Initial visit was comprehensive which indicated monthly fee quote for this service. The next two weeks no debri was skimmed. When we called, told skimming not included in “low” price quote but since we misunderstood they would add that to our service as a courtesy. After 3 weeks realized the pump basket never emptied even though check list provided indicates technician did this, which is a lie. Today company requested pictures taken shortly after tech left to prove basket compacted with debri. One hour later we received an automated call stating our fees were misquoted and to call in for updated quote based on services required.
Description of Work: Weekly pool service including empty ALL baskets, empty pool sweep bag, skip debris off top of pool, brush pool, maintain correct chemical balance by testing and adding as needed.

I cannot recommend Noah's Pool Service in Southlake, TX. They are horrible at communicating if there is any unusual situation. A small part needed replacement, a backwash valve, and they didn't show up on the day scheduled and didn't let me know. When they tried to change it the filtration system stopped working entirely and they did not tell me. The women who answer the phone say it is not the tech's responsibility to communicate with customers, but the office. But the office is terrible too. They just want to get rid of you. So this morning the woman said she would email me when the tech was coming back. Nothing. So I called and another woman answered and said tomorrow. I would love to say all this is the exception, but it is not. It is a consistent problem with Noah's - lack of communication. And their weekly pool specialists constantly turn over. Two of them were baffled by the locked door on the child fence around the pool and had to ask me how to open it. Another kid could not figure out how to reattach the hose for the bottom cleaner. The staff and owner have no professional pride or shame. Do not hire this company.

I have been using Noah’s Pool Service for about a month. The individual that cleaned the pool caused problems each time. Before she serviced each Monday, everything was running perfectly. After she was done, nothing was working correctly. On her first visit, she broke the vacuum leaf canister, forcing me to buy a new one. On all of her visits, in emptying the leaf basket for the vacuum, she did not fill the line back up with water before reconnecting it, letting a lot of air into the pump each time. Therefore, it was running almost completely dry the entire day until I could get home to fix it. She would also adjust all of the valves, so that between the dry system and the random valve settings I had to pay $150 for a service visit from the company that built the pool, to see what damage she had caused. Calls to the office received no action other than saying they’d look into it. Finally, last week, I was able to watch the individual work via Ring, and saw her allowing the system to fill with air and then leave while the water flow was obviously struggling. I called the company who sent her back to fix it, but after 15 minutes it was only getting worse. I attempted to talk her through correcting the problem via the Ring speaker, but she was unable to follow the directions. I eventually had to tell her to turn it off so that it wasn’t running on air all day. I reached out to the office again and this time the owner returned my call. At first he seemed reasonable when I explained what happened. I outlined the issues, explained the costs that I had incurred because of his employee, and asked that I be reimbursed and that a different technician service my house from now on. The next morning, he sent a service tech to look at the pool equipment. They immediately said that it was not their fault and that everything just happened to go bad each time the cleaner visited. I have videos showing that it’s working before each of her visits, and not working afterwards. They deny that she caused the problems or any damage. This is the best part. The owner said he was going to call the tech that was at the house and try to work a solution, but accidentally called me back instead. In that call he said something close to “This guy is blaming us and is really difficult to work with, but we don’t want bad reviews so we have to humor him.” So they’re not only trying to avoid blame for something their technician caused, but the OWNER admitted that he only cares about avoiding bad reviews. They did, in the end, agree to reimburse me for the expenses caused by their technician. Whether because they actually feel responsible for the costs (unlikely, given the comments above) or think it would prevent a bad review after what the owner said to me (most probably) is hard to tell. I doubt they’d ever admit that they caused damage or made mistakes. Update: Despite agreeing to send a different cleaner, they sent the same one again, and then made up an excuse based off of a lie. They also did not reimburse me the full amount as they originally agreed. Finally, they charged my credit card for the next month's service, without my permission. I did not have to pay until the end of the month, and I did not agree to autopay. They just decided to charge my card, probably because they knew I was about to cancel service. According to Texas law, this could definitely be considered credit card fraud. They’ve probably been getting away with it for years. Avoid this company like the plague. The absence of basic knowledge in its employees, incredible lack of professionalism by its owner, and financial actions of questionable legality should concern anyone that considers using this service.

I’ve had them clean my pool for about 5 years. In the last 6 months they’ve started having serious problems. I’m pretty sure they sabotaged my equipment and now they show up and don’t clean the pool. I’ve had to complain every week. I just got back from a 6 day trip and my pool is green!!!! If you value a clean pool, service or your hard earned cash DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! My friend across the street has had the same problem and fired them. Again, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

Pool service was terrible. My husband called them out to take over our pool because he was scheduled to return to work and could no longer up with cleaning and maintenance through the week. We had nothing but problems from the day they started. $300 upfront for a chemical catch up service although the water chemical balance was in range according to Leslies testing. After 3 weeks my husband noticed that the guy who would come out was not shocking the pool weekly. He was young and in hindsight was probably a novice because he would have to call the main office for an approval to shock the pool. This should have been the first sign that we needed to part ways but we went against our better judgement. The filter was cleaned twice and both times the seals were leaking when they reassembled everything. Of course this was “wear and tear” and of course our exense. Then they backwashed the pool and a seal malfunctioned - the technician ignored it and we lost water for a week. We used our neighbors pool guy to fix it in an effort to minimize the water loss. We were losing an inch a day from a 35,000 gallon pool. It baffles me that the technician left without even attempting to notify us or fix the problem. You could clearly hear the backwash going nonstop. The final straw was when the pool water started to smell fishy and build up algae within 24 hours of the cehmical service. We called repeatedly for help, but they addressed our issue by - yes adding more tabs. They still were not shocking the pool and only using conditioner tabs. At one point there were 12 tabs in the pool and the algae and smell were putrid enough to make your stomach churn. We got a severe case of gastroenteritis after swimming one weekend. They suggested that we drain the pool. At that point we let them go - why should I have to drain a pool which was in good balance when I paid you to take over? We’ve taken water samples to 3 pool supply companies and they all agree we have to drain it and start over. They told us that the excesive use of conditioner without shock deranged the chemical balance so significantly, we have no choice. One week after we terminated the service I am left with a pool that reeks of ammonia and is so ladened with algae its well on its way to turing a tainted green color. If you hire them you only have yourself to blame.

Inherited this company from old homeowner. Should have been suspicious since pool was full of leaves and not looking good and Polaris seemed lifeless. Never saw anyone test chemicals and was charged a $35 fee anyone came out to repair anything - in addition to repair costs. (Weekly pool man was not qualified to do any even minor repairs). Took a sample to Leslies, who told me the pool had more than 3x the acid it should have had - especially since it had been drained only 8 months prior for resurfacing. Noahs told me their servicemen did not test for this. Finally threw in the towel and asked for a refund for the last month, which had just started. This took them a good while and another phone call since they claimed they didn't have my credit card information, even though they billed it at the beginning of every month. Long story short - I hired a new pool company, had to have the huge pool completely drained, cleaned, refilled. The new pool man was able to quickly diagnose the Polaris issue and fix it for no additional charge. He is more expensive, but knows what he is doing and now I have a swimming pool instead of a cess pool!

I called about weekly service. They asked me the size of my pool which I did not know, I explained I had no idea about size I had never owned a pool before. I was told I would need to figure out size before I was given a quote. Well I had no problem finding a pool service that came out estimated size and gave me a price quote.. I took their offer and they now service my pool. All Noahs had to do was give me a little advice on how to estimate size and I would have done it as they came as a recommendation from someone I know. By the way my friends have never actually used them. Bottom line make yourself easy to do business with and you get business. Sincerely a 30 year veteran of a service industry.

We were initially very pleased with Noah's service, although we had early misgivings because they do not have a 24-hour emergency number and don't monitor their phones on the weekends. We were told that their employees need to have lives (of course they do!) and that a 24-hour number wasn't practical. Okay..... Sometime in the late fall/winter, Noah's switched our technician without notifying us (not essential, but it would have been nice....). Our new guy broke the inlet attachment for our pool cleaner, and left it lying on the side without telling us. Consequently, the cleaner wouldn't stay plugged in, and it was some time before we realized what had happened (as we weren't using the pool in the winter!). I purchased a replacement part (things do break, after all), and our technician installed it for us. Meanwhile, I noticed that our fountains hardly had any flow any more and that the cleaner had all but stopped moving. Also during this time, I saw that our attached spa was practically empty every morning when the pool kicked on, whereas it used to hold its level. Consequently, we were dumping water out our overflow every night, and having to add water almost every day. Our filter had been cleaned in late December, and by late March the pool was filthy and we didn't understand at the time that: 1) our filters were clogged (low flow, very high pressure), and that we had a leak in our spa. We trusted our technician to monitor our pool and our equipment, and felt very let down. When we realized that our pressure was dangerously high, we turned off the pool and requested service. Noah (the owner) does not provide his phone number to customers, so we began a game of telephone tag, while the pool grew dirtier and dirtier. When we finally talked, Noah indicated that it would be another week before he could get someone out. This was unacceptable, and he suggested that someone could come that Saturday to repair the filter. No one came. No one called. And a couple side notes: 1) our technician was scheduled to come on Thursdays, but began showing up on Fridays, without calling, 2) this company does not leave any information about what they've done or what needs to be done, and 3) when we finally had our filter serviced (by a different company) we found a piece of aluminum foil inside that had been used to jerry-rig what would have been a simple and inexpensive repair. While we started with a squeaky clean pool, we ended with a mess. I do think this was related to our technician, but found Noah to be condescending (when I left messages detailing how we had no flow on the fountains - twice, he left messages telling me to clear the leaves out of my Navigator - twice) and unresponsive. Basically a nice guy, but an unsatisfactory business relationship.

I have been struggling to find a provider to take care of my pool for a reasonable rate. The less expensive providers were inconsistant. Pool turned green several times. The more expensive providers were great, just expensive. Noah's is right in the middle. Good service, reliable, fair price.
Description of Work: This is my 4th pool service provider. Finally, I found someone who does consistent good work. Reliable, and thorough. I have had more expensive providers and cheaper providers, and Noah's is the best. Very pleased with the weekly service. They have been caring for my pool for 3 months now.
