Appliance Rescue Service

Alan returned my call to schedule an appointment, during which we talked about what the problem might be. He told me things to look for, inspect on my own. It looked like the start relay and capacitor were suspect. Alan was booked for the next few days, so I obtained and replaced the relay and capacitor. Fixed! Alan now has my "undying loyalty"! I'll use Applicance Rescue Service in the future!

He had to come 3 times within three weeks and each time he thought it was repaired, it wasn't. Many different parts and $750.00 later it was repaired but still has condensation inside. On the up side, he was not going to stop trying until he figured it out and to his credit, he did!

Called Alan. He couldn't come here in time and AGAIN solved the problem on the phone for $0. One day, this guy will get to make a house call. Amazing.

I called and Alan called back right away. Said that he had seen others have similar problems and offered a couple ideas on what it could be and gave me a fix to try before spending money, though he said he'd be happy to come out. Well, his layman's explanation helped me get it working again, and I'm definitely NOT technical. Now I'm getting ice cubes again. Thanks so much and I'll remember Alan for a long time!!! I won't ever go anywhere else.

He was very professional. He even went in the attic to make sure it was venting properly.

Alan was right on time, if not early, and was able to determine what was needed. Unfortunately he had to make a second trip because he had to order a part, but now all is well, and the ice maker is working well. I will use him again if we have any future problems.

Never got past phone message

When I called, he was courteous and professional. Very friendly. Set up an early morning appointment with the promised of a reminder call the night before. He kept that promise and had the reminder call. He arrived early for the appointment, which was fine. Didn't take him very long at all. Knew exactly what was wrong and how to repair it. Didn't track in any dirt = was very professional in manner and work ethic.

One word ..... WOW!!! Talk about punctual. If you want service to under promise and over deliver, this is the company. All that and at a very reasonable price.

Our main refrigerator was 55F. I called Appliance Rescue Service and described to him the problem. He diagnosed it and then looked into the refrigerator to verify his conclusion. The heater to defrost the cooling coils burned out. He had the part and fixed it on the spot. We had a second refrigerator that we could not keep milk in or it would spoil. I described the symptoms and he diagnosed it correctly again. He called in the part number and set it up so it would be fixed on the same service call - saving us some money. He fixed two refrigerators for less than $250 - and I was expecting to pay well over $1000 for a new one. He made a visit and gave us a firm price. There would have been no charge if we decided not to make the repairs. I will call him any time any of my appliances has problems.

He came on 1/22/14 to determine what was causing the dryer to put short crescent-shaped orange/brown marks on the clothes. He said the rollers needed to be replaced and that the felt gaskets in the dryer were not fitting snuggly and therefore clothes were getting wedged into the gaps causing the marks. Before leaving, he set up the follow-up appointment for the following Monday giving him time to order the necessary parts.

Alan was very professional and punctual. He said he would be at my house at 4pm and actually showed up at 3:40pm. I spoke to Alan the week prior about the issue I was having with my LG dryer and he was polite and honest about what the problem could have been. It took my dryer 3 hrs to dry a load of laundry before Alan fixed it. (I had a big lint problem in the vent). Now it takes 30 minutes. Thanks Alan.

Alan arrived early, quickly solved a problem that he had never seen before, didn't make a mess and charged a reasonable amount. He was professional and friendly and I would definitely recommend him. Great service.

I believe if he is going to limit his services to that specific a service area he should say so on his profile. I drive 24 miles a day to make a living to support my family and Im not self employed.

Alan was able to schedule me quickly, but didn't have the part he needed, so he ordered it and returned 2 days later. I happened to be on vacation and he had a 1:00 appointment left. He came, apologized for wasting my time, but he had misdiagnosed and now needed a different part. I was a little bummed because I interrupted my day to be at home for the appointment. Alan said he would pick up the part first thing Saturday morning (the next day) and fix it. I wasn't going to be home, but hoped like heck I could trust him, took a huge risk for me, and told him I would leave a key outside. (I had already been without a frig for 5 days.). I returned home as he was pulling up to my house, having run out for a frig light bulb that had burned out, after he had already fixed the frig. He was a nice guy, professional, and I trusted him in my home alone. One of the most enticing things on his website was that he makes appointments on the hour instead of giving you a window of time like everyone else. And, he was early to all the appointments. I have a new appliance repair service, because I won't be calling anyone other than Alan.

Having had horrible past experiences with other appliance repair companies, I had been living with a leaking ice maker, a partially functioning washing machine, and an upside down handle on my oven door (left that way by the last and quot;repairand quot; by another company over a year ago). I finally joined Angie's List and after reading many reviews, decided to try Appliance Rescue Service. I called for an appointment on Thursday and was offered a next day Friday appointment. Since we were leaving town for the weekend, we agreed to make the appointment for that following Monday. Alan arrived a few minutes early. He was professional, polite, and very knowledgeable. I explained the three problems and he quickly gave me an estimate. Alan replaced the ice maker in my Kitchen Aid refrigerator and the broken part on my washing machine. He then removed the oven door, took it apart, turned the upside down handle right side up, and quickly put the door back together. He actually had the replacement ice maker and part for my washing machine on his truck! All three repairs were quickly completed within an hour. Alan knew what he was doing and wasted no time doing it! He even gave me some pointers on keeping another one of my appliances running efficiently. For the first time, I have nothing by great things to say about an appliance repair experience! I highly recommend this company. I feel that the price was very fair. I will definitely use this company in the future and recommend it to my family and friends.
