Green Earth Landscapes

We were beginning to have some serious issues with the Sedgroot. They were able to rid us of the Sedgroot and after the fertilizing, our lawn is now a deep, healthy green. It looks great! I would highly recommend.

The crew did a great job. They sprayed the weeds one day, then they came back another day and pulled the remaining weeds out of the garden. They communicated well and worked hard. They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable too. If it was easier to schedule I would have them take over much of the work in my large yard, but it took a while and a few calls to get a response from the company the first time. The next time I called for a different service, I did not got a call back.

They are dependable polite and all speak perfect english. They use organic products which I am interested in because I have a dog and Grandchild that I do not want playing around insecticides. As all landscape companies, one has to stay on top of things because with so many clients they can forget your personal preferences. I had been ignored on a few things for a while, and until I pushed, did not get results. Now I am awaiting a plan for a new project. This is a reputable company that is reliable, albiet a bit pricey. But I'd rather have pricey with a good product and environmentally conscious than not.

For the most part I was happy with their service. It was obvious that the crews were in a hurry every visit but I was also happy with the price. I figured that the service was adequate for the price I was paying. Their billing to my credit card was no problem and Karen Hoffman was responsive to my emails. In Nov of 2014 I inquired about reducing frequency of service and also requested that they trim back some invasive bamboo shoots coming in from the neighbors yard. A man named Jason Jones inadvertently responded to me rather than Karen with the following e-mail which I found very disrespectful. While I understand the e-mail wasn't intended for me, I also was not happy with Mr. Jones' attitude. As such I terminated service with them and would caution my neighbors before doing business with Green Earth Landscaping of Austin TX. Called and left a message that I was interested in hiring Green Earth. No response. Emailed Green Earth to inquire about services, and gave a detailed list of what I wanted done. Several days later I got a response of "Where do you live?". Sent an email telling where I lived although I had listed my address in my email. No response. No reply. No nothing. Does that sound professional?

Jason showed promise initially and is a nice person. From there this is what happened: 1. He subcontracted our job out to a subcontractor who showed up twice a week for 2 hours a day. 2. The job that should have taken 3 days (by his own estimate) took six weeks. 3. The subcontractor didn't install the correct plants (which we were charged for). 4. Jason, while apologetic, did nothing to remedy the situation. 5. He came out about 4 months after the job was "completed" apologized in person and promise to fix the things that were done wrong. 6. A month after that, he had yet to make any progress or even contact us (had not fixed the issues). Sadly, we cannot recommend him.

Their service was fine. I will use them again in the future.

He was very responsive to the initial inquiry he mentioned that he did not always get emails from Angies List he didn't know why. So we communicated via gmail. He came out to look at the property and seemed very knowledgeable. I wish that there was an option to say I might use him in the future instead of yes or no. I never received and estimate from him. I contacted him again and he sent a note stating things had gotten a bit crazy but never sent the estimate with his reply. I needed to make a decision so I went with someone else and never did get the estimate from him.

Jason and his crew do a terrific job. The new bed he put in looked terrific last year and this year it looks as though everything is coming back after the winter. The lawn service is great - they handle much more than mowing and take care of the shrubs, the insects, and the fertilizing. They even analyze and adjust the sprinkler system to make sure it's efficient. I've been very pleased with their work and will continue to employ them.

dont know yet. vendor who said we were scheduled for week of 14 april never called again to tell us as said to let us know what day/time that week. we've yet to have our garden installed!!! or a call to reschedule.

Jason impressed me when he came to give his bid - he measured, gave great ideas, kept my budget tight, and followed up on every little question and request I had. After hired, he and his crew worked hard and continued to impress. I'm very happy with the work, materials and price. I highly recommend these guys!!!

I contacted Green Earth for a quote for my yard.I emailed the provider on 3/15/2014 for a quote for my lawn. Jason Jones returned my email on 3/19/2014 requesting my address and zip and we set up a meeting for Wednesday. He came by looked at my yard and understood everything I wanted. He said he would have a quote back to me in a couple of days. Fast forward a week and still no quote so I contacted him about it. He said he would have the quote to me that night. He did. However, the services he placed on the contract schedule did not align with his quote. For example, he listed he would trim my shrubs 9 times a year, I wanted twice a year; He would fertilize shrubs 2 times a year (Feb & Oct) but his "Total" line showed 3 times; Listed weeding shrubs and trees 2 times per month and then "totals" 12; Listed haul off of grass clipping 33 times per year (even though he was going to cut the yard 43 times) but on the quote says service is without bagging. The whole thing didn't make sense and appeared he threw it together in a hurry. So I emailed him and asked him about these discrepancies, listing each one in the email and never received a reply. I called his cell phone a few days later and his voice mail announcement said not to leave a message but to email him. I already did that with no success so had no intention of doing it again. Either you want new business or you don't. I contacted a four 5 star landscape companies and told each one that I found them on Angies List, hoping that that would encourage better service. 2 of the 4 companies contacted me, visited my property and provided a bid. Green Earth Landscaping was one that did contact me. But failed to follow through when requested for more information and clarification of their bid.

They did a great job. The price is reasonable. He was very responsive. He was very punctual. They are professional.

They come when they say and extremely responsive to any issues or emails I send.

It's been good. He showed up on time. He's knowledgeable about what he's doing.

they were punctual, creative, and reasonable. Although I ultimately decided not to do the project, I would call them again in the future if I needed their work.

I had a wonderful experience using Jason. He was very responsive, super professional and completed all the work and then some. We just LOVE our yard. When he first came out to talk about what to do, I had my own ideas, but I liked how he suggested better ways to do things. During the process I added on some tasks and quickly adjusted the schedule to accommodate me. For example, our irrigation system was so old and outdated and hard to use. He went and purchased a new system, installed it and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. I also really love the drip system that was installed for our plants. Such a smart and efficient way of watering! I wouldn't have thought of that! Another task I added on was cleaning up the area around my husband's shed. I'm so glad I took his suggestion with the materials to use. The yard wouldn't have looked as good if I didn't do something with the shed area. I will be hiring Jason again to do future projects. Also, it is VERY hard to impress my husband and he was so surprised. The best part, my husband and kids were out of town when the work was being done and Jason finished the job right before they came home to surprise them! It was awesome! Thanks again and I look forward to future projects!

Jason contacted me promptly after I sent him an e-mail requesting an estimate. He came at the date and time promised and sent me a written proposal in a couple of days. He explained that he had many jobs already scheduled so it would be a while before he could do the job for me. On the job date Jason and his crew did the job in a few hours and left the entire area clean when done, not even any rocks or dirt piles left on the other yard areas. Jason was nice enough to give me some lessons on some pest grass and also identified some plants for me. I was very impressed by him and his crew. Yes, I will use him in the future if I have any landscaping needs.

I'm using their services currently. Jason was the only provider out of three that I contacted who actually showed up when he said he would. The guys do great work. The yard is a work in progress, hadn't been really cared for by previous owners, but I'm seeing results already. Highly recommended.

Jason and his team started this work AHEAD of schedule and completed the project in short order. After using a large company for years and having a less than attractive yard I'm very pleased with our progress and appreciate the individualized attention. The lawn is green and lovely, weeds are under control. The're doing a great job. I'm looking forward to a long relationship and a lovely yard this year.

.Dealing with Jason and Al was the most positive experience I have had with a contractor. I think the standout attribute of Green Earth Landscaping is "integrity". They are detail oriented and take the time to explain and discuss options - they make you a partner in the cost v. benefit discussion and do respect and manage to a budget. The other part of the "integrity" equation is that they do not take shortcuts - planting beds are properly prepared so that longer term results will follow and of course they were prompt and professional in getting all the work done.I will be using them for weekly yard maintenance going forward and I feel the partnership is off to a fantastic start.
