Description of Work: Replaced a deck. Did a very good job! Arrived on job site and worked on the job till it got done. We didn't have to worry if they were coming back to finish. Cleaned up everyday on the job. We were very impressed.

+ 0 moreIn order to keep my yard from getting full of construction debris and dust, Mr. Garcia constructed the wall off-site. It has passed the neighborhood association's requirement and matches my house so well, it looks like it was part of the house when it was originally built. As for my little dog's ramp, which is right by her doggie door, she has her independence back. Mr. Garcia came up with this idea all on his own once he heard about my sweet baby's plight. It too matches the house. Mr. Garcia, owner of Home Sweet Home Improvement, is easy to work with and is eager to please his customers.
Description of Work: My neighborhood association required me to have a privacy wall to hide my trash/recycle cans. Mr. Garcia constructed a stucco wall that matches my house perfectly. Also, as my dog ages, she is unable to go up and down the steps to go outside. To solve this problem, Mr. Garcia built her a ramp and even put side rails on it as she is wobbly.

+ 0 moreOverall the job was not the least bit professional. My husband is a retired carpenter so he does know how things should be built, he just can't do it himself any longer. He said they had no idea what they were doing.
Description of Work: We called this contractor and he came out and bid the job for a deck and paved walkway. The deck was specifically for a hot tub so the contractor was aware that the necessary foundation posts needed to be set to evenly carry the weight. The deck was very poorly laid out, the worker didn't even have a tape measure and the workers were nailing 2x4 boards with three inch nails in at an angle. The frame they built was totally out of square and was four feet too small. We had to fire them before they messed it up any further. No offer of a refund so we kept the materials but totally not worth the money they received. They literally ran to the bank to cash the check. I would not let these yahoos build a dog house for me.

+ 1 moreOverall work was good ,a few things had to be done over but it was corrected in a timely manner.The one negative thing is they were not resposible about covering up our furniture to protect it,we had to do that ,& a few things were damaged & broken. Overall we were happy with the work &length of time it to complete the job.
Description of Work: Removed old tile& carpet installed some new tile & hardwood floors. Painted interior.took out old lights&mirrors in bathrooms installed new ones.Repaired a section of concrete sidewalk.

Description of Work: I only had an estimate provided to perform attic remodeling. Mr. Garcia was timely and very knowledgeable in assessing the project. He itemized the quote to show each cost and allow for partial remodeling if I wanted to perform in phases. The cost ranged from $7000 - $19000.

Description of Work: I needed repairs to some drywall, including matching of the texture and paint. Also needed carpet padding replaced and carpet stretched.

+ 22 moreHe did such a beautiful job and was so dependable with my Houston home in 2008, I commissioned Mr. Garcia to modify my new Austin home in November, 2010. Due to the fact that Mr. Garcia has a lot of pride in his work, he typically has one job going at a time so he was very available to answer all questions, plus he oversees his crew to make sure they are performing to his high standards. With my short timeframe for the Austin job, he had up to 15 people working here at the house that he had to supervise. I consider Mr. Garcia to be a master craftsman and someone I can depend on for various handyman-type issues, too.
