We spent a good amount of time researching and reviewing flooring and visiting different providers in the area. We chose Lone Star based on responsiveness and overall cost of the install. We found they provided the best cost for the exceptional product we desired in our home and offered an upgraded spill guard pad with the entire purchase (a part of the volume we bought). John was helpful and provided all the answers we desired from the sales side of the transaction. The entire project was completed in a day, The installer (Arte I believe) was punctual, polite and very skilled with his work, the seams are well done and if you didn't know where they were you wouldn't think there were any. I encountered an oddity in the floor after the install (a few weeks later) that I thought might have been related to the seam (as it was on that point). John sent Arte back out right away and the issue was found to just be a spot that wasn't level below the seam. Once again punctual and helpful after the installation was completed.
Description of Work: Installed new smartstrand silk serenity carpet throughout entire home (approx. 1500sq. ft.) in a single day. Removed and hauled away old flooring.

Terrible, as the wood flooring was being delivered my wife immediately recognized that is was not same as sample she had on hand and agreed to with Mr. John Tatom the Woodland Store manager. My wife immediately went over to their location to protest and Mr. Tatom agreed to refund deposit and come collect wood flooring from our home. Later that day one of the owners of LONE STAR FLOORING either Mr. Naser or Mr. Mukhaimer call my wife and schedule an appointment to visit our home the next day and resolve issue, but upon arriving at home he refused to acknowledge the obvious inferior quality of wood flooring when compared to sample my wife demonstrated and he refuses to give us a refund or exchange wood flooring to match sample. So now we have wood flooring we paid for but did not order and will have to find another contractor to install it too. Classic case of bait and switch SO BEWARE OF LONESTAR FLOORING..... As they will literary FLOOR you if you contract them.
Description of Work: They provide a quote based on sample of flooring my wife desired and provided and a contract with value of 6000.00 usd for 600 sq.ft of wood flooring signed and deposit of $ 3000.00 paid.

Response from Lone Star Floors
Unfortunately the customer that has complained left out many details. First, she bought a PREMIUM SHAW WOOD BASED ON THE SAMPLE, she took home. The problem was the sample had a 4 3/4" width and the actual Wood came in a 5", but was the exact same style and color. (Shaw Industries has changed the width of the wood with out changing the store sample). She came to the store, and met with owner and the store manager, he offered her a full refund, but she insisted that she wanted the same wood like the sample, we told her it is the same wood, it has Shaw label on it style name and color number that mach the sample, but Shaw changed the width, and kept insisting on getting the same wood that look like the sample board. She left the store and told me her husband will call from overseas to solve the mater. Shaw floor is the largest manufacturer of flooring in the world and does not need to trick the public with an inferior product. We still will be more than happy to refund her money providing she returns the wood in the same way we delivered it. It is unfortunate that someone working on the other side of the world can slander a small business with a stellar reputation (look at the other hundreds of reviews online) based on the word only of someone who obviously had no idea of how to communicate other than putting unreal demands on someone just trying to resolve an irresolvable situation. Full refund will be made upon receiving the wood back in the same way it was delivered. It was a very good experience.
Description of Work: I stopped by Lone Star Floors because they were convient to view carpet for one bedroom. The sales team was very friendly and knowledeable and I found the exact carpet and color immediatly, they wrote up the sales and I was in and out within the hour. The installer called prior to coming out to make sure it was all good and then came promptly, went to work and did a very good installation of both tack strip and the carpet. Later I received a phone call to make sure all went well, confirming that they were interested my happiness.

This was by far the best experience I have EVER had with contractors in my home and also the best experience I have ever had with a salesperson. John is one of the most pleasant, low pressure, yet effective salespeople I have ever encountered. He was patient with all of my questions, and even spoke with my dad on the phone (I'm a single working mom with a protective dad) to answer his questions. I love the hardwood he suggested would go well in my home and I love the way it looks in my home. The contractors that installed it were extremely pleasant, professional, hard-working, trustworthy, and were perfectionists with the installation. Don't use anyone else! They are beyond AWESOME!!!!! :)))) I am SO happy with my floors!!!!! Thank you John & Lone Star Floors!!!!!
Description of Work: Removal of carpet and carpet pad in four rooms. Installed floating engineered hardwood floors in four rooms.
