Description of Work: We were not able to get a scheduled visit because we waited until the last hour and they are a great company so they were booked BUT they responded to my request so fast!

Description of Work: We made an offer on a 2003 stucco townhouse, but wanted a home inspection done preferably by someone with a lot of experience with stucco finishes. Preferred Home Inspection stood out in Angie's List and so after talking to Fernando Martinez, watching their video on a minimally-invasive procedure of inspecting the integrity of the stucco finish, we decided to hire their services. The inspection of Fernando, Wendy and Elisa proceeded just like in the video. They found issues that the seller had to address before we bought the property. This family did a great job and we would recommend them especially to anyone needing a stucco inspection!

Description of Work: Pre-drywall inspection and moisture/crack risk mitigation for stucco installation.

Description of Work: They were asked to do both home inspection and invasive stucco test, but when they found the wood inside the balcony was saturated and let me know that I would have to tear it down and rebuilt the whole thing during the stucco test, I decided not to buy the house and terminated the inspections. I am very thankful for their honest and professional opinions, which save me from buying a money pit.

Description of Work: Fernando and his licensed team which consists of his wife and daughter performed a comprehensive inspection on a home we were in the process of purchasing. We were transitioning from Georgia and know no one locally so Angie's List is our source. We've always believed in home inspections but learned the hard way 7 years ago how important it is to find a quality inspector. Ours in GA was not and when we recently sold, we had to spend $3200 in repairs that should have been repaired by the seller except our inspector missed them. So we were hyper vigilant this time. I knew I had the right company during my first phone conversation and it was reinforced on the day of inspection. They go over EVERYTHING with a detail we'd never seen. They checked in with us constantly and urged my husband to shadow them. PHI found exterior walls that hadn't been installed properly, grade issues in the yard, etc. we also purchased the mold inspection and significant mold came back on the lab results. Damages exceeded $20k and the seller wouldn't make the repairs so we walked away. Having been burned by an inept inspector, they saved us from an even bigger mistake! I cannot recommend them enough and when we finally find the next home, my first call will be to Fernando. Quality costs a little more with any purchase but this service is worth every penny spent. When they're done you will be prepared to purchase with confidence, negotiate repairs concisely, or walk away relieved! Thank you so much PHI and you'll hear from us again!

Description of Work: Very professional. They found things even the builder wasn't aware of, and gave advice on several issues I would not have known about. Highly recommend.

Description of Work: Their price was one of the lowest. For the same house, there are other vender quoting for almost double the price! The service is also good. What i would recommend is to take the inspection with them. I reminded my inspector one punchlist item which turns out to be the Biggest problem found during inspection.

Description of Work: Preferred Inspections showed up on time and began telling us how they would perform the inspection. They listened and asked good questions in order to fully understand our need, then they went right to work doing the inspection!

Description of Work: A fully compressive home inspection. All parts of the home were checked including, but not limited to structural, internal and external, A/C, electrical, all appliances, moisture, air circulation, appliances, etc. There was not a stone left unturned during this inspection. Fernando took his time and inspected each and every area very carefully.

Description of Work: I HAVE HAD MY HOME CHECKED TWICE BY THESE INSPECTORS. THE FIRST TIME PRIOR TO FINAL CLOSING ON THE HOUSE AND NOW WHEN I HAD A LEAK, TO COMPARE THEIR INSPECTION WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY.
