+ -1 moreThey are really good. I've used them twice on two different buildings. I have an insurance agency. After years of helping my customers find roofing contractors, I've never had to question their work or integrity. I don't get any referral fees or anything from them, but I recommend them to pretty much everyone. I just know when they go on the roof, they're going to tell the truth. There are a lot of bad operators in the roofing business. They are one of the few I know I can count on. I probably won't use anyone but Huffacker.

+ -1 moreVery hard to get ahold of this company. They are bad at returning calls when they say they will. It took them 4 days to repair the leak and of course it rained again between that time. Leak was repaired but I was never notified of the completion. I call and ask and they said the guy alrleady came out and fixed it. I said thank you but nobody notified me of it being done. The repair work was done poor and it is now an eye sore. It fixed the problem though so thats good. The problem originated not because of bad weather but because the shingles where laid improperly. Due to the pitch of the roof, shingles should have been rolled not laid to prevent the leak from occuring. Fixed now but I wouldn't use them in the future. The leaked would have never happend if it was done right the first time.
Description of Work: Roof was placed upon purchase and move in to the house. Brand New Roof was placed in Feb 2014 leak occured beginning of April 2014. Leak due to poor work and improper laying of shingles. Causing damage inside my house.

+ -1 moreThey arrived on time, looked at the area, gave an estimate and installed the flashing once we approved the estimate. They have installed flashing on another area of the roof previously. They are very easy to work with and if we have any problems with our roof they are the first people we call. They also made a suggestion concerning our gutters which we will be following through on.
Description of Work: They installed a small section of flashing where there was a small leak from a recent rainstorm.

+ -1 moreLarry Huffaker and his crew were prompt, the work was done as promised for the price promised, and there were no call-backs. Huffaker also previously did a $40,000 roof on my personal residence. Even taking down an old wood roof which is a very messy job, only a couple of inexpensive foundation plantings were damaged. The new roof has been trouble free for over 10 years. I can recommend Huffaker without reservation.

Description of Work: Inspection of condition of roof and gutters during prepurchase home inspection period. Company was highly recommended and trusted by realtor for honesty and reputation. Inspection was prompt and written report with photos was provided in a timely manner, so as to allow time to negotiate with seller over findings.

+ 0 moreI had a lot of work done on my home including new roof, gutters, and painting of the outside of the home. Huffaker took care of the roof and gutters and I utilized another contractor for the painting (recommended by Huffaker). I had my house painted first on advice of Huffaker and once I had that completed I notified Huffaker to start the roof. They were very prompt, coming out within a few days and did a very good job. I did notice multiple shingles with some small damage on my garage but Huffaker was very prompt to come out and take care of it. Once the roof was completed the new gutters were installed and wow does it look great. We are the original owners of the home and are very happy in that it looks like a new house!
Description of Work: Had a new roof and new gutters installed on my house through Huffaker. The gutters were installed by another contractor that was utilized by Huffaker.

Description of Work: Recently purchased a home. My realtor highly recommended a particular employee at Huffaker to evaluate the roof deficiencies identified during the home inspection. The person came by as scheduled, completed the estimate, and reviewed everything professionally. Days later I called the office to schedule an appointment. I was informed the person who prepared the estimate is on vacation. I asked to wait until he returned. A week after he was to return I called the office to ask when he could come make the repairs. I was told someone else had already made the repairs and I will be receiving an invoice in the mail. I climbed onto the roof and verified the repairs had been made. It would have been nice to know when the repairman was coming and to have had a face-to-face conversation when he finished. Work quality is satisfactory. Customer service is lacking. Hopefully, the next time will be better.

+ -1 moreHuffaker took a few days to respond to my email for scheduling but once scheduled they showed up on time. The tech thought he was replacing a turnine fan thus did not have the correct electric fan to replace mine with. While he was there, we talked about electric vs solar and I decided to go with solar. He arranged to get the fan and install the next day. While here, he hammered down about 15 feet of loose flashing at no charge. he did not collect a payment but told me i would receive a bill, which I did about 3 weeks later and paid the quoted amount. The vent still works.
Description of Work: Huffaker replaced my burnt out electric attic vent with a solar powered vent.

+ -1 moreOverall the job was done quickly and effiecientlly. Alberto did not give me a bill right away but said the company would send it later. When the bill came we were being charged $180 instead of the $130 as Alberto had said. I called up the company and the lady on the other end admitted she misread Alberto's quote of $130 as $180. She rectified the mistake and sent the correct bill within a week.
Description of Work: With gusty winds and rain our fireplace started leaking water. Our area was expected to get rain for two more days. Huffaker Roofing came out the same day, within two hours of my calling them. Alberto was a friendly man who climbed up the roof and took pictures of the chimney where it was leaking and explained to me what the problem was and how he would fix it. He gave me a rough estimate of how much it would cost and on my nod finished the job within the hour.

So I called them back to get some things verified on the estimate and they told me they would call me back to help me with that. They never returned my calls. I finally told them to forget it and I went with someone else.
Description of Work: I had them out for an estimate in December. At first they didn't return my calls, and when they did they acted like the job was too small.

+ -1 moreWe had a roof that leaked during a high-wind rainstorm. We had one company come out and say we should file a claim with our insurance for a new roof. Then we joined Angie's List and chose Huffaker to come out and give a second opinion. Someone came out and told us what we needed and quoted me a price. They did the work within a week, and we got the bill exactly as we had been quoted. My only issue (not really a complaint) was that they took a couple of days longer to come out than what they originally told me. However, when I called, I was able to get an update and confirm that I was still on the agenda. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. I did not put a rating for the quality due to the fact that it has not rained hard since the work was completed.
Description of Work: Replaced and sealed 5 ridge shingles. Sealed all metal stacks.

This was a small job but well done in a timely manner and quality materials. The house painter we used after this work commented on what a quality job had been done with this repair. Two recommendations for the price of one.
Description of Work: We needed rotted wood replaced on the overhang of the house which was caused by water leaking onto the wood from the roof area around electrical access pole on the house. The roof tiles had to be "lifted" and the repairs made, then the roof tiles replaced.

He did get on the roof, but he didn't bring anyone with him so my husband had to get up in the attic with him while the guy stayed on the roof so he should of had an assistant for that. He was very knowledgeable and he knew about attic ventilation. When I called to make an appointment they wouldn't make me an appointment they just called me the day they could come out and it would usually be within a week. They did come out when they said they would.

Office said they would check and get back to me that day Waited another 10 days for a reply that did not arrive. Then Huffaker called and said they would be there the next day. The work was then done promptly and any loose debris removed.
Description of Work: Replaced missing roof shingles and renailed loose shingles.

+ -1 moreWe gave them a call and were advised by the company, as well as two other roofing companies, that due to the weather we would have to wait for 2-3 weeks at a minimum for someone to come out and give us a quote. Huffaker came out a week later and gave us a quote of $350-$400 to repair the hole in the "Dead Valley" and replace the Storm Guard. They arrived approximately one week later and repaired the damage, replaced bricks on the chimney, took pictures, and left it as clean as it was before they arrived. Everyone at Huffaker was professional and courteous. We were quite surprised to see that the cost of the actual repair was slightly less than the quote itself! It was the most timely, professional and honest job we have experienced as home owners.
Description of Work: We noticed a stain on the ceiling in the garage and some water on the floor of the garage. Huffaker replaced the "Dead Valley", Storm Guard, Converter, and some of the bricks on the chimney to fix the hole that was causing the water damage.
