Our overall experience was very good. My A/C went out on 9/18 late in the day (~4PM). I called Majestic after reading the Angie's reviews and they were the only ones able to come out in under 24 hours and set an appointment for after lunch. David Watkins was our service specialist and he was friendly, quick and very professional. The dispatcher called and asked if the tech could come early due to some issues with power at the earlier call. He showed up quickly and began checking the systems.

I checked 4 or 5 contractors before selecting a two stage Trane system from Majestic. My criteria included (1) BBB A+, (2) Good ranking on Angies' list, (3) a system recommended by Consumer Reports, (4) local company with long history and 10+ employees, and (5) reasonable price but not necessary the lowest bid. The price from Majestic was very reasonable compared to another company which provided a similar system at a higher price. Another reason I selected Majestic was that it is a local company. Later I learned from Chris Hine, who is the business manager, that the company is also family owned. I have no complains about their service and will use them again when it's time to change the other A/C.

I liked that they were price competitive. Also, it wasn't like you weren't bugging them when you asked questions. They said they would get back to you, which they always did. They were always honest in selling you in the highest quality products. Chris, the supervisor, was on the job. We had a crew that came out together for years. The supervisor was there the whole time. I can't say enough about them. They were also very prompt. We weren't waiting for them.

05/08/2012: This was a very disappointing experience and not one that we expected. After we had water coming through the ceiling and dealing with an A/C company appointed by our warranty company we turned to Majestic A/C for help. We had used Majestic's in the past and were always very satisfied with the services performed.I called the office on Tuesday. The office representative was very friendly and professional and told me that she could send somebody the same day which we highly appreciated. So far so good. Upon arrival the technician took a look and wasn't sure what to do. He had to call his supervisor first for instructions on how to proceed. We had to step in and tell the technician step by step what he had to do. He blew out the pipes and changed parts of the pipe but did not put them together securely. Finally the technician told us that he was done as the main pipe was clogged and a plumber needed to perform the rest (which is fine and we had done the next day). Before we paid the invoice we checked our A/C again and found that he hadn't bothered to put the cover back on.We did not get the impression that the technician knew what he was supposed to do and are going to call another company to ensure the work that was done correctly. 05/14/2012 Update: Based on our initial Angie's list review Majestic's Sales and Marketing Manager gave us a call to learn more about our experience and to ask for the opportunity to make it right. We agreed and they send another technician (who had been at our house before) to ensure everything was installed correctly the next day. Also, he removed the old pipes that were left in the attic. The manager stopped by personally to check in and to talk to us. Majestic's also refunded us our check. Great Customer Service!

Overall it went great. They found the problem and explained to me how they could fix it and what it would cost. They did the work then and cleaned up after themselves. The next day Mr. Pine called me and asked if everything was done to my satisfaction. It was and I thanked him for getting someone out there quickly and taking care of the problem.

I called them to get a technician out to inspect our ACs and advise us on a couple of items (pipe strapping) that our home inspector had called out in his report. David came out the next day and did a great job. He not only advised which repairs are not necessary but also which ones can be done really easy by a plumber. Awesome experience and a big "Recommend!".

My total experience from start to finish couldn't have been better. Chis, the owner, advised me and supervised the job from start to finish. I was delighted that my project wasn't just turned over to a crew chief as I have had with past jobs. I knew what to expect and the costs were all up front and clearly identified. They started work right away and came and stayed all day every day until the job was completely done. The installers were neat and efficient, and were very respectful of my home and landscaping. They even wore booties on their shoes to protect my hardwood floors. When it was decided the kitchen area would not get the air flow needed, they got together and problem solved a great solution. The owner contacted me after I had it for a week or two to see if I had any questions, issues or problems. Although I had none, it was great to see continuing customer service after the sale. No snags, delays, bad scenes, or surprise charges. Love these guys.

Majestic personnel were always careful while working in our home to not damage anything. They arrived when expected and worked in a timely manner. They were extremely responsive to our questions and came out several times to follow-up and make sure that we were happy with the way our system was operating. Chris was always happy to answer any questions. David made sure that everything was set properly and in good working order!

They far exceeded our expectations. Everything promised was delivered, and more. I cannot tell you how impressed my wife and I were at how professional and attentive everyone was to our questions. I would highly recommend them if you need any heating or ac work and have told everyone about them.

Went well - house is 8+years old and things like this are starting to happen. Although some are because of incorrect drain installation. Had to wait a couple of days for the part, becauue of weekend.

I received 12 quotes from 10 contractors for just the coil -- ranging from $1500 to $2900. Many contractors pushed whole AC systems ($5K-$7K), and some pushed whole HVAC including furnace, as a "better" solution ($5K to $12K). Since system is barely 10 yrs ago, the furnace was definitely excessive. With proper maintenance good systems are reliable for 15 -20 yrs. MAJESTIC AC quote: 1) salesman (Chris) arrived promptly and was very professional. 2) quote to replace coil was provided within 24 hr (most other salesman provided it on the spot). Chris did not push whole AC system. Kudos to them for that-- meeting the customer's need. 3) quote was for a Trane 4T all aluminum Box coil (Trane is a good reliable brand), plenum, pan and related parts. Box coil is less expensive (and also less efficient and harder to clean) than slab coil 4) quote did NOT include transition (required for efficiency) -- omitted by other contractors as well. This corner is easily and frequently cut. (HVAC Contractor for builder of this home definitely cut this corner.) Most other quotes included this up front. 5) quote did NOT include access panel/door to coil (for inspection and/or cleaning) -- a nice to have. Some quotes included this. 6) wty -- as good as or better than most. Quote came in middle 1/3 of all quotes, which i consider to be the "sweet spot" -- not too high to gouge; not too low to cut corners. BUT -- 1) there was no discount per se for Angie's list. (I mentioned to Chris that I had printed a 15% coupon from Angie's web page.) If quote was already discounted then their pricing would be in the top 1/3, in the "gouging" range.) 2) they do not take credit cards. (That would get me at least a 1% rebate from the card.) Would have considered them more seriously if 1) they would have included the transition -- without my asking for it. 2) they had a better price. (or reduced price by 15% as per Angie's List coupon) BTW-- when talking with the salesmen, i played "dumb" -- even tho i am more knowledgeable than most. (My uncle installs AC's in Ohio and I used to work summers with him while in school, so I was able to pick up a few things from him. He also provided a quick refresher course for me on the phone one night regarding all the new changes since those summers.) This is the downside of Angie's list. A nice smile and "booties" will get a contractor an A rating, even if he has cut corners and done a poor job. Most home owners don't know what to look for, how to evaluate an HVAC job.

I had no problem with them. They did everything we asked them to do. Majestic did well. They honored their contract. They put booties on their feet. They are very clean and prompt. The office is nice. I have no complaints. I would use them again. They explain everything. We have been very happy with them.
