+ -1 moreWe are replacing windows in the home. We researched several retailers for quality, cost and install. We were very pleased with all the companies. Unfortunately, we selected another company. This company had a good product, but the price was the highest of all. In the end, it came down to quality. We definitely recommend this company to others, the sales person was knowledgeable and professional. We cannot comment on install.

+ -1 moreWe had three different bids done by A rated providers on Angie's List. While all were competent and professional, we went with Clarity Windows based on their reputation and bid. A representative came out at the scheduled date ant time (on time) and did a walk through of our home with us. We discussed what we wanted, and he did all the measurements. The windows are custom made and built to specific dimensions. He told us that the company would call us each week to keep us up to date on where the windows were in the building process. Sure enough, someone called every Friday afternoon to let us know what stage of build they were in. Once the windows were all completed, a representative called to set up a date and time for install. Pete came out on the expected day and time and got to work. I was surprised that just one man could handle the big windows, but he did! Pete did half of the windows one day and half the next. Everything went very smoothly, and we couldn't be happier with the product. The noise level has dramatically dropped, and the amount of sunlight glaring in has also been reduced. I can't feel any drafts or heat through the windows at all. They look wonderful.

+ -1 moreEverything about Clarity windows was excellent, except perhaps the salesman, Bill, who did not make some of the warranty information clear. This information was later clarified to our satisfaction by the owner of the company, Chris Pollard. The installation crew was high skilled and exceedingly competent. There was not a doubt in our minds that they were doing things right. We feel fortunate to have had them as our installers. The windows themselves are excellent...the difference in temperature of the the rooms (before and after installation) is striking. We are very glad to have made this purchase. The price was higher than other companies, but these are excellent windows. Clarity cares about their customers, and the owner was very responsive to our concerns. Highly recommend Clarity Windows.

We did tell them at the end of the estimate that we were going to get another estimate and they brought the cost down if we chose them at that point. We did because of all the great reviews on Angies LIst and the sales person did a great job.

+ -1 moreI got 2 quotes for 3 windows on the back of my home, the first was Statewide Remodeling $5900.00 for their windows. Then clarity came out, they are very professional they didn't waist 4 hours of my time like Statewide did, and came in $4000.00 less. I know that sounds unbelievable but it is absolutely true!! I was extremely happy with the install and the product and I am having 6 more windows done this month. I would recommend these guys to my own mother, and feel confident that she would be in good hands!

+ -1 moreWe found Clarity windows on Angie List and as a result of their other impressive reviews, we did not see any reason to look elsewhere or obtain any additional quotes. Sean came over and explained the different options available, showed us samples and demonstrated the features and benefits. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He was not pushy, which we appreciated. We accepted the contract and the windows were measured and ordered. We received weekly updates on the status of our order and when the windows were in the installation was scheduled. Corey (our installer) was incredible! He was courteous, efficient and took great care of protecting the floor and furniture on the inside. I asked him (which I thought to be an unreasonable request on my part) to please be careful of the landscaping that we had just spent a lot of $ on having done. He said that he would do his best, but I realized that since he could not levitate, it was unlikely that there would not be damage. Somehow he managed the impossible and did not in any way damage or upset the landscaping. He worked tirelessly and completed the job of 11 windows in a day and a half. He cleaned up and hauled off everything; leaving everything clean and tidy. We love our new windows, and especially enjoy how clear they are and we can actually see through them.

+ -1 moreIt took us 4 - 6 weeks to talk to 4 - 5 different companies, picked what we wanted, agree on the price etc. The installation itself took 4 days, but considering we replaced about 20 windows on a 2 story home I believe this is expected. As I noted earlier the installation crew was top notch from start to finish. All in all we've been extremely happy with the results and would greatly recommend Clarity Windows.
Description of Work: We replaced all the windows (about 20) in our house and picked Clarity Windows. We did this for comfort, energy savings and appeal reasons. Of all the companies we worked with Clarity Windows was the most helpful, easy to deal with and also provided a few great design ideas for the new windows. All in all Bill did a fantastic job. We picked the Preservation windows which we felt were the best windows for the performance, price and style (we thought they were more user friendly than Andersen) but Clarity Windows carry other windows too I believe. After the installation inspection I was told that a couple of arched bedroom windows couldn't be made a single window and still retain the sliding functionality (as originally Bill thought) but Chris the owner changed the order to 2 windows (one arched, one double-hung) for each at no extra charge which was very nice. Clarity Windows does not ask for a down payment which was unique across all the companies we talked to. Our biggest worry and stress was the window installation based on what we had read online. I was a bit worried that at least in Austin Clarity Windows did sub-contract the installation (although we only dealt with Clarity Windows) - but the installation crew (Dave Adams from A&A Installations) was absolutely top notch and after the first day I knew it would go smoothly. I can't yet comment on the $ energy savings but the house now feel like a different house, and the comfort is just incredible. While the back of the house used to be hot in the afternoon even with a new HVAC system the entire house is now cool and has an even temperature. It doesn't feel like the HVAC has to work much at all. We definitely do not regret doing this upgrade. I picked B for price as we had a lower quote from a local company in town for similarly performing windows but we didn't like the styling nearly as much. Everything else was an A. Bill was great throughout and very accommodating (driving from Bastrop to Austin one evening to meet us).

+ 0 moreI was called each Friday on the status of the production and the installation date. The time frame I was advised of the installer showing up and he was prompt. He explained the actions to be taken. I was originally advised the job would take 3 days, however it was completed in 2 and a half days. The installer was very professional and friendly. I will be calling them back to replace the rest of my doors and windows. Super company from the salesperson to the installer

+ -1 moreOverall good experience. One window did not fit properly, but they discovered it themselves and ordered a new one with no prompting. My two downsides to the whole expeience was the price and the installation. Price was very high - $800+ per window. They are very high quality windows, though. The other downside was the guy installing the windows was a bit on the careless side. He let nails pulled out of the old windows just fall to the ground. As he broke out the glass of the windows being removed he just let the small pieces fly. I have picked up a number of pieces of glass outside, and one inside the bedroom. When he used a saws-all to cut the windowsill he let the dust fly all over the room. He wasn't terrible, but we did have to do a fair amount of cleaning both inside and outside after he left. The bed in the master bedroom was covered in sawdust - we had to strip and wash the spread and sheets before we could sleep there. We are very happy, though. The noise level inside the house has decreased dramatically, the temperature has stopped fluctuating. We are expecting a big difference in our electricity bill.
Description of Work: Replaced all seven windows in our small house from the original single pane aluminum windows to triple pane, all vinyl Preservation windows.

+ -1 moreWent very well. The only thing I felt fault with was a radio ad on WBAP which indicated you could pay by credit. The ad failed to say there would be a 4% charge for using a credit card. We paid cash.

+ -1 moreReplacing windows is a pain. You talk with a bunch of companies who all try to tell you something different. Clarity was a breath off fresh air. The owner came out to provide the estimate. He provided accurate information, without the hard sell that a lot of other companies did. The crew showed up on time, and got done with the whole installation in one day. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. Clarity might have been a bit more expensive than some of the others, but their professionalism made the cost difference immaterial. We were happy.
Description of Work: Clarity replaced all 10 windows and the patio door.

+ 0 moreClarity Windows salesman came to my house and showed me the windows they had to offer. I made the order then and waited two weeks and three days before the windows were put in. A man came out and took measurements of each window and I have six Windows. The windows are custom-made to fit. Each window has its own serial number so if anything happens to that window I call the company and given them the serial number and they come out and replaced the window. One person, a man, put in the six Windows 1 at a time. He did a very professional job and I would definitely use Clarity Windows again and I have already referred them to my neighbors. I also have a lifetime warranty on the Windows and if I sell the house the warrantee goals with the house. I rate Clarity Windows with than A+++.
Description of Work: The services were down to Earth. The salesman come by and explained to me how the Windows foldout to clean and the safety lock on each window. Also the windows are tinted which helps with the heat. The salesman had small-scale models of the Windows and I could choose between three styles which one I wanted. The salesman very knowledgeable and did not pressure me.

The door was built in about 3 weeks and clarity called me every Friday during the process to let me know the status. They called me again, the day before it was to be completed, to set up an install time. The process was extremely well thought out and very customer focused. I'm a believer in Clarity Windows.

We are through with the second set of window replacements and the first replacements have been functioning for over 2 years. We are happy with the reduced heating and cooling bills even though all of the windows have not been replaced. They are easier to clean as well. Overall they helped me stay within my budget while giving me a superior window that should last for years.
Description of Work: Jack met with us and discussed the advantages of his window to replace the 20 year old windows in our house. I chose to replace the windows on each side of the house starting with the west, then east then north and finally south over four years.

+ -1 moreRapid response to a request for a quotation. The salesman answered all our questions. The demonstration of there windows was impressive (the same on used by other vendors). Our original quote request was for only three (3) windows. After comparing bids from 2 others, the Clarity windows performed better but where slightly more expensive and only had 1/2 screens. Clarity was able to match the price AND provide full screens. The measurement for the windows went without a hitch. The windows representative arrived on time and called before arrival. Window order time was about 4 weeks. We where updated weekly (Fridays) on the status of our windows. Once the delivery date of the windows was known, the installation was scheduled. The installers arrived on time and also called prior to their arrival. When finished, all trash and installation waste was removed and windows cleaned, My only complaint was that Clarity did not follow-up after installation.
Description of Work: Installed 9 double hung replacement windows. All work done in one day. Company was open to negotiation to match other bids.
