Do not use this company for your home appraisal. He uses comps that are on the low side instead of doing the opposite. His report came out at $280,000 while the mortgage company's appraiser came out to $294,000. almost 5% difference . He refused to give me a refund. I have filed a claim with the USPAP.
Description of Work: I needed an appraisal to sell or re-finance my house, I was doing my due diligence. They send an appraiser Mr. Julius Frankeny (apparently he is the President of Aegis).

It sounds as if you still do not understand that the results of ALL appraisals are opinions and not facts, despite our efforts. There have been numerous published articles on this, which you can find online. I have even tried to help you further by providing additional appraisal review services at no charge in order to help explain why two appraisers may reach different opinions on their value conclusions, highlighting the potential pitfalls your mortgage lending appraiser may have missed when reaching their value conclusion. Rest assured we have followed every protocol as issued by the TALCB, TREC, USPAP, and all laws regulating the real estate and real estate appraisal industries, and have been upfront with you about this process from the beginning.
