and came back to finish up and adjust. Very professional approach. I was told he could fix the existing unit but the down side was that it was old and very inefficient. went with a new system and electric bills are much lower.....will definately use this contractor again

+ -1 moreDuring a previous visit, Joe, the owner, had recommended that we have these things done. Joe and his team are great to work with. They show up on time and always professional. We recently remodeled our entire house. After reviewing all the different bids, I was appalled at how the truth can be twisted and up-charged! We felt very comfortable with Joe?s recommendations. He really took the time to educate us and explain the issues.

+ -1 moreVery well, since they were honest by not trying to do an expensive operation when none was indicated. This kind of professionalism is often hard to find. Although they did no major work for me, what they did was effective and will cause me to use them in the future.
Description of Work: I called Red Star for second opinion after being told by another company that I needed to replace the evaporator coil on our A/C system. They came out and did a complete inspection. Found float switch not properly connected and made the adjustment but said that the coil was OK. Did not charge me! I will remember this next time I have an AC/Heating problem and will call on them.

Description of Work: Joe Diaz and his brother came to my residence to give a second opinion about whether my evaporator coil was leaking and needed replacement. They checked my entire A/C system and determined that IF a leak existed it must be very slight and at this time no service was indicated for the coil. Prior to their coming, Joe offered a free inspection over the phone and was true to his word. He was knowledgeable and articulate and seemed trustworthy. I would use his services agaiin.

+ -1 moreOld condenser blew 5pm on Friday afternoon. Representative from another company confirmed both condenser and evaporator required replacement, but gave high quote and couldn't begin until later the next week. After an unbearable night in the Houston humidity, we called several companies Saturday morning. Joe, at Red Star, was very knowledgeable and responsive, even at 6:30 Saturday morning, and wasn't pushy at all. Not only was his quote was one of the cheaper ones, the system he was offering was a good quality, American Standard system. He checked inventory at 8:00 and confirmed that he was able to do it that day. We went ahead with Red Star, and they were here by 10:00. Everyone was clean and easy to get along with, and everything was explained as they were doing it. They finished by 1:00, bringing relief just as the hot afternoon hit. The whole ordeal happened in less than 8 hours. Great price, service, and punctuality, especially for work done on a weekend.
