They were very prompt with repairing the damage.

The gentleman that came to the house was on-time and very professional. He spent quite a bit of time cleaning the exterior unit. He also explained the type of filter we should be using for the air exchange as well as how frequently we should be changing filters. He was really concerned that we get the best performance from our air conditioning unit. We've followed his advice and have seen a decrease in our electrical bill. I would definitely recommend them to a friend or family member.

We had one experience they could've done a better job maybe, a gas log heater in the fireplace. You never know what part's gonna go out. They're a good company. We've been using them since we moved here. I'd say B across the board on just about all the questions you ask.

Quick, they arrived, had the old unit removed and the new one installed in just a few hours.

Team showed-up on time and answered any and all questions about the health of the AC units and provided suggestions on extending the life of the units.

They did a great job, they were responsive to the holidays and everything. They were great, professional, and clean.

They said the system really needed to be replaced and a few weeks after they left, the problem went away. They misdiagnosed the problem. They are reputable in doing business around here for years. Based on the service they performed on this particular trip, I would say the quality wasn't very good. They were responsive. They were on time.

The technician was present only about 30 minutes. Did not inspect the outside unit (it was raining that day). The technician could not clean out the primary drain line, which is what prompted the call. Had to call a plumber. Within two weeks, I had another leak and discovered the air handler box was coming apart. There was still another blockage in the primary drain line, causing the secondary drain line to be overwhelmed. Another technician was sent to deal with the problem. He was able to seal the air handler box with an adhesive and clean out the line.

I called an A/C repair company and they were unable to fix the problem after two separate trips. They charged me $328.00 and said I needed an entire a/c replacement that would cost thousands of dollars. I then called Hal Watson, and they identified and fixed the problem in about 30 minutes.

Fantastic. We are very picky people and worried about the wear and tear on our home during the replacement process. The crew laid down kraft papers on the hard floors and blankets on the carpet. Once the job was complete, you couldn't tell they had been in our house. The follow up service for minor adjustments was great, and the units run great too. We've used Hal Watson for the last 16 years for repairs, new constuction and replacements. I would recommend them to anyone.

Hal Watson's expert came to look at our old ac/heater, took measurements, & said he was sure they could find a new one within a reasonable length of time. Within a month, they came & installed a new one that fit perfectly into the space, & works amazingly well. We are very happy. We had also used Hal Watson twice in May after our old ac guy had "inspected" our air conditioners & pronounced them in perfect condition; that very same evening my husband found one of the ac's dripping water out of the overflow pipe from the drip pan. So we called Hal Watson because our builder/remodeler friend uses that company, & they came & fixed the problem by blowing out the P trap. This cost $120, which we thought was a fair price. It clogged up again a couple of weeks later, & they came again, decided that the problem was bits of insulation getting into the drain lines (we had extra insulation blown into our attic several years ago). The Hal Watson technician cleared the insulation out of the drain lines & moved all the loose bits away from the pan so it wouldn't happen again. This trip cost $185, which we also thought was a fair price. We intend to use this company again for all our ac/heater needs.

They came quickly and did the diagnostics and found the problem with our heater. They didn't have the part needed in stock and had to order it. Within the next 3 days however, they were able to get the heater up and running.

This was an after hours call when a tenant's AC unit stopped cooling. In 100+ degree Houston heat, this was a serious situation that needed to get fixed right away. The tech showed up on time, took a 30 second look at unit in the attic, then went to exterior unit and noted the fan was not turning even though the compressor had started. He checked the capacitor for the fan motor and it was dead. Spent a total of 10 minutes doing the replacement and checking the line pressures. Then spent 5 minutes hosing off the exterior housing that did not need it. Its a 2 year old home with no trees! Then handed me a bill for over $300! In total, including the hosing off the housing, he spent 15 minutes working, charged me $99 for the privilege of coming to the house, $123 for 15 minutes of work and $80 for a $20 dollar part. I know its a $20 part because I just ordered 2 more on Amazon for $20.05 each. I won't get ripped off again. These people have been doing my and my in-laws home for years. So to get ripped off like they did last night is inexcusable. It's inexcusable in ANY situation, but to take advantage of someone's emergency situation by charging such exorbitant fees is just plain wrong. Oh, and they never indicated their outrageous rates when I spoke to them so the bill was a total shock. Let's just say they lost my family's business for life. There are MANY AC companies out there. These people don't need my business any longer. Lesson learned.

I have a large house, with 4 AC units. One AC unit wasn't cooling. We called this morning, and they scheduled a visit for the same day (on the hottest week of the year so far in Houston!) from 1 to 3 this afternoon. The techs called around 1 to say they would be here in 30 minutes, and they were. I explained the problem, showed them the non-working unit, and they found the problem quickly. A blown capacitor on the compressor. This was a cheap and easy fix. They also monitored the current draw during startup, and recommended a quick start system for this unit to lower the surge power required (which was more than 100 amps). Since I have this unit set up to run on a generator if the power is out, this was a good idea. I can also run another AC unit off this generator, so I asked them to install a kit on that one, too. The total cost includes the cost of the original fix, which was less than $200, plus the other quick start kits. I think this was a bargain. A less reputable AC contractor would have tried to sell me a new compressor for the system for $2k, when all I needed was a cheap part. BTW - I'm a registered professional engineer, and an engineering expert who testifies in court. I can't be BS'd when it comes to most anything that is technical, so they could easily see that I knew what I was talking about... but I really don't think that would have made a difference in how they behaved and what they did. I think they are competent, and honest, and would refer them freely. The lead tech clearly knows his job, and we had a great conversation about all 4 AC units, the different capacitors they need (I normally keep spares, but didn't have this one), serial numbers and how they differ from the units made in the US versus overseas, etc. We have used this company for 9 years (since we have owned this house), and I'm not about to stop.

They arrived on time...got right to work....they completely removed old unit inside and out....rebuilt inside closet that contains heater unit cleaned up everything....made sure everything was in running order.... Also added cement slab under outside unit. I have used Hal Watson for years....This company is dependable ..fair in prices and honest. I trust this company completely....there was a time I called in someone else just to see different estimates.... Moore sent someone out told me I needed a new air conditioner....said mine was no good could not be repaired.....I called Hal Watson again...they came out.. replaced a worn part cost about 200 I think... and it ran for another two years..this time called them ..they tried to repair had to almost replace everything and it still would not work...he said it is that time..I already felt it....so I agreed to replace it...I could not be happier.. I believe they gave me good sound advice...and paramount service.

Was punctual and did a good job.

It went great. My AC went out on Memorial Day. I called 3 companies, and Hal Watson was the only one that called me back. They made it out within an hour, and had the AC working again in about 1.5 hours.

I wasn't actually home but I didn't notice that anything was out of place when I got home. I guess they did a good job. My A/C was still under warranty and they did some searches and got with the manufacturer. They were able to replace the coil for free and that saved me about $2000. I felt that they went the extra mile for me.

They were good. We're going to use them as a service contract for them to come out and clean 4 times a year. My experiences with them was good.

The service went fine. We did not necessarily like the processes of having to have a "basic" technician come out and assess the problem. Then have a "sales" man come out and suggest the equipment and then to finally have someone come out to actually install the new unit.

I have been using Hal Watson AC for almost 20 years and they are exceptional. Everyone from the office staff to the technicians in the home are very professional and most helpful. I have them check my unit in the spring and fall and have always felt very comfortable with the assessments. Hope they plan to be around for a very long time!

Great. We've been using Hal Watson for a number of years. In fact, we used them to get a second opinion when another company said we needed to replace our furnace. Hal Watson said we didn't. Then we invited the other company back out so they could prove why we needed the new furnace. The other company then admitted that they were assuming based on the age of the furnace that we needed this new furnace. That was 6-8 years ago, and we have used Hal Watson ever since. Yes, we have since replaced everything but that was because we actually needed to not because someone assumed so.

They very Quick to respond. Very happy as they got both units back on same day as called. Took care of the job in reasonable time. Stated that they had checked everything and I believe they did. My wife and I both have handicaps which limit us in checking everything therefore I did not tell them to change my filters and they did not nor did they ask to. They had to go into the attic and they kick out a fair amount of insulation they did make an effort to pick any of it up.
