Andy's Appliance Repair

Andy came quickly and on time. He spent quite a bit of time on the fridge/freezer but couldn't locate the problem since the machine was functioning at that time. As he said (very reasonably) it's much easier to find out what's wrong if the machine is broken when tackled. Defeated, he called 'back-up' i.e. the original vendors, and then, because he wasn't satisfied with the answer, which was expensive, he called someone else (I think the manufacturer). Again a very expensive remedy was suggested but he didn't think either back-up was necessarily correct, so he accepted neither. In the end, after fiddling, switching on and off, changing the plug and generally poking and prodding for almost an hour, he gave up, saying to call him back when it stopped working again. He charged just for the call out and left BUT whatever he did, worked. It's been over two weeks now and the unit, which had failed every day, hasn't gone off once. He phoned back after 48 hours to see how the machine was and we told him he'd apparently fixed it. I was impressed by the effort he put in, including calling in other expertise. It takes a big person and a true wish to help to 'admit defeat' and consult others. He was conscientious, reasonable and cheerful. He gets an 'excellent' for every category except for the overall one and that's 'good' but only because he didn't know what was wrong. I'm not sure that I'm being fair on that one; he probably deserves 'excellent'.

Andy was great about setting up my appointment quickly and he arrived promptly. He was able to diagnose the problem and was able to find the part, even though it was no longer being manufactured! I had him order the part and later, changed my mind and decided to replace the range. He was wonderful about cancelling the ordered part and only charged me for the service call. I will definitely use Andy for all my future appliance repair needs. He and his wife make a great team and he was extremely helpful and reasonably priced!

Very good experience. First trip replaced icemaker, repaired disposal and determined part needed for cooktop. Second trip repalced switch in cooktop. On both visits arrival time was within window given and attitude was knowledgeable and professional. I would use them again.

He showed up early, was very professional and proficient, and you could not tell he had ever been there; very neat.

Our fridge/freezer had been acting up for a couple weeks. We had to constantly reset the temperatures and the side and front divider were overheating. Finally on Sunday, the whole appliance gave up and we started the search for an appliance repair company on Angie's List. I called Andy just before 7am on Monday and he called me back just after 7am and said he could be there that afternoon. He arrived on time with this assistant (his wife) and went to work. He knew the issue was the motherboard and gave us a quote. We accepted and our fridge was fixed and running within a couple hours from their arrival. We needed it fixed asap, so we didn't second guess the price. However, after a bit of research we found it was spot on for that repair. Our fridge/freezer works as great as it did before we needed the work. Andy and his assistant were very friendly and professional. We would call them again for any appliance service.

Very professional and through! Andy and his wife came to check one of our GE Profile double ovens that had stopped working a few years ago. I had had another company, All Brand Appliance, check the oven back then but decided to not have it fixed when I was told that the circuit board had been damaged during an oven clean cycle (~900 deg F) and would cost ~$900, again... I'd already had them replace the board twice on the previous few years. I looked up All Brand Appliance on Angie's List to learn that they had an overall B grade and a recent C grade. So, I called Andy. He found the problem was a small locking motor and repaired it for $300. While he was there he asked to see my clothes washer, found the brake mechanism was rusty and repaired it for free.

Service scheduling was immediate and friendly. Service rep was on time. Mike was professional and thorough. Fixed problem promptly and cleaned up afterward. I could not have been more impressed and satisfied with the service I received. I will definitely recommend Andys to my friends.

When the repair service I usually use didn't respond after several days, I checked Angie's List and contacted Mr. Andersen. He had an opening that day, arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem, fixed the machine, and charged a reasonable fee. Total time here: less than 45 minutes. He has a (good) policy of calling before the appointment to make certain someone is home. That way, neither service provider nor client wastes time. His phone rang several time while he was here, so his service is popular. I have a new preferred appliance repair provider -- Andy's Appliance Repair.

Came out within 2 hours of initial call and had the part with him, repaired the connection as well as replacing the burner Did a great job.

I was very pleased. Andy and his wife managed to work me into their schedule and arrived within an hour of when I called. They were very knowledgeable, pleasant, neat, and efficient. Within an hour the refrigerator was fixed and they were on their way . They are a great team.

I called Andy about repairing our double oven. He obtained necessary information and ordered the part that he assessed was most likely in need of replacing, then called us back to set up a visit to do the repair. To make a long story short, we had to cancel the service, but he was extremely gracious and we were very impressed with his professionalism, responsiveness, and straightforward approach in our interactions, and will without reservation be calling him again in the future!!!

He was really good. He was really nice and I got a great report that they would definitely use him again. He told us where we could possibly get a replacement. We will definitely use his services again in the future.

Andy and his wife arrived on time, and worked as a team to drain the water line, tested for additional leaks, and confirmed that the water dispenser and icemaker were working properly before they left.

They were honest, they were punctual and they were reasonable. I liked their workmanship. It was an all round good experience. I will use them in the future.

Everything worked out fine. We liked what they did. They were nice and they did what they said they would do.

The guys name was Randy and I got him off of Angie's List. I thought he was terrific. He and his wife are the crew. They were very personable and pleasant. I thought the price was good for what he did and the amount time he spent. I felt very happy.

We were very pleased with them. The guy had to work very hard to fix the problem. He stuck with it and didn’t give up. He was all around a very kind and good person. We spent about $300 for their service. It was a very expensive repair. It was tough for him to do and hard to find the parts because it’s an older machine, but he stuck to it.

Very Prompt, knew what he was doing. Good experience. Unfortunately, we needed a licensed plumber to repair gas line to dryer, so Andy was not able to complete that portion of repair. But he recommended a quality plumbing company.

Repair was completed quickly with no further issues since the repair was done. Repairman left the kitchen in the same shape it was in before he got there which was greatly appreciated.

It’s a family owned company. They were very sweet. The guy checked the things that were wrong with the washing machine and discussed whether or not it was appropriate for me to add that on. I did that and I felt that he was fair. The only thing that I disliked was that I had asked them to pick up something and they had left it lying on the floor. Otherwise, they were very nice. Overall, they were excellent. Their price was fair and the quality of work was excellent. They were very responsive, punctual and professional. I would use them again in the future.

He did a very thorough job and gave me some great advice on how I could order a part for my microwave and replace it myself. I couldn't have been more pleased.
