We liked the walls Mike did for neighbors. After estimate he was always late in communicating design changes, dates, etc. (bad sign) so decided to drop him but he promised to reduce price & provide better service, so I agreed. Work started & ended about when agreed after a rain delay. Rock walls & small patio look very good although walls were built lower than agreed & one bed they didn't level the first course; we decided these weren't bad enough to re-work. One wall was WAY too short, they came and fixed this. I recommend him for the unique stonework that we couldn't find anywhere else but GET ALL SPECS IN WRITING (wall heights, leveling,etc), not recommended for sprinklers, he had no advice and offered a very simple, flawed plan (e.g., flowers & grass watered together) which I changed. Other estimates I had (sprinkler vendors) had better design & advice, same price. Don't expect good communication & updates from him, the farther along the project, the less he communicated.

Mike was very attentive and accomodating prior to receiving my deposit of $5700 (half down, balance on completion). Once he got my check, he cashed it the next day & has yet to complete the work. Does not return calls & will not commit to start date. I have cancelled the agreement & have yet to see the return of my depostit or the start of work.
