Called company for a simple sprinjkler repair. They made appointment - said their guy would be here between 4 and 6 pm. Their guy was a no show. At 6:00, I called company. Was told they would call their guy and call me right back. Never called back.

Called for sprinkler repair on a system that was sitting unused for 2 years. Guy showed up and immediately started trying to sell a brand new sprinkler system. When we told him we only wanted the repairs done he said he wasn't a repair guy (despite the fact that we told the company we wanted REPAIRS they sent this guy out) and would have to send someone else out the following week. They never called back to send someone which was A-OK with us since we had no intention of using them after this companies obvious lack of understanding or concern about a customer.

The actual work done was good, but the company was extremely difficult top deal with. They came out promply to see the yard and bid the job. After I engaged them I found them to be terrible about returning phone calls. They just don't do it. I have had to call repeatedly to get answers and keep the project moving. The work crews who came out to do the actual work were polite, hard working and skilled. Some examples of my concerns: CBS, who said they do a lot of business in Harris county, did not know that a permit was required for the sprinkler system work. I had to coordinate efforts between CBS and the county to get the permit, get it paid for, and get it inspected to avoid substantial penalties. That process took weeks, and it wasn't the county causing the delays. Now I am trying to get some warranty work done 2 months after the job was completed. Two plants are dead due to the new sprinkler system not delivering water to them. I'm back in the same cycle of calling repeatedly and not having my calls returned. It has been very frustrating trying to deal with them.

This is a very professional group. They were punctual, quick and followed my picky instructions. The managers were personable and easy to get in touch with.

We had a very good experience. They were prompt, did what we had agreed to do, and responded after the installation was complete,to make a few corrections that were needed.

TERRIBLE, they never showed up, and didn't even call to tell me they weren't coming!

I fired them.

We dropped CBS Services from further consideration for our project.

The people from CBS Services are very good. They are very neat and quick. Their services are excellent. I do not have any problems with them. They are reliable but, I have to wait a couple of days after I call them.

From my first phone call, the owner Wade Martinez took ownership of my account. I had a fully detailed estimate emailed to me within a couple hours of his visit, for various projects including the sprinkler system. The guys showed up on the install day and finished within the 2 day time frame. I just put a deposit down for CBS to install my brick patio. More to come... One other note, a neighbor got a sprinkler system (from another company) about a week before me. His ward was torn up, and the installation looked pretty rough. I was expecting my yard to be in rough shape, but was pleasantly surprised when I got home from work, and I saw green! I was certainly impressed with the way things were "put back" to their original condition. Incidentally, I selected CBS/Smarter Sprinkler BEFORE looking at Angie's list - and I lucked out.

Chris showed up...had the parts...did the repair AND checked our entire system. He showed me how some heads were watering the sidewalk. Then he adjusted. We were very pleased with the the service. They showed up the next day after I called.

They are good. They are very competitive. They are a good outfit. I can't complain, and I really like their insurance. One visit from a sprinkler person would probably cost more than their insurance. They honor their commitments and they are good. My experience with them has been very satisfactory. They are relatively inexpensive, and with their design you don't end up wasting water. They actually dug all of the trenches by hand and got it done in one day. They did an excellent job, and I think we have a very good system. They are very professional, and if a neighbor wanted a recommendation for a sprinkler system I would recommend them.

Like the times before, the service was great. We went over the plan, agreed upon a price and they performed the work very quickly. Even though I was late to get the process started, they still managed to get all the work done and mess cleaned up before our big party.

Since then we have maintained our annual warranty with them which I think just may be their claim to fame. For a very inexpensive fee, they guarantee to repair, replace, move, change the clock/settings/spray no matter what happened, whether you kicked the sprinkler or the dog ate it up. They have a 110% guarantee to make a service all at your home within 72 hours. They have always responded to our calls within 48. We see the same people year after year. Always clean, neat, polite, knowledgeable and even kind to the dog. I can't praise them high enough. They provide the type of customer service that is missing these days. It continues to be a pure pleasure to deal with CBS.

Chris showed up while I was not at home - there was a scheduling misunderstanding I guess. Anyway, he waited for 20 minutes while I headed home. He did a great job in finding the valve locations (BTW, the sprinkler system was installed by the same company). My only gripe is that their service seems to be more expensive than it should be. I checked the part prices in the web and was surprised how much they charged for just 5-10 minutes of work even though he had to wait 20 minutes for me. Even though I graded "B" overall (price played the main role), I must say that Chris was very professional and friendly.

I recently bought my house and Smarter Sprinklers had serviced this address for the previous owners. I received a coupon in the mail from Smarter Sprinklers and I called to set up a service appointment for the afternoon of March 22, 2007. I requested a "call ahead notification" prior to arrival. At 3:30 pm I called Smarter Sprinklers to see when I could expect them to show. I was told by a young lady that she forgot to call me that morning to reschedule due to the fact that the person that was supposed to perform the services had a flat tire on his way into work and didn't come in. So I reluctantly rescheduled for the morning of March 27, 2007. I requested to be the first on the list and the lady said that I was and that the service techs get in around 7:00 am. At 8:15 am on said day, I called Smarter Sprinklers and there was no answer. Finally at 9:15 am, Smarter Sprinklers called me and said they didn't have anyone that could make it and to reschedule. I declined and canceled.

Smarter Sprinklers did an awesome job, as we are very pleased with the sprinklers and the system set up. It is very evident that these folks are great at what they do. They system was put in very quick, within two days and the yard wasn t all tore up. The guys showed us how to control when they come on and how to reset the timers for different times of the year. They work great and reach every inch of the grass so the planning was well done. It was a fair price for us to be able to keep a green lawn.

They did a beautiful job. I feel that they are on the pricey side, but do excellent work for the cost. I feel it was well worth the price I paid. They had to come out to re-adjust the system twice; however, they came out right away and did the adjusting at no extra cost. My neighbors also use them. I like the job they did in my backyard with cleaning up after themselves and installing the sprinklers.
