The granite work went fine. However, he wanted to buy my home and instead made up a contract to temporarilly lease the home and moved his uncle and family in. I made sure the contract stated that if there were any damage to my property it would be his financial responsibility. While promising to buy my home with endless excuses every month, I myself had to drive to his store to collect the rent check. It was an absolute nightmare with these people and with me being pregnant with my first child to boot. I gave Tim several chances and he proved to be completely dishonest with no empathy as this all got drawn out for a year! His word was that if he didn't buy the home I would be able to cash the 1000$ earnest check he gave me while signing the lease agreement. He never bought the house from me and canceled the earnest money check when I tried to cash it leaving me with a 17$ fee to pay the bank for him canceling. It took me forever to finally get his family out of my house because they kept giving me sob stories that they had no where else to live. A bit of advice for this company. Your only as good as your word, and you have with out a shadow of a doubt proven unworthy of any sense of honorability. I highly recommend avoiding this company.
Description of Work: They installed granite. He wanted to buy my home but talked me into renting to his uncle and family in the mean time.

3 week job became 16 week nightmare. Brought in independent inspector when shower nearing completion and that resulted in 2 do-overs. Their supervisor allegedly ran off with 1:2 the up front money. Tiles uneven and redone and redone. Awful mess. Constant parade of low skilled low bidders. Owners sound good but just scammers.

I would not recommend using LM Tile. They left a great first impression. But could not deliver quality workmanship. I had a shower and tile floor installed. The shower grout cracked days after the installation and the floor was considered complete with chipped tile. Even after a second attempt to re-do the floor it was installed with chipped tile. They wanted to send the same installer back to do the repairs. I declined and just asked for a refund. It would have been an honorable thing to do for a dissasified customer. I have yet to hear from them and I am stuck with the floor that has less been desirable.
Description of Work: Installed tile in my shower and floor.

Description of Work: I asked several times for a quote. They never returned my call nor did they go out to the property to do the quote. Her price changed even though it was in writing on their sign in customer book.

L&M has a large selection of tile at really good prices. That is the only thing good I can say. We had them install about 1000 sq foot of travertine in the versailles pattern and it is the worst experience I have ever had with any jobs around the house. The crew leader came out on a Wednesday and worked for 1 hour and then left because he didn't have the right tools. He showed up again on Thursday and was supposed to have 2 more guys with him but they never showed. He removed the baseboards without scoring the edge and pealed up paint and some of the texture. When we pointed it out to him, he suggested we replace the base boards with taller ones. He left late morning to get the tile and when he returned, he stood around trying to figure out the pattern. Now 2 days have passed and no tile has been laid. I cut 2 full size patterns out of plastic Thursday night since the guy looked totally confused and never got the pattern right when he was laying down a dry run. When the full crew arrived on Friday, they were using the patterns and laying the tile all day. When they left, I went in to inspect the work and they had only used the patterns on about 1/3 of the days work and then starting doing something easier. We pried up what was still wet and scraped the backs clean. Saturday, we made them break up and redo the rest of the area that was wrong. Monday was a holiday but they said they would be working. At about noon I finally called to find out where they were to be told they weren't coming after all. The whole time they were working, we had to constantly point out things we wanted fixed. Fast foward to the end of the job on the following Friday. We looked over everything and then called the store. Before we could get to all the problems, we were given our balance and asked when we could come in to settle up. The balance was much higher than expected as the installer said we had given them the wrong measurements and owed for about 200 sq ft more of tile. We asked for someone from the store come out and remeasure with us there and see how things were left at the completion of the job. When they were "done", there was grout residue all over the floor, mud and grout on the baseboards, walls, front door, driveway, and side of the house. There were pieces of broken tile in the grass and flower bed and mud or grout on the stone boarder of the flower bed. There were 3 places where the tile met up with carpet and it was left unfinished. The carpet was rolled back. I asked the crew leader about it before he left and he said they didn't do carpet. A man from the store came out with the crew leader on Saturday morning. We walked the store rep around and showed him what the completed job looked like. The store rep offered to have someone come out the next week and clean it but we did the clean up ourselves as we were having company due in Saturday night. While we completed the remeasure, the crew leader picked up some of the tile in the beds and cut and tacked down the carpet. He was right when he said he didn't do carpet. The cut was uneven and too short in a few places. We settled with the store for about 50 extra square foot of tile and refused to pay for the additional. The man at the store insisted that the additional 200 sq ft was used on our house to which I agreed but it was due to all the tile that had to be busted up and I wasn't paying for the installer's mistake. I took him pictures and video of the everything that had happened at the house. Even though the rep had described the mess, he didn't get the full picture until we showed him. The gentleman was furious with the installers. He gave us some extra tile and a bag of grout for our trouble. After having the floor professionally cleaned and sealed, we found a large tile with a big round stain (which I pointed out when the installers were here and was told it would come off when it was cleaned), a badly scratched tile that looked like it might have had cuts made on top of it, and 2 loose tiles. We contacted the store and they wanted to sent the original installers back out to fix their mistakes so they wouldn't have to pay a different crew. We do not want them back in our house, so I guess we will hire someone else to come in and do the repairs.

They were great, but all I did was going and buy what I wanted. They were very accomodating though.
Description of Work: We bought the backsplash for our kitchen from them.
