Milton Frank Plumbing & Cooling

I noticed a leak under my kitchen sink a few days ago and called Milton Frank due to the shining reviews found on Angies List. When I booked the appointment, I was told I could not get same day, unless I wanted to pay the "emergency service fee". I only had a leak when the water was running- so I agreed to a next day appointment. The woman who put me on the schedule was courteous and professional. She let me know there would be a $49 service call fee- which I accepted. My husband was at home when Carlos arrived. It took Carlos approximately 5 minutes to diagnose the problem- The hose to the veggie sprayer had a hole in it. Carlos told my husband "this is not plumbing, it is the manufacturer. Call the manufacturer." It then took about 15 minutes to write up the ticket. Along with my agreed to $49 service fee, I was charged a "diagnostic fee" of $80- and then left with a leaky faucet hose. We are a household of professionals and I would never expect to receive a service for free... I do, however, take issue with the blatant misrepresentation of fees and find this practice very deceptive. When I bring my car into the shop with a problem, I am told that they will find the problem and I will be charged a diagnostic fee of $.__, if I chose to have the repair done there, the diagnostic fee will be waived. If I take it elsewhere, I will have to pay stated diagnostic fee. This is fairly simple to explain and would probably take an additional 30 seconds to state when booking an appointment through Milton Frank. Given the issue I wanted addressed and the previous reviews, I would have still made the appointment......Getting hit with a bogus $80 fee for a 5 minute call does not leave me with warm, fuzzy feelings about the company or the service provided.

Everything was great. I am quite pleased with the work and prompt service. They came out the same day I called so that I would not have to wait until Monday for the work to be done even though I called Friday morning. Could not have asked for more.

Very good job. Punctual and Professional. A little over-priced perhaps, but I'd rather pay for a good job than save a little and have a bad job.

It went well. Our tech was Carlos. He was so professional and pleasant. He told me exactly what we needed to do and gave me a price up front. He ended up narrowing it down to 2 sources where the leak could come from. Both which are simple fixes. He repaired a leak in our Master shower. Our hardware is Grohe which many plumbers are not familiar with. He easily replaced a cartridge. We had a plumber come out before from a very reputable company who never worked on Grohe and no one there (at the company) was familiar with Grohe. We will be calling him back to repair an upstairs shower.

The leak was in the master bedroom closet. He was very very professional. I will use them in the future I actually purchased the service contract with them

Outside of estimating the cost of replacing two faucets. Plumber could not give us a price to replace the shower and bath tub. Told us Milton would call us and send someone else out to do the estimate. Milton never called us back. Price to replace two faucets we thought was to high.

They provided us with same day service and we called around 1. They came out right away, diagnosed the water heater, and repaired it within 30 minutes. This is an awesome company. We'll definitely use them in the future. Thanks Milton Frank Plumbing!

Price came back as twice that of other quotes... I've used them in the past and work quality and price were superb. Even with their member discount the quote came to be quite expensive compared to market standards.

The remodel of our master bath shower was the result of a water leak that damaged the sheetrock wall and carpet in the adjacent closet. We chose Milton Frank Inspired Spaces to do the remodel based on our years of experience using their plumbing services. Our Project Manager, Nathalia, came out the day after we called and gave us a detailed quote and proposed schedule. She was very thorough and explained all the work that needed to be done and the decision choices we had. We met with her the following day at the Showroom and, with her help, made the material and color choices. Work began the following week and proceeded pretty much on schedule. Nathalia was at our house almost every day monitoring progress and coordinating work of the subcontractors. Communication was excellent and the project went smoothly. The subcontractors were all very professional and did quality work. We were impressed with the care that was taken to contain the dust and dirt that was created as the shower was being demolished and rebuilt. The new shower turned out excellent and enhances the appearance of our Master Bath. we are very pleased with the result. Milton Frank Inspired Spaces was an excellent company to work with. Communication was excellent and the quality of their work was outstanding. This project was completed over ten months ago and there have no issues at all. The cost came in as expected with no hidden fees or surprises. We will definitely use Milton Frank Inspired Spaces for any future remodeling and we recommend them to anyone seeking quality work at a fair price.

Excellent job. After finding no hot water coming from one heater, I checked and found both of them were 12+ years old. Decided to replace both. The customer service rep was professional and helpful. The technician (Matthew) arrived on time, was knowledgeable, worked hard, and was careful to protect the house. This was an attic installation over a second story, so there was a lot of stair climbing involved. The assistant arrived to help Matthew and was equally good. Matthew advised me to replace my 40 gallon tanks with 50 gallon tanks, which were almost the same price, and more energy efficient than the old ones. I'll use them for all my plumbing needs.

Overall, I had a very good experience with Milton Frank Plumbing and I will use them again in the future. The plumber and his crew were friendly, clean and punctual, plus they did an overall excellent job of removing my old tank water heater and installing a new tankless one. After the install was completed, the head plumber walked me through how to care for and change the filter on this unit when necessary every year. I was able to video this teaching session an I am grateful this man let me do this. While I was very happy with the entire install, there is one thing I would recommend from him in the future: to do a more thorough cleanup when completed. While the plumber put down tarp on my floor below the ceiling ladder and vacuumed afterward, when I went into the attic after they had left, it was a different story. I would have appreciated a sweeping of the attic flooring where they worked (there was still a lot of insulation on it), and I discovered that the plumber had buried some of his scraps (large pipe fragments, straps and tape under the insulation, to the left of his install. Plus he left three pieces of 2X4 in the attic. Some homeowners don't go up into the attic to inspect after plumbers leave, but I did and found their mess. I guess that's what some plumbers do, but why would they do such a good job of installing and not be careful with their cleanup, for a TOTAL quality install?

They arrived home to install a water filter and a water softener provided by me, they looked profesional. Me and them estimate 2 - 3 hours of work, they handed me the quote which they mentioned they use a price book, in my opinion the cost of the instalation was way high, ~ 2000 USD + service call of 48.5 USD. I just thanks to them paid the service call and let them go.

Week before job was to start we still had no estimate for the shower installation so the re-piping was delayed. It took 3 attempts before we got an outrageous estimate of $24,000 for remodeling 1 bathroom and replacing a tub with a walk-in shower to ADA standards in the second bathroom. We requested to reschedule re-piping and to work with a tiling company on the bathroom remodeling. After 2 weeks of no response, we contacted Milton Frank and was told the plumber no longer works there, they did not refer the project to a different plumber or display any concern about us as a long-term customer.. We used Milton Frank for 5 years only to conclude that the excellent service we received in the past was because of the plumber, not the company. Our plumbing needs were repeatedly handled by the same plumber and received excellent service every time. We have a whole house water filtration system under warranty with Milton Frank so we have no choice but to deal with them in this matter. If we ever need warranty work, I only hope the plumber is more dedicated than the company itself. We hired a different plumber we found on Angies List that handled the entire project for $18,000, saving us the $24,000 that Milton Frank wanted just for the remodeling the 2 bathrooms.

Plumber arrived and went to clean drain line. I was in a nearby room while the work was being done. After a short while i heard the water run and turn off. This happened 5 or 6 times, prompting me to check on the progress. I found the he had water running from under the wall and was turning the water on and off apparently "to find the source of the leak". I demanded that he stop everything and call his supervisor. When the supervisor arrived, the ran a camera down the pipe and found a break. After cutting two different holes in the wall they found the source, removed a joint and replaced the section. The supervisor then showed me the removed section that had a 1 inch hole in it and told me the plumbing had been incorrectly glued and that the snake had pushed the joint loose. That they were not to blame it was the builders fault. I didn't believe him since the joint that he had cut out was still intact except for the hole that had be knocked in the pipe by his snake. There was water running into the kitchen, and to adjcent rooms as well as a hallway. The vaccumed up the water and left. Telling me they weren't to blame and that they weren't going to do anything abou the damage. I called my insurance company, and a water remediation company. It took 3 days to dry out the damage and the cost of repairs to the wood floor, dry walll, and carpet was over $8,000. I had used Milton Frank several times before with no problems, but i found out that when there is a problem the company will do nothing to resolve the damage, even when it was their plumbers stupidity that caused significant damage because he kept running water even when he knew there was a problem.

We had 3-4 other plumbers out and they could not fix our kitchen faucet, they are the only ones that were able to fix it.

deWe've used MF for the past 4 years for plumbing issues and have never been disappointed including the total re-pipe of our house 2 years ago. We called first thing in the morning and was scheduled for an hour later. Carlos arrived in the window scheduled and, as usual, could tell he knew what he was doing with the faucet. We have a Delta Touch 2O faucet which was not working when touching the faucet or manually. After spending 45 minutes eliminating the different possibilities of what could be wrong he isolated and fixed the problem. What's impressive is he took the time to explain everything he did and how the technology works so we could fix it in the future. He was also extremely attentive to putting back everything under the sink that he had taken out and cleaning up after himself. While not up selling, he mentioned the value plan that was available from MF and provided me a price with and without. The price with the plan was less expensive than without so we went ahead and purchased. Included with the purchase of the value plan is a water heater inspection for no charge. Wouldn't you know our water heater was leaking (yes I saw the water on top and bottom) so we went ahead and had a new water heater put in. I am writing the review as Carlos is hauling the old heater out with the gentleman who delivered the new one. All of this is within a 2 hour period. I am observing the attention of detail Carlos is paying attention to cleaning up the water on the floor from the old water heater as I type. The price that we spent is in the same price range as other providor's deals on the site and was a commercial grade 50 gallon water heater. We have always had great service, professionalism and dependability with MF and while the price is not always the least expensive we've chalked it up to "you get what you pay for". We feel like the little extra is worth the money. We will definitely use MF in the future!

This review was completed a little over a month after services rendered, because I wanted to make sure I provided an accurate review. First, a little history. We've had plumbing issues since we moved in 7 years ago (House built in 79, 2 story 2500-3000 sq ft). I have called 4 other plumbing companies over the years, for minor items, and all of them have been really bad experiences, with 2 of them having me go back and fixing what I paid them to. This was the main reason I hadn't done a re-pipe before now, and tried to do most the work myself, as I had such horrible experiences with the previous plumbers. With that said, Milton Franks was a 180 degree flip. They were extremely professional, courteous, and helpful. Carlos was the lead, who provided the quote, and headed up everything as well as provided the actual labor. I had several quotes, and although Milton was a bit higher, I ended up going with them because Carlos just gave me a better impression. He was honest, and didn't try to upsell everything. All the extras performed, that were mentioned above, where by my request, after seeing how professional they were the first day of work. Carlos answered all my questions, told me what to expect, and gave his honest, educated, opinions about some hardware I was looking at, convincing me to go with the lower cost options. Other decisions where that they included the Drywall and texturing (There was quite a bit). All the others I got quotes from did not include this. Milton also didn't require us to move out, or leave us without water any full day during the 7 day process. Some of the others either recommended moving out, or stated that we would be without water for several days. Carlos guaranteed me he would not leave us without a working shower and toilet up front. Milton Franks also offer financing and 1 year no interest options whereas several of the other recommended plumbers only took cash/check, or didn't have in house financing. During the process Carlos always had 1 assistant. Other than the 1st day the assistant, was a gentlemen named Jack, who was an extremely hard worker. Carlos always made sure to keep me updated on the progress, what to expect as they went along, and scheduling (there was one day he had a company meeting, and he made sure to let me know he was going to be 30 minutes later than usual the morning of the day before). The very first thing they did was put plastic down everywhere they were going to go in the house, and always made sure to stop and put covers on there shoes if they ever strayed from the plastic. They made sure I was ok with everywhere they were planning to cut, and tried to minimize any cuts on surfaces that would require more than painting (wall paper areas). They even completely rerouted one of my outdoor lines so he wouldn't damage my wood paneling, which is near impossible to fix. The entire process went extremely well, and my wife and I were extremely comfortable with them. Normally I tend to follow service people around, I guess you could say I'm a little weary on trust from previous experience. With that said, I quit 'checking up' on Carlos and Jack, midway through the second day. Carlos's work ethic is just pristine, and he takes the time to make sure things are done right (no shortcuts) and he always has the customer in mind. It is rare in this day and age to find such good customer service, and ownership in one's workmanship. Needless to say, Everything was completed wonderfully, and Milton Franks (and Carlos) has a customer for life (unless something drastically changes which I don't foresee). The only thing that I would improve on is the Outside group which did the Drywall. They did a great job on the drywall itself but might have done a little better job on cleanup. It wasn't bad by any means, and a little dust (It's DRYWALL) is to be expected, but after the exceptional work that Carlos had done, I guess My expectations where a little higher, and I felt some nit picky stuff could have been done a little better. (some mud splatter on a wall or two which comes off with a wet cloth for example). They ran a little longer than Carlos expected, and he made sure to come back out the next day when they were wrapping up to check to make sure everything was completed to his expectations. When he arrived, they still weren't finished, and he offered to come back later in the evening to check again, but I convinced him it wasn't necessary, and I appreciated him coming back in the first place after all the plumbing was already finished. This was probably the best "Service" experience I've ever had, and although they were a little more expensive than some of the competition, they provided excellent, Friendly, professional service, and I was left feeling comfortable that all the work will be great for years to come (no suprises like I expect from many other service providers I had in the past). I give Carlos and Milton Franks 3 Thumbs Up!

It was fine, and they did a really nice job.

MF only warrants their work for 30 days so they charged me twice for the same repair. The second fee was over 16% higher than what I paid in 2013. I've used MF several other times over several years and pd the $70/yr fee to be one of their MVP customers. What this tells me is that MF is not confident in their work. It is also interesting that the second repair person seemed to question the type of copper pipe fitting material used by the first MF repair person? To only warrant plumbing repairs for 30 days is ridiculous. This is sad because now I need to find a new plumber.

Diagnosed the problem and recommended several options for us. We chose the one which best suited our needs and scheduled the work. It was performed with utmost professionalism and punctuality. The new water heaters work great and we're very happy with the result.

This company is very professional. They are always on time and are responsive even after the job is done. There's no pulling teeth to get them to come back to touch up either. One of the best residential contractors I've ever dealt with.

I called them and scheduled for 1-4pm. They came closer to 5pm but they did let me know that they were running late. Once they got to our home, they checked and fixed the seal leak. We ended up signing for their yearly customer service plan. James was the name of the plumber and I must say, he was very professional and explained to me what needs to get done and any future issues to avoid.

Went great this is the second time we have used Milton Frank and are very pleased with their service and professionalism. Carlos was excellent and explained all costs prior to commencing on the work we requested. It was completed in good time. We will continue to use Milton Frank for our plumbing issues and next year will consider them for a bathroom remodel.

Our plumber was Stephen and I was very pleased with his work. He was pleasant, professional and answered all of my questions and did a good job. I have used Milton Frank Plumbing in the past and have always had excellent service.
