Carnival Custom Painting

I waited so long to review this company because I kept telling myself that I wanted to post some before and after pictures. Well, after all this time I figured out that I'm never going to learn how to post those pictures so, just know that the before and after of the outside of my home is just stunning to behold. This company did everything promised and they did it in a methodical and workman-like way. So nice in today's world of "short-cut-taking". There was an unforeseen problem in spite of the care taken by the crew. The top of the line "one coat" while paint I chose did NOT cover in one coat! Ron got the Sherwin Williams Sr. Representative meet him at my home and they discussed options and before I knew it the Carnival crew swooped back in for one short day of redoing most of the white trim and the problem was solved to our satisfaction. We gave Ron at Carnival one more job when a plumber devastated our master bedroom and messed up our hallway in the process. Ron sent a crew to retexture my hallway ceiling and repaint the original color. They did another excellent job. Looking for more projects to give to these guys.......just have to save up!

The service went well. The painter assisted me by moving items out of the way. He had materials to cover with so paint would not get on my items. He completed the job with in about 4 hours which was no problem.

Good professional service with individuals who knew their craft. Job was originally estimated at 3-4 days for preparation and painting. It took 2-3/4 days with the first day of preparation going very slow. However I am sure that after Ron called them the pace of work picked up considerably. Job end up well, no overspray on the counter tops or wood floors. Two areas of improvement with Carnival. 1)Even after discussing with Ron all costs up front including taxes and materials, the crew after finishing up the job presented an additional charge of $150 to miscellaneous materials (tape rolls--$150 really?). My wife called Ron and he asked that it be split. She agreed being the kind hearted person she is, I would not have. I look at this as a forced tip to the crew. 2) The crew while good workers took the easy out in the area under the island cabinets by only applying one coat of paint over the previous paint. Not a big deal since it is in an area that will never be seen by others but the best painting crew would not have missed this detail. I would hire again but I would get the final cost signed up front (thought I had but not signed) and inspect the painting job on completion for missed unseen areas. Ron was good to work with and is the main reason I would return.

The painters themselves were polite and worked quickly, with no drop cloths - so there were a few small dribbles on the carpet and bathroom counter, but not much. My main concern was that the man I scheduled the appointment with (a few weeks ahead of time) didn't seem to keep track of his appointments. I called a day or two ahead to confirm and he had no record of having scheduled with me. Fortunately, I called early enough ahead that they were still able to come when I had planned.

Earlier this spring Carnival Painting came out and pressure washed our house & driveway. They took off rotted siding and replaced it with Hardi Plank and painted the entire exterior of our house and garage, including the gutters, down spouts, etc. They did a fantastic job and we feel it will last for years to come. Just last week they came back to do some interior painting, including some minor repairs to plaster and gyp rock. They painted 6 room plus a 1/2 bath where they painted the cupboards and trim as well as walls. Antonio and his crew were very careful to cover everything and took care of our house as if it was their own. After they left I did see a few things I wanted touched up and they came back quickly and finished it up beautifully. The quality of the painting is the best I've seen in The Woodlands. We have lived here 8 years and used 5 different painting companies. I am very picky and expect professionals to do a professional job. None of the other companies have come anywhere near as close. I would highly recommend Carnival Painting to anyone for the quality of their work, their prices (not the lowest but no where near the highest) and their courteous, efficient and professional staff, from owner Ron, and Antonio and his crew. Thank you, Ron, Antonio and crew! We look forward to working with you again in the near future!

I was very pleased with Carnival Paining. Ron was very easy to work with and the painters themselves worked hard and did an excellent job. Painters were on time and took care of the house in the course of their work. I had to change the start time many times and Carnival was able to handle every change which was very much appreciated as I am sure this was difficult to schedule. The painting was done in a week and I was very pleased with the results. I would definitely use Carnival again for future painting needs.

They did a excellent job on the patch. You can not tell that the ceiling and wall has been patched. The did the patch and painted the repair.

Excellent work - Fast and well done. They show up on time and work steadily and if you have any problems with the work they fix it immediately. This is the second time we have had them out - they are excellent and I would recommend them to anyone.

A couple of weeks ago we had a custom cabinet built in what will be our nursery. It's not a walk in closet, just a double-door reach-in. Once the cabinet was installed, I set out to find someone to paint it. I sent a message to Carnival Custom Painting to request a bid. (The closet has been completely caulked and 90% of the nail holes filled. We're looking to have it primed and spray painted white. We would pay for materials.) I sent the request for an estimate on Sunday afternoon. Didn't hear back from Ron until Wednesday. When he did reach out, he said the earliest he could come out was at 3PM the following Tuesday. (That puts us about a week and a half out from my initial request for a bid.) Around 2:50 on Tuesday, Ron called to tell me he was 45 minutes away, i.e. 30 minutes late. Not a deal breaker, but also not impressive. Despite all of that, I was still optimistic that the estimate would be on target and we could get started. No way. The estimate is nearly twice what it should be, according to my father in law, who's been a builder for 30+ years. I'm now reaching out to other vendors for bids, hoping they're more responsive, punctual and reasonable.

They did a fanstic job. They were very timely. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. I'd recommend them and I plan on having them come back out to do some more work.

The work was done well with good results. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves well.

His crew painted it and did a wonderful job.

Carnival showed up exactly on time, and took exactly the amount of time they estimated. (first time I've ever had that happen with a contractor). Ron the manager called me the morning of the first day the crew showed up and the day the crew finished. I couldn't have asked for better quality of work and timeliness of the job. I would definitely use this company again. We had a terrible experience with the prior company called (Doing it Right). Be sure to stay away from that company. But call Carnival for any drywall and painting work. Juan Hernandez was the manager on our job and he was easy to deal with, respectful of our property and highly professional.

Carnival sent out a crew of 3-4 painters (they were there for 3 days, not all showed up on all days). Antonio was the head guy and was very good at explaining everything they were doing. They power washed the outside of the house that probably hadn't been cleaned since the house was built 8 years ago. They added molding to the house where the brick met the wood as the builder had left big gaps. They caulked spaces by the windows and cracks that had formed on the columns on the front porch. I had added a color to the mix since my house paint had only one color and I felt the columns needed to be a lighter color. Antonio listened to my suggestions, took my paint colors and had the house painted per my requests. They painted everything on the outside which included eaves and ceilings (the house is brick), columns, 3 garage doors, 2 outside doors, and shutters. They also refinished the outside of my stained front door. The company gives you a cost for the painters, and then gives you a "ballpark" for the cost of the paint. When the painters were finished they brought all the receipts for costs of paints and materials to show you what you paid extra for. I thought this was a very honest way to do business. I would recommend them for any painting project. .

It was excellent. Ron came gave me a very reasonable price. His crew was on time, heads down and went to work. I was more than satisfied. The job was estimated to be a 3 day job but they finished in two days.

Ron and I had a hard time connecting at first and the painters showed up an hour late but the overall experience makes that difficult to even remember. Juan and his helper were not only really good painters but were professional, polite, and respectful. They set up quickly, got right to work, and moved amazingly fast, which meant they finished the job in one day and kept the cost of the job lower. They carefully covered the hardwoods and stairs, taped where needed, and when they finished, did a meticulous clean up job (including completely wiping down the hardwood floors to make sure they looked better than when they walked in). Final price was exactly what was quoted. Although there a couple of 'B's in my rating, this was very much an 'A' experience. I have another job coming up in future that Ron will certainly get.

I had Carnival Custom Painting paint the exterior and interior of the house. I thought the price was little high. They were very knowledgeable, gave me several options. Provided good service but took a little longer than expected.

I initially was not pleased with the quality due to poor paint coverage in some areas and one area (inside back door) that was not painted as agreed. Ron responded to my concerns, agreed with my assessment and had the painter return for a second pass on the surfaces for no additional charge and no argument. The company came out per their appointments and worked professionally. They certainly stood by their warranty of work and were willing to do whatever was required to please me as their customer. The finished job was excellent and the painter went out of his way - even painting and caulking areas that were not particularly specified in the contract or agreement. I would certainly use them in the future.

The prep and actual job went very well. The crew was very responsive to my husband's questions and concerns about replacing bad wood. The company used a high quality of paint and it looks beautiful. The only complaint I have is minor and it deals with the cleanup. One member of the crew was responsible for tearing apart the old rain gutters for haul-away. He left about three dozen 3-inch screws in the grass and flower beds. It took a couple of days to find them all. The rest of the cleanup was very good. No dripped paint on driveway or patio. All other trash gathered and hauled off. I would recommend them to others.

The repairman kept delaying and coming up with reasons to charge more. Increased labor cost, charge for an entire gallon of paint, etc. it went from the agreed on 700.00 to a 1000.00 job all for a simply hole in a hallway ceiling.

Ron is very easy to work with! Quick response to come bid the project. We received many offers, some less than Ron's, but decided to give Ron the business since he was so friendly and to-the-point. Work will be completed in the next few weeks, will be sure to leave a follow up review of the actual services provided. So far, can't complain.

Estimates and work were at the appointed times. Quality of painting and repairs was excellent, and the price was reasonable.
