They did an exceptional job. They were the cheapest bid and were available the quickest for scheduling. These can be negative flags, and they had some negative write-ups on various reviews. After a thorough vetting, I agreed. Could not have been more satisfied. They arrived on the day they quoted, finished the job in the time frame (10 days) quoted, a feat considering the 3 city inspections required. It became obvious as the job progressed that paint matching was going to be difficult, so they painted the back wall at no extra cost. Cleaned up after themselves. No leaks post the 40+' Harvey rain event.
Description of Work: Townhouse required extensive repairs to stucco on back wall. This included patch work, caulking, flash work, and full replacement in a couple of locations.

The whole process went a lot smoother than I anticipated. I have heard many horror stories about contractors all of my life but this was not the case with Greg. His workers were punctual, courteous and performed the entire job without incident. I was very happy with the results and would use them again.
Description of Work: Greg and his team removed moisture from my stucco home around the windows, doors and areas where the sprinklers were hitting the stucco.

Greg Carter with Ivory Carter Enterprises (ICE) did horrible stucco repairs and provided a beyond horrible product support. He caused us a lot of stress, frustration and hassle. In a matter of few weeks/months since completion, his repairs started falling apart. Signs of failure were all over the place and growing at an alarming rate worse than pre-repairs. Several perimeter and moisture cracks in his stucco were very long and wide-enough that you could see the underlying wood through them. We had trusted him to do repairs due to a referral by a stucco inspector. Before repairs, we sent him stucco inspection reports indicating the need for some repairs. He stated: “I see exactly what the problem is. I have a fix.” and “This is a pretty straight forward repair for me. I have done dozens up dozens just like this.” and “I got you covered on this” and “Please rest assured that I will do a very good job and that the finished product will cause you no reason for concern.” He fooled us, did a shoddy work, took a lot of money (~$14,000), did not stand by his work and caused a lot of concern. Even after 2 post-repair reports by 2 different inspection firms, which were costly to obtain, he still kept denying that he had done something wrong in a rude manner. Reports pointed out all repair deficiencies and damages in areas he had “repaired.” He ignored and denied the existence of damages and attempted to bully his way out. On top of several inspectors, we brought several stucco contractors to check out repairs/issues. Total of 11. They said: these are warranty calls. Experts said: repairs not only fixed original issues but made them worse. Contractors said: sometimes we do bad jobs too but we stand by our work. Instead of listening to all these experts he was extremely rude (worst we’ve seen so far) and did not honor the warranty on repairs per contract. Instead he kept coming up with baseless nonsense that according to attorneys we consulted with were absurd, unreasonable, and ridiculous attempting to just deny his obligations and get away with it. He wasted a lot of our time yet he did not even stop by for 2-min to check the aftermath of his repairs in person let alone a simple apology. A bit of history, signs of his repair’s failure (cracks on walls) started showing up just few weeks after completion. We notified him. His solution: had his young and inexperienced guys just caulk the cracks. That took ~30-min to do; we could’ve done it ourselves. In a month, same cracks came back longer/wider. Again, we notified him. Instead of truly figuring out why cracks keep coming back and fix the main source of repair problem, he gave us a hard time and sent over his guys to just caulk the cracks again. They created an eyesore with all the caulking lines on walls and ruined the look of property. We complained at the time; they said when we leave and paint on caulking dries, lines disappear. That never happened. He gave us a hard time and attempted to fool us by: “Understand the stucco is cement and it will crack. It is the nature of the product” and “future cracking will not be addressed further”] yet months later when we sent him the inspection reports pointing-out all issues/damages, he says: “All I see is few cracks” and “I will schedule the cracks to be caulked in the *next 60 days*” and “I will do that under warranty. Nothing else is covered under my warranty”. Horrible and irrational statements because caulking the same cracks in the past/future is similar to fooling ourselves by brushing glaring issues under the carpet; no thanks. Cracks were symptoms that something was fundamentally wrong with his repairs which he refused to fix and instead kept attempting to fool us by: this is just a “simple caulking issue”. So simple that it would take “60 days” to address?! Ridiculous. We attempted several times to resolve issues amicably and gave him many chances to correct his work. His horrible-quality workmanship, dysfunctional repairs, not holding himself accountable and not abiding by the warranty, ended up costing us another $13,000+ on top of what he was paid to repair something that was supposed to be “repaired” already and fix the damage he caused. We hired a good contractor and they removed his stucco in “repaired” areas and we all saw firsthand the wood and beam were damaged. We also saw what he had done wrong in the first place—main source of repair problem. The level of negligence was shocking. He had done a really horrible job. We documented everything to sue him. He was very unprofessional for not taking responsibility for his horrible misconduct while he promised a concern-free product and was paid a lot of money to do the job right. We are in the process of suing him.

I found some stucco cracks so had a stucco inspection that turned up wood rot behind my stucco. This was disconcerting to say the least. Greg over at Ivory Carter sat down with me and explained the process to help alleviate my worries. The job was still massive, yet they finished ahead of schedule and on budget. It's so refreshing to deal with a professional that shows up on time and answers the phone when questions arise. I cannot recommend Ivory Carter enough.
Description of Work: Remove old stucco, replace damaged, rotted wood, water and ice shield, re-stucco whole house.
