I called EZ floors to give us an estimate on carpet for the 2nd story. Usama came to our house within 2 days of the initial call. He was very prompt and very helpful and answered all of our questions. Within 3 days after we placed our order, the installation people called to set up a day and time to install the carpet. They showed up exactly when they said they would and installed it all in one day. This has been a great experience working with EZ floors and will be sure to use them again when we retire the downstairs.
Description of Work: Replaced carpet in upstairs bedrooms and game room.

We went to EZ Floors on 2920 on a recommendation from a friend. We worked with Yusama and he was very helpful in helping us understand different options and prices. He was friendly, quick to respond to all of our questions, and genuinely cared that we were happy with the final product. From signing the contract to installation was 3-4 weeks. We were estimated 6 days for completion, but they finished in 3. We had tile, carpet, and wood removed and replaced with wood on our first floor. We plan to go back to EZ Floors (and Yusama) again when we replace the carpet upstairs.

I spoke with Mark. He came out and gave me a bid on the job. He showed up on time and was very professional. He also got a quote back to me when he said he was going to. We did not go with EZ floors only because we needed the work done before they could schedule us. I will keep them on my short list for any future needs.
Description of Work: I had EZ floors quote a job to lay tile through out my house and take out some old wood floors/tile.
I initially sent emails to 3 flooring contractors/showrooms. Only 1 company, EZ Floors contacted me. The initial contact was within 10 hours of my email. Shawn (?) contacted me to set up an appt for an estimate involving the removal of carpet and placing laminate flooring. He wanted me to view the products EZ Floor carries, but was willing to do the install if I didn't see any products I liked (my daughter and I had seen a floor we liked at a large warehouse showroom). There are several EZ Floor showrooms in Houston so my daughter and I went to a showroom near our house. We went the same day Shawn returned our call.. Usama (Sam), the salesman was very patient and showed us multiple samples of laminate flooring. Additionally, he suggested we go to the house and he would take measurements and give us an estimate that day. We went to the house and his estimate was accepted. The estimate included the flooring and installation of the under layer and laminate. It also included removal and disposal of the carpet and pad as well as a little tile in each bath. It also included quarter round in each room. Additionally, his installers also removed and replaced the toilets. The price quoted was cheaper than I expected. I was aware of the cost of the other warehouse's flooring, but then needed to add the under layer, tile and carpet removal and disposal, the quarter round and labor. Sam was in touch with me every step of the way- from when the product would be available and when installation would begin and be completed. We were texting each other after normal business hours. When I was unsure of color for the grout, he would offer several options- but always willing to do whatever I wanted. I believe this flooring made my small, simple house become an elegant house! The painters saw the house before and after the flooring and tile were installed. The first thing they both said when they saw the flooring was "Wow!". I am so pleased with the work of Usama and EZ Flooring that I will use them when I update my kitchen and baths.

When material arrived - it did not match. So we decided to have them tear up old flooring and just order more and do the entire first floor. This batch did not match what they had delivered a couple of days prior - one batch was the red hue while the other batch was the yellow hue. So we were down to cement at that point with a move-in date looming in 14 days. The store manager in the meantime informed us that it would have been impossible to match 13yo flooring and didn't know why his salesman had said that. We put all that aside and decided to just do the whole house in a completely different, more expensive product as we figured with an upgrade ordered at the same time we would have a floor that all looked the same. Guess what? They said that even though we were about to spent $15,000.00, we had to pay a $1000 re-stocking fee because of THEIR mistake. At this time, we asked what it would cost to part ways and we paid them $1000 for the tear up and $500 for the so-called "re-stocking fee". Their customer service was horrible - throughout our interaction with them, it would take 2-4 phone calls to get a return call and made us feel like we were bothering them - even when were were about to spend thousands of dollars with their company! We maintained the high road and stayed polite and reasonable, but they did NOT treat us properly or have any desire to clean up the mistakes they had made. We turned to Floors for Living on Louetta in Spring and from the first visit to their storefront had a much different experience. They were happy to have our business and got the job done. You can read our review of Floors for Living in Spring on their site. By the way - We have now been informed there IS NO SUCH THING AS A RE-STOCKING FEE.
Description of Work: Salesman repeatedly assured us they could match the 13 year old engineered wood flooring in our home.
EZ Floors were professional from beginning to end. They did everything they said they would do, and in the time frame they said they would take care of it. We worked with Chris, and enjoyed our total experience.
Description of Work: Installed hardwood floors on our stairs and upstairs landing, and installed carpet in our upstairs bedrooms. We supplied the hardwood floors.

Description of Work: The engineered wood floor installation went seamless, our college student had removed the existing 20 yr old floor the first day and the EZ Floor guys floated the slab the second day . On day day three , the 5 man crew showed up around 11:00 and worked until the floor was finished that evening. | The quality of the materials and the craftsmanship were awesome. |We have already referred our daughter who has an install on the books. | Good Job. | |

They arrived to our house early and showed us the carpet and pad and made sure it was the right color and pad we wanted. they went straight to work installing the carpet and had it done in about 2 1/2 hours even did a hallway closet for us that was not measured at no extra cost. Once they were done with the install they came and asked us to walk the floor with them to make sure it was done to our liking and that they did not miss and spots. We are very pleased with the work and the installers. We have 3 more rooms to be carpeted and easy floors will be doing them.
Description of Work: installed carpet in the living room and hallways of our house
Description of Work: laid tile in two bathrooms. Arrived on time, very courteous, professional. Actually started the job a day before they had planned to. Called and asked if was ok. Cleaned up after they were done, had me inspect their work before leaving

When the installers arrived and removed the carpet (blasting their radio while my wife was trying to work in her office), they drew our attention to small cracks in the slab, and stated that these were settlement cracks that would expand and crack the tile after they installed it. For that reason, they said that they'd do the installation, but would not warranty their work. We contacted our builder (DR Horton), who was still working in the neighborhood, and they sent over their construction engineer right away, as well as a representative of the company that performs all of their new flooring installations. The construction engineer patiently explained the process that they use for pouring their concrete slabs (utilizing post-tensioning steel cables), which results in a stronger slab. He explained that the cracks do form during the curing process, especially when the slab is poured in hot weather, but that the slab is secure and the cracks will not expand, due to the presence of the tensioned cables. His flooring installer agreed with his assessment, and stated that they have installed tile on many slabs with cracks worse that the ones that he was seeing, and that they had not encountered any problems on those installations. In spite of the explanation by an expert, the EZ Floor installers refused to stand behind the work that they were about to do, so we called the store, cancelled the installation, and were given a refund of a few dollars of our deposit, so we only paid for the materials that were delivered to our home (about $915). With less than two weeks remaining before Thanksgiving, with company coming to visit for the holiday, we then found a new company to perform the installation of the tile.
Description of Work: Company was contracted to provide ceramic floor tile and installation (including carpet removal) in our home, which was less than a year old. Deposit of $950 was paid in advance.
The carpet and the tile were installed well and without incident. The hardwood was installed on the stairs and I didn't like the stair noses that came with the floor I chose. EZ Floors custom made and color matched new stair noses at no extra cost. The marble countertops were damaged on installation and they were also replaced at no extra cost. I am not an easy customer but would use EZ Floors in the future and would recommend them to others.

EZ Floors on 5015 FM 2920 was recommended by someone who had purchased flooring from them and told me that two family members had used them and had a great experience. I will start by saying I had every intention of shopping around. I went to a carpet and flooring store on Kukendahl -and walked all around and no one every said hello or asked if I needed help so I left. They obviously did not want my business. Then I went to EZ Floors on FM 2920 and was told to ask for Steve. I walked in the door with my Sister and Steve greeted us immediately. Great start right? Then he knew his products. He was able to answer every question I had. Steve came out, did a measure at my home. My house is 30 years old and I decided to replace the very worn flooring in every room. I made tile, engineered hardwood (Anderson) and Carpet (Shaw) selections. My estimate was very reasonable. I did not want to have to seal my grout so I went with an upgraded self sealing grout Steve recommended called Fusion . It was worth the extra cost. Steve said it could all be done in 7 days. I did not believe it was possible but I had 3 different crews beginning on Monday. I received a call every morning from these crews telling me when to expect them and that is when they showed up. The tile for Kitchen, Laundry Room and 2 bathrooms took 2.5 days Monday-Wednesday. There were 2 guys. They were more of a perfectionist than I am. They worked fast but made sure it was right and perfectly leveled. Then Thursday, new crew to lay the wood. There were 2 guys who also called ahead of time to let me know they were coming then they demo'd my tile foyer, took up carpet and leveled the floor. The next day Friday, 5 guys showed up at 9am and my wood floor was done by 3pm. It was beautiful! They worked fast but cut no corners. Then Monday, new crew also called like the others got to my house around 10-1030am and it was done by 3-4pm. Every crew did a great job, moved my furniture with care and cleaned up their mess. If I had questions during the process, Steve answered them. If Steve was out then David assisted me. I would recommend Steve and the nice professional folks at EZ Floors on 2920 to anyone that wants a non stressful experience!
Description of Work: I purchased and had EZ Floors install tile in my Kitchen and two bathrooms, engineered hardwood in my living room, foyer, and dining room and carpet in my three bedrooms.
The granite is AWESOME.. The laminate I thought would be a little better quality have had to have them repair some puppy spots. Just remember on flooring you get what you pay for. I am having them do more work at my other home, they are great to work with ask for David at the Spring location...
Description of Work: They installed granite countertops and laminate flooring
