Because the job was performed under a termite protection policy, Best Price was contracted through the protection company, not working directly for me. This caused delays because the contractor, Best Price, had to get approval at several stages before proceeding with work. Also because much of the work was structural and extensive, work had to stop at several stages for city inspections. This caused what some might considered excessive delays. However I think under the circumstances delays were unavoidable. The work however was being reviewed the city and myself. There were a few misunderstandings but Best Price was always willing to talk and we worked them out quickly. Because of the age of the house (a brick house built in the 50's) there were a few problems but Best Price brought in workmen to correct them. There were no problems passing city inspections. The structural and replacement work went very well, the replacement being more like a remodel than a repair. The drywall in the bedrooms was professionally replaced or patched. The bathroom is now very modern in appearance, with new tile, drywall, flooring and trim. The finished job is satisfying to look at and well worth the wait.
