The most important thing I found about them is they make you pay money upfront for your job and the reason they do that is because they use the money to pay for the last customer that came in so that they can buy materials. They don’t do my job until somebody else comes in and gets their money to buy my stuff because their suppliers have them on cash only; carpets and the flooring people will not ship anything to them until they have cash money in hand. After they finished up my job they went and filed for bankruptcy and the next day he was opened up with Jack’s and son carpet. It was just all to do away with debt. I wouldn’t recommend Jack’s Carpet.

Description of Work: While we did not ultimately use Jack's, there were definite reasons we did not. When we went to the showroom they were very helpful and willing to come out to do an estimate. We scheduled an estimate for the following week at our home. The appointment was scheduled for 3:00 pm so of course we had to take off work for the appointment. At 4:00 pm we called the sales rep and he said that the store had gotten busy and that he was on his way. At 5:30 when he had not shown or called, we called again and they said he was stuck in traffic. We were disappointed at the unprofessionalism with not calling us to inform us of the delay. The sales rep never showed and never called us to reschedule or apologize. Needless to say, we did not go with Jack's for our carpet replacement.

On 9/3/2012 I paid for carpet stretch and new carpet. On 9/20 the carpet stretch went fine. They cleared out my bedroom flooring , moved furniture, installed new pad. When they went to cut new carpet discovered it was defective. Installers notified me they would not install and would have to send back to manufacturer. We had them place cut up pcs of my old carpet back in bedroom while we wait for my new carpet. Was told it would be 7 to 10 days for new carpet. I was provided no additional followup on the status of my carpet. I called them on 9/27 and was told would be called in 5 minutes. Well 4 hours later, i called back to be told again we will call you back. Two hours later I decided to call my salesman to advise I need an update on where myy carpet is. Too make a long story short, I filed a dispute with credit card company because Jack's NEVER gave me a refund or my carpet. I filed a BBB complaint as well as a police report. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THIEVES AND LIARS!
Description of Work: Provided quote for carpet stretch of upstairs. Was supposed to do carpet stretch AND Install new master bedroom and closet carpet w/pad.

The final installation was 4 weeks late. They were very unrepsonvise and hard to get in contact with.
Description of Work: Initially we were purchasing woodflooring, carpet, and procelan tile.

We just saw the place and went in and bought the floor. They did the removal and the installation. We love the floors. They did a good job on the floors. We had some problems with the stairs, but they took care of all the problems. We used them for the first time. We didn't compare prices.
Description of Work: We had flooring put in by Jack's Carpet - The Woodlands. We bought the flooring and they just put the wood flooring down.

I had carpet scheduled to be installed the morning of 5/20/11. They arrived at 2pm. When I called their corporate office to express my feelings, they were rude and unprofessional. They did not offer any sort of discount or anything. Also, they did not order enough carpet and will need to come back out to finish the job. I would not recommend this company.
Description of Work: I had all of the carpet in my home replaced.

He informed us that there was a 25% restocking fee for changing, that we owed $150 for that and we said no. They changed it to $450. We do not have a copy of his receipt.
Description of Work: We were not told about this 'chance' measured for carpet in April. We were not sure what we wanted. He wanted half down. We settled for $500.00. Changed our minds and decided on bathroom tile.

We wanted to carpet 2 rooms,stairs and hallway with highly stain resistant frieze . Also wanted wood laminate in two upstairs bedrooms with a product that would match some existing laminate in two other rooms (not available anymore) I selected samples of carpet and wood laminate at the store. The salesman, Chance brought the samples to our home that day (he originally requested a time my husband would be home which I found a bit off putting, but he was okay to come when I assured him that I would be making the decision on this....husband ended up arriving while he was there anyway) Chance was very helpful in our decision making process.We had gotten another quote from a different flooring store and Chance provided a competing price. His expertise on the make up of the carpet (stain resistance etc) helped us understand what we were buying. Based on the research I had done, I felt his information was accurate. He spent several hours helping me match samples. Chance did not try to oversell us. This sealed the deal for me. Dates were set up for install. (one for flooring and one for carpet). Installers were on time and very professional. They made sure I was in agreement with the materials and install procedure. They worked quickly but actually took quite a bit of extra time leveling our upstairs rooms for the laminate....much more so than the the installers who did our other rooms an number of years ago did. (they are out of business). The clean up from both crews was excellent. You couldn't tell they had been here even though the laminate project required quite a bit of sawing etc. No one smoked cigarettes or littered my yard with butts (this has happened way too many times with workmen in the past). It's been 2 months and we love our flooring and carpet. No problems have come up. Chance followed up after the install with a phone call and then 2 weeks later the owner, Jack called to ask about our experience and satisfaction.

It went really great. The tile encompassed around 1000 square feet so all of my kitchen, foyer and halls. It was completely done in three days. The backsplash was done quickly. They did a professional job. The guys were very skilled at their work. Some of the tile work was really intricate and they did a good job.
Description of Work: They did about 1000 square feet of floor tiling and the backsplash in my kitchen.
