Top Notch Gutters

We haven't had the work completed yet. We contacted them based on their recommendation and the services we saw on the website. He was on time and gave us the estimate. We have been busy and haven't had time to do the work. We would get another estimate from them.

Extremely fast and professional. They did what they said they would do, showed up when they promised and did an outstanding job in detail. Will be using them as often as possible.

Larry was very punctual and got to my house within a couple days of our initial discussion. Was very professional and identified only the gutters that needed cleaning and repair. Not 'padding' the job with parts of the gutter system that were already clean and in good working condition. He even identified a patchy paint job on a part of a gutter that he replaced (no charge) after he had given me an estimate. I would definatly recommend Top Notch Gutters and will use them again in the future.

Larry the owner was exactly on time for the estimate appointment. He and his crew were on time for the actual installation. His crew knows their job and goes right to work. The price quoted was the price paid. He gives a military discount. The work performed looks great. Highly recommend this crew.

I called for an estimate for gutter/leaf guard and rain barrel installation. Larry answered the phone right away and was able to make a timely appointment with me. Showed up when he said he would. He provided me an estimate same day and sat down with me and explained the differences between the types of leaf screens they could install. He provided me an four estimates based on the different types of leaf screen he could install. The estimate at the time sounded very reasonable. In talking with him he knew I used Angies's list and that I was also a veteran. At the end of the estimate presentation he marked through the four different estimates and put a lower number stating that was a discount for using Angie's list. Then went through this process again and marked through each estimate putting a lower number stating that was a discount for being a veteran. At this point I was feeling very good about the estimate thinking I was going to get a great price on the product and great services based on feedback I had read on Angie's List about this vendor. I was going to just arrange a date for him to install but my gut told me to check out another vendor. I ended up calling Hill Country Gutters who was recommended by a friend. It just so happens that Hill Country Gutters is also on Angie's list and only had one review at the time and it was not a good review. Since my friend was so supportive of this company I chose to call them. I had a great experience with this vendor, his presentation on gutters/leaf guards provided additional information that Top Notch did not cover. The estimate for the same work and leaf screen from Top Notch was $2.451 and $1740 from Hill Country Gutter. $700 difference. Long story short, I went with Hill Country Gutter, because he appeared to be forth right, honest...I got a great job, done timely, great clean up and saved $700 bucks. My recommendations 'Always get more than 1 estimate!'

They came out and installed the gutters and downspouts while the trees were being trimmed. They connected one gutter to an existing gutter saving me the cost of another downspout. They installed the two new downspouts into rain barrels (heavy duty trash cans) and cut the lids as required to fit the downspout into the rain barrel. They offered to do this. They called before they came out to remind me to unlock the gate. They offered to leave the back yard if my dog had to go outside. I had requested that the existing gutter have a screen put on. It already had the screen, so they installed the screen on the new gutters. They were very willing to please me.

Larry scheduled the work for both homes on the same day, then showed up as promised and completed the job. I don't know if he had anyone working with him or not. He did the home in Boerne first. Those gutters required repairs for which he gave a one-year warranty. Then, he did the home in San Antonio, handed the bill to my husband and said to mail payment to the address on the invoice. I've never had a service contractor who didn't want payment right then and there! He's a very nice man, and I will definitely call him for any gutter work that we need in the future.

The owner's name is Larry. They were honest, straightforward, and helpful. The clean-up was really good. I didn't even know that they had been there in my house. They did the work during the day when I was at work.

I called in the morning about a loose gutter. Larry said he would be out that afternoon. He responded promptly and fixed the gutter in a windstorm. He took what could have been a huge problem and fixed it in a timely manner. I HIGHLY recommend this service. They are friendly, professional, affordable and timely.

The project went very well. Larry came out promptly when I contacted him and performed all measurements and provided me a written estimate of all recommended work. He and his associate Carl completed the job in a timely and professional manner and were very thorough. They discovered some damage to the roof during the course of the work and suggested I hire a roofer to assess needed repairs, which I did. Larry coordinated well with the roofer so as to complete the gutter reattachment after the roofer had completed the roof repairs. Larry was very customer oriented and it was a pleasure to work with him and Carl. I highly recommend him and will call him again should I need further gutter work on my house.

Called number on Angies list. Larry called back promply, showed up on a Saturday for the estimate. Did a walk around assessment of the house and pointed out problem areas. Gave 2 options, one higher and one lower cost. No high pressure sales. Showed up a few days later, (on time) and completed the work. Very nice quality work, fair price. Would recommend.

I called Larry to arrange for an estimate. He came out the very next day and gave me an estimate. I called him a few days later to arrange for an installation date. He and his crew were punctual and worked very hard to complete the job. They were very professional and courteous. They encouraged me to inspect their work. When I found a down spout that I felt was in the wrong direction, one of the crew members immediately changed it for me. Overall, this was a great experience. Larry and his crew are prompt, professional and hard-working.

Larry and his crew worked for 2 days (they had to quit early the first day due to high winds). Larry was very professional--he called the day before to confirm. Upon prompt arrival each day, he told me how long he thought they would be on the job that day. All of the crew were very nice. They did an excellent job of cleaning up when the job was complete.

Larry and his crew showed up on time and got right to work, completed the job in about 3 hours. Crew was professional and did a very good job. Larry walked with me after the job was complete to inspect the installion of the gutters. A very good job.

Larry responded and came to my house within a half hour of my called. walked the house with me and answered my questions. Gave me a very reasonable estimate for his services and we set up a time for the work. Larry and crew returned a week later and completed work. Everything looks great and area was left clean. This was a very positive experience. I was very pleased with the price and work.

Larry Rittenberry is a pro. Initially invited company that did our original gutters out for an estimate. Sales guy was like a used car salesman ... not impressed. Although the original gutter installation was very good. They lost a second opportunity due to poor salesmanship and sales tactics. Contacted Top Notch Gutters after finding them through Angies List. Larry came out, looked at the job and provided a fair estimate. Without telling him, he knew exactly the company that did the original installation. I was impressed. Larry is personable and professional. They actually showed up a day earlier than anticipated and were installing the gutter job when I arrived home. It looked excellent and Larry was present on the job. I was excited to have the gutters being installed because I would be able to open the garage without water sheets coming down. Then I looked up and realized that half of the double car side of the garage (we have a 3 car garage) would not be covered due to it being open to a higher up roof line. I went inside to moan to my wife (it was my oversight). Within 15 minutes, Larry was at the door and offered me a deal I couldn't refuse to solve my disappointment by installing a gutter and downspout that would drain into the one he already installed. I accepted his gracious offer and couldn't be more thrilled. Most companies wouldn't do this and certainly not for the price Larry offered, but he said he had the material on site and treated it like it was no big deal. Now, we're very happy that the first company had a jerky sales guy; otherwise, we wouldn't have found Top Notch and Larry Rittenberry. We'll never call the other company again. This was an excellent experience and Larry was exceptional ... definitely HIRE TOP NOTCH GUTTERS ... seems like disappointment isn't in their vocabulary. Called Larry, he came out as scheduled, we set an appointment for Larry to install gutters. He was on time and did an outstanding job of installation in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend Top Notch Gutters.

Larry came to the house in the evening to give us an estimate. He took measurements and quickly provided a number. It was significantly lower than other estimates we had received but his references on Angies List encouraged us to hire him. He and his crew arrived promptly at the agreed upon date and time and work was completed quickly. A tricky "bump out" on the house, which had me concerned, was dealt with and the result looks like it belongs there. Larry was cheerful, friendly, and professional. When we got the first rainfall after installation, we noticed a leak at one of the corners. We called Larry and within a day or so, he came and fixed it. End result looks great, and protects a new deck we had installed. I'm sure I will never need to call Larry again for gutters but I highly recommend him to others

Larry Rittenberry, owner of Top Notch Gutters, came promptly at prearranged time of appointment and spent a considerable amount of time explaining all of the options involved. He went over all the details with us and bid a fair price for the work to be performed. We discovered that the gutter company we hired several years ago installed gutters improperly and we thus did not get the benefit of the relatively expensive gutter that was installed at that time. The gutter was inferior and the workmanship totally unacceptable. We were lucky to find, through someone's recommendation and Angie's List, Mr. Rittenberry (Top Notch) and were immediately impressed with his knowledge of the product and the type of installation that would give us years of dependable service. Mr. Rittenberry suggested that (at our option) he tear down the old gutters around the house, and then, in a two week interum, we clean, scrape, prime and repaint the fascia around the house. We completed this task, and, on 7/29/2010, Mr. Rittenberry returned with his crew of three to manufacture our seamless gutters on his special equipment attached to his truck. Our biggest surprise was the excellent and competent crew of Top Notch that worked a full day at our home. Each of them, Michael and Tom, experienced, excellent installers, and newer employee Carl, showed an unusual zeal to give the most expert installation possible. Whenever a better idea presented itself, they discussed their suggestion with Mr. Rittenberry and, upon approval, implemented their ideas. They went the extra mile, as did Mr. Rittenberry, who drove some 20miles out of his way simply to acquire a downspout in another color that he thought better fit the decor of our home. Mr. Rittenberry and his superb crew were excellent, hard working and constantly strived to resolve problems and to please us. We found Mr. Rittenberry to be honest, ethical, anxious to please as he certainly went beyond the call of duty. We would readily recommend Top Notch Gutters to others.
