Pegasus Irrigation

It is pretty difficult to communicate with someone who doesn't speak english. Still, he seemed to know what he was doing and it was clear he was doing a good job. When it came time to communicate though, we couldn't. That is silly. Also, he seemed to think I would know where the in-ground switches were. I knew the general area, but not entirely. It took us a long time to work through that as, well, we had to communicate. They did a great job in the end. I am very pleased and would use them again. They need to send at least one person who is bilingual.

The first visit was brief. Without looking, the repair person said it was a pressure issue and to call the water company. (The charge was approx $100) The water company came out to test the pressure and the pressure was fine. Pegasus returned to fix the system. It was quite extensive. In the process, he broke our electric system timer and did not tell me. I contacted the company several times and they offered to replace it for $150! I bought one at Lowes for $75 and replaced it myself in about 30 minutes. I would not ever use them again. Very dishonest to break equipment and not inform the client AND then offer to fix it for an additional charge.

We always have great service from Pegasus. We call them whenever we have a problem. Their service is prompt and thorough. Price seems a little high, but maybe that's just the going rate.

This company is also known as Woodlands Landscaping, which has an A rating on Angie's List. Both companies share the same website. i wish I could rate this company on quality of work. Yet, when I called them & another irrigation company for an estimate, on the same day, I did not receive a call back for 6 days! I had also sent an email requesting an estimate; I never received a reply from the company. Luckily, I did get a callback from the other company I had called the same day. They called me back within minutes & were able to start installing my my sprinkler within a few weeks. The system that was installed, at our residence, covered my front & backyard for a total of approximately 25,000 square feet of property.

They charge a flat fee for the service call that includes 1 hour of work. Showed up on time and worked on the leak for some time (it was a good 1.5 feet deep and right next to a large tree). But got the work done, filled the hole, no more leak. Couldn't do the remaining work because ran out of time, so we scheduled a follow up appointment (I would much rather that than a rushed, incomplete or poorly-done job any day).

Extremely positive experience. The owner of the company is very friendly. The work was performed when they said it would be and I consider the price to be very reasonable. The crew worked extremely hard, and they were very careful to not impact my flowers and bushes. Other than the obvious lines in the lawn after installation, you would never know that they were there.
