They made a real huge mess. We had an emergency in the house and the bedroom had a concrete floor which was painted so we wanted a real floor to be installed. They came in and leveled the floor and installed the wood which was not a real wood. They put the trim in. They did it in our bedroom and our bathroom. When they installed it everything looked good. The product was a shoddy product as there is a big hole in the wood. The wood is cracking up. We are finding the holes here and there. The actual product is peeling up. I went in there because they were having some kind of special pricing. The floor should last more than 2 years before it shows a wear.
Description of Work: Home Depot Floor Store installed the floor in our bedroom and bathroom.

This was the very worst experience with any home improvement I've ever had and I have owned 5 homes in my lifetime. They were pleasant to begin with but as the mess continued I felt they were not as understanding as they should have been. After the first floor was removed, I had to live with cement in my kitchen and family room for weeks before the second floor was installed which also was a disaster. With 3 floor removals, my baseboards were a mess. On the last removal the workers put a hole in my family room wall. I will never deal with Home Depot again. My daughter-in-law suggested The Carpet Broker in Colleyville. The very day floor #3 was removed, I went and picked out hardwood flooring and it was installed within 2 days. It is a beautiful floor and I am very pleased with it and Mike Harris at Carpet Brokers.
Description of Work: Had 3 wood laminate floors installed and removed due to major flaws. The first floor was improperly installed on Jan.2,2006 and began warping immediately. After numerous phone calls and several visits by various Home Depot people, it was removed and a second floor installed in March. It had numerous streaks across the laminate. No one at Home Depot could determine the cause. It too, had to be removed. Floor #3 was installed May 23. Same problem. I then was at the end of my patience. I asked Home Depot to upgrade me to a better floor and no cost to me since I had been living with a huge mess and upset. Julie, a Plano manager, refused an upgrade. I had them remove floor #3 and asked for my full refund. They did credit my account within 2 days and I was glad to be finished dealing with them. I could name at least 10 people with whom I had to talk and deal with during this time including a rep in Atlanta.
