Very efficient and upbeat service. We really appreciated that the job was begun and finished without days in between. High quality work, punctual and pleasant to be around. Our dog took a special liking to the business owner and looked forward to seeing him!

Firm responded quickly, arrived on time, and completed job quickly and thoroughly.

The piping went well but when I tried to brief Allen on how American Standard wanted the tub installed he said, "This isn't my first rodeo." Fine, I left him to his devices. The manufacturer says the tub should be supported in a bed of mortar. For the first go Allen troweled a layer of thin set mortar with a notched trowel like one would do installing ceramic or porcelain tile. Unfortunately, the bottom of the tub sits a good 1 1/2 - 2 inches above the floor, so that didn't work. We called him back and he hurriedly prepared a couple of gallons of thin set, poured it onto the slab floor, and set the tub in place, this time using construction adhesive to stick the tub to the framing. After he left I checked and there's still a good half inch space between the thin set and the tub bottom. We fought about who should have to pay for the mortar and when we reluctantly agreed to buy the needed supplies he promised to schedule us yesterday. Still no word from him and no schedule. I may have to hire someone else to come in and fix Allen's mess.

Not well. My daughter and son-in-law hired him, his estimate did not spell out that hardware would not be included with the french doors, thus he wanted payment above and beyond for the hardware. The door frame was set in with improper shims forcing the frame to bow. Their paint job on the door is poor. They had my son-in-law buy the paint and did not tell this novice that he needed to buy primer as well as the paint. They did not prep the wood well, sanding, before painting without primer. The end result is that the door is not smooth to the touch - Alan blames this on that the door was ready to go upon his purchase. The door needs to be sanded down again and repainted and the frame rehung with no bow. I had a conversation with Alan and he started to come around on repairs, but then since I could not meet with him that morning, I have construction management experience, he deferred till another time. We still do not have a time to meet on site. This cavalier attitude is likely due to my daughter paying the bill in full along with additional unspecified charges, Stay away from this company. We will endeavor to work out something, but unless he schedules a meet up. The job was on Sweet Lullaby in Spring Branch.

I appreciate Alan discovering problems with original house construction where flashing had not been used next to gable and roof that was causing the gable and fascia to rot out. He knew how to correct the problem. The work was well-done in a timely manner. Everything was finished as quoted: caulked and painted. Price included Steel door (not cheap) for pump house and everything else except paint and door handles. I feel Alan is knowledgeable, does a good job so I will hire him again.

I made contact using the number on Angie's list on Aug 27th and told him my issue with the garage. I was asked to take pictures and send them to him via text along with my e-mail and address which I promptly did. On the evening of Aug 29th I was texted back with a quote. The following morning I replied to his text requesting to proceed with the work. Several days passed and I didn't hear anything so I sent another text on Sept 5th indicating that I wanted to hire him for the work. I received a response the same day indicating that he would get me on the schedule. That was 8 days ago and I still haven't heard anything back. I contacted someone else for a quote yesterday, they physically came to my house to look at the problem and gave me an immediate quote. They are coming out today to fix it.

Alan and his helper did a excellent job. The job was completed quickly and efficiently.

It went very well! He got all the work done in 1 day. Bathroom looks great, and the baseboards match perfectly (except they're cleaner than the old baseboards, lol). Not only would I recommend, I'm hiring him again to do a bigger job.

Contacted Alan with an email call for help on Angie's List. Alan responded within 20 min requesting more details of the issue. Sent him photos of the blocked vent on the roof and received a quote in 10 min. Quote included not just removing the screen causing the problem and clearing the roof vent, but a thorough cleaning of the dryer, the dryer vent attached to the external vent and a cleaning down to the dryer from from the roof vent. And most importantly, he was able to be on the job within an hour. Awesome! When Alan arrived he confirmed what was required and set to work with his helper. Moved washer and dryer out of the way, disconnected dryer vent to wall, went on the roof and removed the screen blocking the roof vent, confirmed the flapper inside was fully functional, noticed the roof vent was somewhat constricted adding to the blockage problem and reshaped it to be more efficient, cleaned down from the roof vent and up from the dryer vent, vacuumed out the dryer, reconnected and put every thing back in its appointed place. Then he started the dryer, went back on the roof and confirmed it was venting properly. You'd be surprised how many contractors don't do the final step of checking their work before they leave. Alan and his helper were efficient, fast, extremely courteous and careful working in the small laundry room to prevent damaging the walls and cabinets. We'd hire him and his team again.

They were awesome - I called the day before and they showed up on-time with 3 guys and completed everything in 20 minutes. I have no idea how they were able to get it done so quickly and it looks perfect.

very well. The 3 workmen showed up on time, went directly to work, and accomplished all of the tasks in about 2 hrs. The work was high quality, and everything was clean and tidy when they left.

Alan and his team did an awesome job and took great care of us! He answered our call and immediately came to see us (on his day off) to conduct an estimate and start the job. Everything looks like new and all the other jobs were done perfectly! Alan and the team cleaned everything and even disposed of the large boxes from the chandeliers and ceiling fan for us. I highly recommend Alan and the team for any home contractor needs in TX Hill Country!

Great guy and went pretty well. 95% of the job went well but didn't ever fix the mess ups. Drywall strip from tape and some messed uo paint.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! If you have a RELO punch list I cannot imagine calling anyone else. He took the inspector check list I emailed, came to view the issues at my home, provided a quote, came ASAP so I could close on my home, and brought 2 trucks of materials to knock out every job I had remaining on my list within a crazy 3 day period. The team of 5-6 people was professional and deployed to attack every issue called out by the inspector. Alan even found a few things that the inspector did not catch and repaired those as well. I would say that 99.9% of the work was to perfection with only 1 area of improvement to call out. After replacing a light switch, the light switch plate at our entry was damaged and cracked when it was placed back on. I would have liked Alan to tell me he cracked it and glued it but would then bring a NEW replacement when he had a chance. HOWEVER, for 3-4 dollars versus the incredible work they did, I will just go get a new one at Home Depot sand replace it myself. Alan was great and he was able to complete the job in an hour. the repair looks better then ever before, he cleaned up after him self and made sure a was my wife and I were both happy with his work.

Called at around 10am Alan said he could swing by in the afternoon. He showed up around 5PM. Gave me an estimate started work and was done by 6PM. Great job I am very pleased.

The job was done by ACB Services ( including the owner Alan ) over the course of two days. The first day, while they arrived a half hour late, they did a fair job repairing and repainting the cracks in the ceiling. The second day, however, not even close. After completing the work the quality told me all I need to know about this company and the owner, Alan. There is a reason his company has received several poor ratings and I was unfortunate enough to experience first hand why. For starters, they arrived over an hour late with no explanation as to why. Next, they prepared the walls for retexturing and repainting. The texturing was to match the other walls that needed no repairs. They obviously and admittedly did not know what they were doing! You might be asking yourself admittedly? Yes, Alan told me they didn't know how to retexture but could do something that would be comparable. That was a complete and utter lie. The work was shoddy at best and that's being generous. Moreover, they clearly didn't know how to paint and blend it to the already painted surface. In addition, they missed several spots. Not only that, in one spot it literally looks as if someone took a can of spray paint and covered a section of the wall. So now I have a massive spot on my wall that is much darker than the original color. After the work was completed, I could tell it didn't look right. When I brought that to Alan's attention, he told me not to worry that it just needed to dry and it would look a lot different in the morning. Well, morning came and I was met with an eyesore so I immediately called him. He asked me if I was going to be home all day and when I told him I would. He assured me he would come by and take a look at it. Guess what? He never showed up. By this point I had it. I called my bank and sure enough he had already cashed my check. By then, I knew I had been taken. The work ACB Services did speaks for itself and the poor reviews back it up. I am very disappointed the owner didn't come back and at least try to right what he and his company messed up in the first place. I strongly urge anyone reading this review to consider the alternatives before agreeing to allow ACB services to do your repairs.
