Description of Work: Becky and her guys are masters at landscape design. Her team designed and create a beautiful garden at my home in Spicewood. They terraced the garden using boulders and organic compost. It is magnificant.

Description of Work: This is the second time we used Tropical Accents. Both times have been very good experiences. Becky gives accurate estimates, they show up as scheduled and do a great job. I will look no further for any patio, porch or landscaping needs. This company has been a breath of fresh air because it seems like most companies do not know how to do things in a professional manner any more.This job was topping existing tile front porch with stone and extending steps. A few years ago, Tropical Accents built a stone patio with a fire pit. It was just like we envisioned. When it rains, the water drains perfectly. We have had many, many compliments on the patio and most recently on the front porch.

Description of Work: landscaping of undeveloped lot: tree and weed removal, installation of planting beds and patio, ground cover

Description of Work: This company did not end up doing any work for us. I rarely write reviews, especially bad ones, because frankly, I am lazy. I thought I would be remiss if I did not inform possible future clients of this business. My dates are fuzzy because I really didn't anticipate a problem. The first problem occurred when we tried to schedule an estimate. It seemed like Lindsey (the one who does this apparently) was simply very difficult to schedule an appointment with. Apparently, this is not a priority. Then when we did finally get her to the house, she arrived late. She appologized and explained that she had another job at a daycare facility up north. Mmmm...I thought she owned this business with her mother. Why is she working somewhere else and giving the landscaping business a low priority? Lindsey walked around our yard with us and we told her what we would like and she made some suggestions and took measurements. This was on a Wednesday night (I think) and she told us that she probably would need a week to draw up a plan but could get us an estimate earlier than that. Well, a week came and passed and no word. Finally on the following Saturday, I called and left a message at the business number. Lindsey got back to us, several days later, and said that she just realized that her emails to us were getting bounced back. I don't know what kind of email system she is using but when my outgoing messages bounce back to me, it is immediately. Anyway, sounded like another excuse. She confirmed the email address and still no word. She did promise to get us a plan on the following Wednesday, one or two weeks after initally promised. I can't remember exactly. So I kept checking my front door on Wednesday night and by the time I went to bed (around 10) there was nothing there. On Thursday morning, I checked and it was there. Hallelujah! But still no numbers. Finally, Lindsey's mother who is the co-owner of this business, told us that she would snail mail us the estimate and a couple days later we got it. Bottom line, we begged and pleaded for things that they had promised us. I cannot recommend this company unless you don't care about punctuality and responsiveness and like to hear lots of excuses.

Description of Work: Got a quote on services. They were very responsive, but I am not ready to do the work yet. I will definitely call them when the time is right.

Description of Work: Design and construction of rock walkways, rock pillars for a gate, cover areas with river rock, repair house concrete underpinning, and do rock borders around flowerbeds.

Description of Work: We asked several lawn service companies for estimates and to call us. This one was prompt and went out to the property and gave a very fair price and called us and was willing to do this for our clients who have moved. We would gladly use them again

Description of Work: Becky at Tropical Accents listened to all of our needs/wants. They did an amazing job. They constucted a retaining wall on our property. Now we can use the space for my kids to play. They also moved/placed some rocks in the front of my house.

Description of Work: I have been using the services of Tropical Accents for my landscaping work for many years now. They cut my lawn about 2 weeks ago.

Description of Work: They trim, edge, and plant trees and plants in our yard. They come out to our house every 2 weeks. Their charge is $20 an hour per man.
