Pool service recommended this company after determining that the pump is functioning well. They performed all types of diagnostics to determine the cause of the clog, cleaned it. Explained in details why it happens and how to avoid this type of things from happening

I was on the inspection period, trying to buy my current house. Since it was a old house we were recommended to perform a hydrostatic test to make sure there was no leak on the drain system. We didn't plan this ahead of time and it was difficult to get same day service from other plumbing companies. We were recommended American Leak Detection and they responded right away. They were at the house in less than one hour. Will and his partner were very gentle and professional. They performed the job and also provided an estimate for other minor repairs.

Our house was built in the 60's and the cast iron pipes under the house had pratically collapsed. We had them replaced with PVC pipes that went around the house and connected to the concrete pipes leading to the city sewer. It involved some tunnelling under the house and connecting pipes, and quite a bit of removal of concrete and flagstones. They did a good job; however, they did not show up on time and no one person was always responsible for the work.

Not as expected. We are learning things about swimming pool problems. Ten years earlier the same company demonstrated dye flows and leak probelems were easily resolved. However, this time, 5/28/2009, the employee, Matthew, could not see any dye flows that at that time explained the daily loss of an inch a day. We saw no pressure loss in the return lines. His comment was the leak could be from structural issues. After several months of trying to figure out the problem, we decided to get quotes to remodel the pool hoping that plaster and epoxy would fix and seal any structural problems. A pool contractor providing an estimate, Gary Johnson of AAA Pool Plastering, advised that he thought I didn't get my money's worth from the pool detection company and should talk to them again. The supervisor, Tim, after some scheduling delays and rainy times came out and took a look on November 2nd. He showed me dye leaking at two return lines. The crack in the pool was not leaking. Tim fixed the return line leaks for $225. After another period of rain a month later we saw the pool continuing to lose water, not the inch a day but still three eights of an inch a day using a bucket test. Tim came out again in December with a level/pressuer instrument and more epoxy. Rain prevented the use of the intrument. Tim epoxied an area at the skimmer. That did not resolve the water loss. I called again over the holidays, letting them know the pool was still leaking. The response I received from Rick, office manager, owner, I'm not sure, was to pay $275 for additional skimmer work and if that didn't work, another $350 for an additional leak detection effort getting into the water, pressurizing the return lines and filter, and observing dye. At this point, I don't want to throw more money away chasing something that can't be identified for a quoted price. The jury is still out, whether we use these folks ever again. We plan to talk to other leak detection companies or pool remodeling contractors. Water is expensive and it's a resouce, like money, that you don't want going down the drain. The technician, John, was completely unfamiliar with the pool equipment, and had to call to ask several questions. He did manage to perform the test, put forgot to reopen a valve that sends the water to the backwash. Once this error was discovered by our regular pool company, the technician refused to admit his mistake. It took repeated calls to the managers of the local office to get any type of resolution, which ended up being nothing. This company is obviously more interested in protecting and defending their employees than they are with customer service. I would never recommend this company to anyone. The company responded below with a simple "we don't do business in Dallas". The house that they performed the service on was in Houston, where they do business, albeit very poorly.

It went very well. Their employee arrived on time and was very professional. I only used them to find the location of the leak. Although they gave me a quote to repair the leak, I made the repair myself; I thought they were a bit pricey on the repair quote.

We had been having some problems with out pool that was leaking. American leak came out and gave us an estimate, they were too high for us but they were able to refer us to someone who was more affordable.

They were fairly priced and guaranteed their work. I also liked that they would call before they came, did everything they said they would and were speedy in diagnosing the problem and fixing it.
